Chrysler is crap. My dodge nitro was the owrst car I ever owned, my old dodge avenger was also i piece of shit. The only decent cars they made were the Alpine because of it's great power steering and the PT cruiser because of it's reliablilty and ease of finding parts because it built on the world car architecture.

@heatherandpaul2 That's true to a point but, the viper ACR was the fastest production car around the Nurburgring. The Neon Srt-4 was the fastest car under 20,000 dollars. I mean they an make a car if they try..... the problem is they stopped trying a long time ago. Most of the problems they have had is because they took a lot of stuff from Mitsu like engines and transmissions. This is what nearly destroyed Hyundai before they started producing things in house. Chrysler's problem is reliability.

I own a black 2008 Dodge Avenger R/T AWD, Best handling car I ever owned, and it has the balls to haul down the highway. I love the AWD and 6 forward automatic/manual option, and it can haul ass down the highway.

Its funny that he says the engine redlines at 6000 rpm when the 3.5 doesn't make peak HP until 6400 rpm. Wonder what tach he was looking at...

i just bought the 09 sxt and my brother has the 08 r/t. we both love em and they're a lot of fun to drive. I think it gives a nice muscle look with a little bit of luxury in the interior. factory nav's go for $2000 its worth it comes with music hd, hands free phone through speakers, navigation, dvd player!

@apineda91 In europe it gets around 40 MPG. but small VW engine with small amount of power tough. VW 140 HP, 2,0L CRD engine. 0,61 liter per 10 KM. It compares good to other European and asians cars like Volvo S60, Ford Mondeo and Chevy Epica in terms of handling and comfort.

No, they are all automatics and come with the tap shift as well.

Hi I was wondering if this was a comfortabe car to drive and handle ? I have a 2006 chevy malibu and we are thinking of getting this car instead of the 2008 chevy malibu. but the comfort and the reliability are the main concerns, thanks.

Well, this sort of thing comes down to what you like, no? The Avenger R/T is like most Dodge R/T models, with a stiffer suspension than lesser models. Try before you buy. One big advantage the Avenger has over most of its competitors, however, is the availability of all-wheel drive.
