  • just purchased my 90 miata that needs total tlc, its clips like this that keeps me motivated on staying focus

  • And awesome car

  • Awesome driving dude

  • If you look closely in the rear-view at 1:21 you can see a tear roll down the Viper driver's cheek.

  • @MyOpinionMatterss - I never noticed that - I only noticed the small amount of urine leaking out the door right hand turns... :)

  • @bekermario Was that from from your passenger? lol I'd piss myself too!

  • @MyOpinionMatterss HAHAHAHA, I should have written out of the LEFT door (of the Viper) on right hand turns... as the g forces leaked the drivers piss out the drivers door... OK - that's crude.

  • daaamn good for u man, no wonder i see u posting videos of u driving an EVO on prostreet, good luck with that, what class racing do u plan on competing in with the EVO?

  • @XRoadStarX We are thinking of the Global Time Attack. I did the last event of the year in my friend's street car and took 3rd. We ran this car because there was a slot for us in the 800hp car which was not ready yet. I was the only car with AC, power windows, stereo, full interior and only a lap belt...

  • so u still have ur miata right?

  • @XRoadStarX Yep - the 390hp motor needs a rebuild. I'm waiting to get caught up with finances before I track it again. The 800hp 2700lb EVO is my next ride. I have a sponsor.

  • ok now i know how to ask my question thoroughly, what i meant to ask is what size is the housing, .60 or .84 AR?

  • @XRoadStarX .60 I believe

  • Cant match the Handling of the miata. Stock is realy fun and excelent. Extra handling add ons(strut bar, lowering springs, aftermarket gas shocks..ect) is EVEN MORE BAD-ASS!!!

  • @S2Kimporter - I also have an S2K stock... I love that car... so reliable on track when I instruct. The miata has a better suspension now - but the 390hp motor that it has in now. needs a rebuild... Oh welll... probably next year the beast will be out again. That video had an old spec miata suspension with dead shocks and binding urethane bushings... it's all fixed with custom valved Fat Cat suspension.

  • @bekermario Yes, very true the S2K is very reliable. Just installed a vortech's turbo. and close gear ratio. very fast still needs more things though.

  • @S2Kimporter That sounds like it will be a LOT of fun. If I do mod this car, I will go for a new suspension. That's the one thing this great chassis needs... more damping and a little less roll. But speed is something we all need !

  • Great driving, it's unbelievable how much faster you stop than the viper. Can't believe you pulled off 250whp on a piggyback!

    R comps or street tires?

  • Im working on building mine right now

  • Now that's what I call aggressive driving. Nice driving good sir

  • safe recovery after 2:40 and then an exchanged look of relief.

  • @tommiedatrip Ha ha... just a minor correction. The car at that time had on old urethane bushings which were never greased and so the suspension used to bind and was unpredictable.

  • very nice driving, but why do you keep changing your wheel grip? the corners aren't that tight.

also what kind of HP are we talking about here?

  • @xBDBx Great Question. At the time, I was at 252 to the wheels. I am running 225 45 on 8 inch rims. I removed the power steering from the power steering rack - and I am not close enough to the wheel. So I prefer to shuffle. It gives me more leverage and it's better closer to 9 and 3 as far as precision.

  • @bekermario Nice driving though mate looks really nice to drive, I just picked up a 2000 mk2 1,8s in the uk but the power isn't enough so I'm already thinking about the best way to fix that. I had a 380hp mr2 but the miata is a much nicer car to drive, just too slow :)

Have you still got the car? I see this is vid is a few years old.

    Well done mate

  • @MyCosmicPath : Thank you. At the time, I only had 252whp, and that piggyback ECU made it very difficult to drive on track. There was a significant delay between throttle inputs to response time... add to that the normal turbo lag and it was not good. So I had to anticipate throttle about 1 second ahead of time. It was sort of like playing a video game with slow responding controls. I still have it and it puts down 342 at the wheels now. I love the MR2 - by the way.

  • @bekermario mr2 turbo brakes were crap, mine was the revision 4 1997 but I could cook the brakes really fast and the rear always felt too heavy, I have adjsutable push and pull rods, coilovers, arc adjustable roll bars tons of stuff but the standard lsd diff was a joke IMO. maybe my idea of a great car is something that I'll never get to drive :O) but I can dream.

    stay safe bud.

    john

  • @xBDBx I agree nice driving but keep your hands at 9oclock and 3 oclock you will be faster

  • fantastic.

