  • I was 9 years old in 1975 and growing up IN Atlanta, and I remember when my parents and I went to see it when it was in the theaters. It's more than just a favorite film to me, it's a photo album!!

  • Me too! I was 8 about to turn 9 when my dad took us to see this film. He made sure we saw the two sequels Uptown Saturday Night & A Piece of the Action.

Sidney originally produced and directed these films to silence many who said he wouldnt do roles or movies for blacks. He then direrected another of of my Favorites Buck & The Preacher (pops took the famil y to see it at the local drive in) I loved that movie for the music, lawd!!

  • Yes sir! The title of this particular movie is appropos sometimes when it comes to the '70s. Man DO I miss those days! BUT I'm happy to be here too! I'm sure you agree.

  • @vbx1967 ---yes! Buck & The Preacher was the bomb movie!!!

A major classic - the soundtrack, the characters and the movie as a whole. Many of your raps stars of today have sampled the music or been inspired by the characters from this movie

  • Fish And Chips Ferddy!!! Count It!!!!

  • ...Now, when we win, we don't wanna hafta go chasin' y'all all over Louisiana."

This is the scene where everybody in the theater fell out laughing 'cause Cos had just said he was gonna make them both look like they had a million...

  • Bill Cosby is a fool for sure.......

  • "Oh ain't gon' be no violence, 'cause I'm gon' hit you so hard you ain't gon' see NOTHIN', EVA!" LOL. One of my favorite movies ever. This and Uptown Saturday Night.

  • I remember seeing a double feature of "Uptown Saturday Night" and "Lets Do It Again" at a Drive In movie theatre outside of Toledo, OH when I was a kid...

  • I love this movie and that is my favorite scene. lol. Pep how he pull that pistol out. LMAO. Thats right.

  • The great james Evans

  • cosby was funny as hell playing with the gun...." you see kansa city, when we lose we pay off, you dig" funny classic!! check out the red suit!!!

  • look at young bill cosby

  • John Amos, McArthur Clutch, "Kansas City Mack". Great stuff. Cosby's "Slade" to Lockhart's "Hiawatha Smalls": "I know you 6'2 and good-lookin'. How'd you like to be 2'6 and ugly? We want the girl, and the money, in Chicago, in the mornin'. Nice talkin' to you, Biggie."

  • MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!

  • That's "Bubble" Top Woodson. But yeah, you're right; they had a lot of crazy and unforgettable names. "Fish & Chips" Freddie, Mongo Slade, Kansas City Mack, Bootney Farnsworth, 40th Street Black, and of course the now Notorious, "Biggie Smalls" (before that rapper from Brooklyn, NY made it a household name). This is probably my favorite 70's movie.

  • All I got to FUCKIN say is Sidney.Sidney,Sidney,Sidney!!!Pointier is a actor, producer, director, comedian.Hollywood artist from my perspective.Legend..I have a feeling he made Bill Cosby as star.

  • Mongo slade.ha,ha,ha.

  • My man Bill is DOIN IT in that bright red combo. I'm done. The 70's went hard!

  • That's my Shit!!!!

  • Jody Tibbs looks like a str8 KILLER. I would not want to come across him in the streets.

  • jl2279: Jody Tibbs played Goldie's mentor in "The Mack". I thought the hardest looking dude from Kansas City Mack's crew was Bubble Top.

  • Bubble Top played Tommy Gibb's father (Fred Williamson) in Black Caesar and Hell Up In Harlem. He is bringin' it, but for whatever reason, Jody Tibbs is sittin iver there lookin' like he could crack concrete. This is one of my favorite movies ever.

  • BubbleTop was probably the most popular, he played a part in James Bonds "Live and Let Die" (Yaphet Kotto's bodyguard), but we also cant forget Fish n Chips Freddy. They collectively made up the STRONG ARM BREAKERAGE FIRM, their motto: "WE GET EVEN, and YOU CAN COUNT ON IT"

  • Also "Scatter" in Superfly

  • Bubba Top Woodson! LOL, crazy names but great movie.

  • Fish N Chips Freddie LMAO
