sea fishing in galway for mackeral and dogfish

hi alex. they were cheap spinning rods man. the one jordan got the mackerel on was a little mitchell adventure spinning rod with a cast weight of 1oz. if we know we're fishing an area with pretty smallish standard fish we always drop down to as light gear as possible. that way you can maxamize the fun you have with them and if you have kids fishing with you, they think even a small fish can put up a scrap worthy of jaws on a 50lb class boat rod lol!!

thanks geminiconman. we had some great sessions out in connemara and sligo last year. all the lads made us feel welcome and we can't wait to make our way back out to the west coast again this year again

cracking little fisherman there mate, nice to get then into sea fishing when they are young, then they will keep that knowledge at the back of their mind all their lives, even if as in my case they dont fish for 28 years or so, its still there, that basic know how, the rest they can recap of you tube,lol