  • very nice setup it's almost just like my turbo del sol but handles better my car is at it's limits so I'm gonna get a miata and hopefully have it ready for some time attack events next season is this a flyin miata kit and is it on stock internals

  • @DcEvoIX Great... are you in NorCal? You should certainly check out Fat Cat and talk to Shaik about Miata suspensions. Tell him Mario sent you.

  • @bekermario I wish I'm in new jersey, I am probably gonna source most things through flyin miata but I'm not to sure whether to go with some 1 piece coilovers or that suspension kit fm has that comes with the sway bars

  • @DcEvoIX : Well you can tell the folks at FM, that Mario agrees that they will steer you in the right direction. They know their stuff. It's not worth experimenting when Flyin' Miata already figured it out!

  • @bekermario very true I can't wait to get it setup and hit the track next year so I can take out the cars in the turns that I was only able to stay in front of on straights

  • @DcEvoIX -- Sounds like you have an EVO by your youtube name. My friend has an EVOVIII which puts down 440whp... I drive that a lot and it's pretty awesome. He's building a stripped gutted race car with his other EVO... it's just about done and weighs 2800lbs with full cage! The motor should put down... are you ready for this?... 700 wheel horsepower! I will get to drive this beast in time attacks. I'm getting excited about that!

  • @bekermario I used to have an evo but I had to get rid of it due to our lovely economy, but that's pretty serious for a time attack car if you take that on thunder hill you might spend more time airborne than on the track lol, just make sure you post vids I wanna see that beast

  • @DcEvoIX I will make sure to post video. It seems like another dream come true. We will need to do some development on it to dial it in. And it will be hard to throttle steer, I think, a car with that kind of boost potential. The turbo lag might be scarey! It's using a 3.5 inch downpipe... and rear exhaust is going to be aluminum to save weight. Crazy huh?

  • @bekermario sounds awesome, depending on the build and tune will show the lag but there is some high hp time attack evo's and the lag isn't bad at all on them like the hks evo and since you will have an evo 9 the mivec really helps kill some lag but that thing is gonna feel like your getting shot out of a cannon exiting the apex, and I wouldn't worry about throttle steering evo's can take being tossed into a corner at higher speeds than most people are comfortable with

  • @DcEvoIX Sounds like you know your stuff. Yes - I agree, Evo's are wicked forgiving. The challenge is to finesse them with about a 7% slip angle... and don't worry if you totally blow a corner... the car will push... but can be gently coaxed into rotating mid corner with a drop throttle and a little left foot braking.

  • @bekermario yea there is a couple tricks to getting the weight off the rear tires with evo's and the good thing is zero counter steer so when it lets go just angle it and give it some gas and it will go perfectly through a corner with no hassel

  • @DcEvoIX I actually broke Robispec's record in one of his cars during a Redline Time Attack at CA Speedway (my first time there.) YEs - the Evo like's to be coaxed into a corner otherwise it pushes - albeit safely. I found myself using some gently left foot braking mid corner to correct - by helping to rotate the rear.

  • @bekermario that's awesome and yea I think anyone that wants to drive an awd car fast better get used to left foot braking, it feels weird but it helps so much, I use it alot when awd drifting so I can get more angle and correct the understeer

  • @DcEvoIX It sure sounds like you know what the hell you're doing! I'm excited as hell about this opportunity... and would like to thank my sponsors... :)

  • @bekermario yea I've had the luck of being able to go from car to car while I was teaching myself how to race now I'm out of cash but got some skills to do a nice little budget build, which are always fun and if I pick up sponsors like you more will come, good luck I'm sure you will rock the competition.

  • @DcEvoIX Sweet... Thank you and I can't wait to hear what you come up with.

If it rains, I will do well.

Did you ever see my rain race in full competition? It's at Infineon

    in a hard hard downpoor.

  • what trim do u have on ur turbine in this video?

  • @XRoadStarX I forget. I think it was t28rs

  • Respond to this video... NO it was the disco patato I believe

  • Looked like a blast. Thanks for posting!

