The navajo believe in worlds. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and we're in the fifth world. We crawled out of the planets, from water to darkness and desert, winter. It's all strange and difficult for me to explain, google navajo religion. changing woman, earth. O_o
I like the movie because it's generally good anyway, but there's also a 1950s cheesiness factore in it which makes it even cooler. I love watching the intro with the professor. I'll bet he was an awesome teacher. Having said that, it's awesomely funny the way he pretends to be writing at the beginning, as if the camera just walked in on him at work lol. Then he closes the book in the wrong direction. I also like the way people did presentations back then with real posters and not powerpoint!

I love it, yes I've smoked a few myself... thank you very much. If only I'd have known when I was just a kid seeing this for the first time back in the 50s. :)
I see Hugh Beaumont from 'Leave It To Beaver' The father of Beaver. Funny, I just watched Invasion from Mars and Barbara Billingsley (mother of Beaver) had a bit part. Connections everywhere.
Wow--they could have at least let her live at the end and enjoy her new world. Her death was staged pretty bad--she practically had to run around and throw herself under the column.
Love the documentary style opening of this movie. I had all these 50's sci-fi classics on VHS back in the 80's--I've replaced most on DVD now. This is one I still need to get on DVD.
I remember first watching this movie back in 1967 on Wide Scream Theater....I've always enjoyed watching again...brings back lots of memories from childhood...Thanks for the download!!!

Anyone know when this quote appears?
This one died from a blow from a heavy blunt instrument. Well, that's a sign of a higher civilization.

This is borrowing from Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and the Pellucidar series of Edgar Rice Burroughs.
