Boom Boom Boom lemme hear that Fire in the Sectaaaa Its an electrofieing wooom wizz jizz wow, its a burning lal, boom boom POW, BOmb bomb Boom!! Boom boom SCREEEETCCCCH! Bomb bomb (Hard drive Fatal Sector Error) (Head Crash) Time for the Head Bangers Bible! ROOOOOOHHHGGTTT
i WAS expecting to hear BOOM BOOM SCREEEEEETCH!!!!!! BOOM BOOM SCREEEEETCH. BOOM BOOM PRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WITH A DEAD HDD AMPLIFIED THROUGH THE SPEAKERS!! BOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOM SCREEEEEETCCCHHH!
i found an instructable of this and its amazing how it actually works, i made one earlier today and hooked it to my kenwood that pushes out like 80 watts per channel and it pushed so much it went into speaker protection mode and shut down on me, lol
The head isn't vibrating too much. The head is parked (its a safety function to keep the head still when the drive is off). There is a little piece of plastic that keeps the arm in place, if you tape that down or remove it the head will move freely along the width of the platter. It will look cooler too.
this is kinda cool exept than you can use just about any electrical motor as a speaker. thats what it looks like is happanin here as long as you dont care about the quality of sound.
it looks like an old sony set of computer speakers of a subwoofer, also what are those square things seen reflected off the hard drive disk at 6 seconds they look like lights or TVs even i dunno
Yes it is from a sony set of computer speakers my dad bought for my brothers first computer running windows 3.1. The square things are the doors to idea cabinets.
I had a Digital Venturis 486 SX PC and it ran windows 3.11 it was a nice pc till i installed a multimedia kit and started recording music on it fillin up the hard drives and it only had like 700 mb of hard drive spaceout of 2 drives a 270 mb and a 345 mb
ummm it makes a sound derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Use songs that have very low bass like techno bass google for bass testing tracks and there are some free ones out there you can check limewire too look up techno bass
it won't be very good for storing data now though.. lolz nice job, i'm going to do this with a busted hhd of mine, the soldering iron is warming up right now while i'm typing ...
wow, i got that song just now, it sound like a hole diferent song! i think your only playing the left side or something"i saw the sigh, and it opened up my eyes!" lol, the coress is completely gone in your video.
its the magnet at the end of the voice coil. you can take a piece of foam rubber that you must put besides the spool. then u gonna get a nice sound. I´ve built this thing too an i used that trick. you´ll get a nice sound, if you do it!
Now make an SSD speaker.

the head is not parked. songs with low bass do not move the head alot. songs with high base shake it alot.

tjorn2 4 years ago
it will work with any electeric motor if you hook it up to the terminals.
kartboy1234 4 years ago
i tried this and it worked but the reading arm didnt move
tjorn2 4 years ago
The song that you play has to have alot of bass to make the head move because the high pitched sounds make it move so fast you dont see it.