  • @CrotalusKid You're welcome... check out a race that was more intense... (in our 130hp Integra Race car):

  • @CrotalusKid

    1 of 2 PTE Race, finished 2nd of 13

  • excellent driving and seems like an amazing miata setup

  • @IRideBrakeless

Thanks! It's much fast now - better suspension and tires. But engine needs a rebuild. Next year!!!

  • @bekermario good luck!

  • Bekermario: you gonna be at thill anytime soon? I'll be there 7/9 with NCRC

  • @zndhnm I will be there racing in August with NASA, but with the race car, not the Miata. I use that to give people rides and instruct. It also needs an engine rebuild, which I plan to do next year. It's in need of a head gasket and probably a complete overall of the motor. I would have been there this Friday, with TEAM Racing, but got called to a nuclear plant - so had to cancel. Also a Teen Driving Clinic in July...

  • AWESOME DRIVING!!!

  • @zndhnm Thanks... If you want to see much better driving, check out the Race with Randy Evan's under bekermario's videos

  • @lovesvag69 I just shot my load down the back of your mothers throat and then your little sister licked my dick clean.

  • if this was a gay car ...well that viper got passed by a gay car ...... silly fag ... sel36 pull your head out of your ass and drive one before you bash on the miatas... o wait i remember he likes civics just like other people who loves to lower the car and put fart cans... ahh ok that explains...i guess for him this cars are gay ...

  • @MazdaBp26

Nice response! The Viper was a 600hp car, being driven by an instructor. I only had 252 to wheels at that time. It now makes 340whp. And - I guess maybe some people call it gay because it can sniff ass on most other cars. And sniffing ass might be considered gay :) LOL.

  • @bekermario if that viper was driven by an instructor i just dont know what to say doesnt even look like he knew what lines to take

  • @dcin1 :

Well - some people cannot drive well when they are looking out their rear view mirror, wondering how a Miata is stuck on their bumper. :)

  • GHEYER than GseriesFAIL's homer bucket.

  • @sel36

Help: I do not understand... can you explain?

    Mario

  • @bekermario

    arfcom inside joke

  • @bekermario No offense to you good sir, but that car is GHEY than a bag of dicks in sissy town.

  • @sel36

Are you trying to spell gay - as in homosexual? What makes the car gay? What would not be a gay car? A slower more expensive one?

  • is that a 1800 or a 1600? great driving btw, wish they something similar here in NZ

  • @BOOSTBUGGED

1800 with h-beam rods and wiseco pistons

  • love the PSHH sound!

  • @cplemoine1

Thanks... that's when I had a stock tranny and 252 to the wheels with a piggyback ECU. The car now puts down 350 to the wheels, Hydra ECU and Quiafe wide ratio tranny. I will be at ThunderHill again soon to go much much faster. Albeit - with worn old tires now. Can't wait!

  • Bubba did a little off road farming after passed the Viper. Must have been looking in the mirrors and didn't notice the turn. Easy to get excited when that happens. Wonder how good or level of the Viper driver?

  • @Cre8Thought41

Can you explain who when off road farming? I'd like to see!!!

  • @Cre8Thought41

I recall that the Viper Driver was an instructor... driving someone's car. I wish I was driving that 600hp Viper!

  • Art.

  • Thanx! If you ever go to a NASA event in Northen CA - I can take you for a ride... Being an instructor, I am not allowed to drive more than 80% - so it's always safe!

  • wat do u have on ur motor other than the turbo? im very interested to know

  • Built motor by Midnight Performance to take the abuse on track

  • Motor has h-b carrillo connecting rods, wiseco pistons, (stop compression ratio), Disco Potato turbo at 15psi, decent sized intercooler, water injection (after the intercooler), ss valves, double springs, AEM piggyback ECU.

  • that turbo sounds really badass man, wat kind of turbo and BOV u have?

  • Thanks! I have a T28RS turbo. The BOV is a little GReddy - don't know the model. The system needed to have the capacity to give me enough reliable torque and be quick spooling so as to be able to throttle it in the corners. I am still getting used to it...

  • hah, u drive it like a pro though....

  • thanks! I do race competition too.

  • That miata breathes fire. That engine sounds amazing...

  • Thanks... It surely is a fun fun and challenging car to drive fast.
