@PLOttawa no but you can do that if you assingn the MPD to work on the sampler section of the VDJ is exactly the same prosedure I descrebed on the video

Does anybody know if the mpd18 can play samples on vdj, regardless if its the preloaded samples or your own that you load to it. I want to use it for sound effects to add to music while dj'n. Or does the mpd18 only play programmed in effects?

@jamesharrell19 you need to preselected hotstart or extra cue points in each track before you can sampling on, you can used the mpd to trigger effects on vdj but you have to mapping manually also you can sampling and change the pich on the fly by moving the slider on the mpd at the same time you sampling remember you have A B and C pad on the mpd so you have virtually 54 pads (18x3) to do sampling or effects

I have VDJ 7 and the config window is a bit different then version 5 you wouldnt happen to know how I would locate the MPD18 in version 7 would you?

@CovingtonOfficial the turntable it's a Technics MKII 1200 at market price right now is from $1050 all the way to $400 used and the BCD3000 it's like $200 the serato vinyl it's like $20 and the MPD18 like $150

@cstylewit1 the MPD18 can triger any button on the VDJ such like loop in out affect pitch been I mean any button you want or even effects or buttons it's not there like reverse, brake whit echo and many more you can get on the net

@romezuniverse dit you set up the cue point in your song?

is order to make the MPD work you have to set up the cue points in every song you want to sampling like this song I have 10 different cue point all ready set up

to set up cues you have to push ctrl and the number you wand to used for that cue in keyboard at the same time like for example number 2 cue you press ctrl and 2 at same time number 3 cue press ctrl and 3 at same time and so on

Ey uclafan99 so sorry I accidentally deleted your comment (sorry man I am not familiar whit the new youtube yet ) any way the answer is I have no idea how to set up the mpd whit cerato's software I been never work with but I think have to by so similar to VDJ cus they used the same time codes vinyl but let me see what I can do I work right now on tractor software since I only have tractor and VDJ
