@OnlyMusicismyLove - you dont have to paint it to be able to wear it. the important thing is to not sand to much off the mask because that could weaken the shell.

@Eddy84711 - painting the mask one color like that isnt hard to do. its the same as when he did the white "multiple light layers"

Say I just bought a helmet from the store and I want to take the current design off, if I sand it and finish it like that, don't paint it, is it safe to use like that? or is the paint actually an important part?

it'd be nice to SEE you paint it. instead of afterwards. set up the camera and take video! what good does "now I am about to put on the pearl white" SPLICE to finished product- do for us....

How many coats of clear did you use. I see you were very particular about the number of coats for your bases.
