right :) just tune your E string to a low C, take the 5th fret of the C and you'll get your A string to F, etc. (just standard way of tuning) note: a lot of QOTSA songs are tuned this way

It's the same, but because you have to tune your bass very low, the 12th fret on the C gets a bit out of tune.
