  • @chezlovr2percnt hahahahahahaha!!

  • Honestly spray paint isnt very good for the environment

  • Maybe if you cut out some interesting shapes from the plastic and arranged them in a more petal-like overlapping pattern, but it seems kind of odd to me to leave the opening of the bottle on the flowers and to hang them with a thick conspicuous twine like that. Nice idea though.

  • Cool! Thanks Imma do this then hang them in my room

  • Why are people always so mean and judgmental? There are a zillion ways to make this craft your own. Its a good, basic craft skill. Sheesh guys.

  • Stop talking smack about this girl. Shes nice and cute and well dressed which says she's trying. Unlike you complainers. If you don't like this project, just stfu and stay on the couch, lol. Want some cheese with that whine??

  • If you perhaps cut off the mouthpiece and put like a button in the middle it would look cuter

  • why not trim around the petals and make them a little more diverse and interesting?...sparkle sprinkle would look great too!!

  • Ah yes, spray paint is so wonderful for the environment. Looks just like spray painted garbage on a string. Woo.

  • i think they look kindof cool at the end

theyd look cool handing over a window

  • Why in the hell are you using a box cutter next to your leg! If you want to die of blood loss go right ahead.

  • k this is kind of a lame craft.

  • <- Come see how to make a dress, skirt or a headbang :D

  • That would be cool for party decorations

  • i dont see how this is recycling..

Cant you just return the bottles , seems like a better idea then making crap out of it

Plus spray paint isnt realy good for environment either.

Im not trying to bicth over the new people on thread banger but i realy wonder if they were the best replacements because there are DIY-ers that realy make the same quality things as Rob,Meg and Corinne made.

  • THIS IS NOT GREEN.

    You are a yuppie.

  • Thread Banger is DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    cause secretlifeofabionerd killed it!

  • @SheepsAreFluffy And you're really helping. Go away.

  • f people are really upset with the direction Threadbanger is heading, I urge you to write directly to its parent company, Next New Networks, to protest Corinne & Meg's leaving , its was not there choice to leave .

  • @kevincrave ???? What do you mean????

  • @Zerila1 Corinne & Meg did not want to leave Threadbanger ,they were fired by the people at Next New Networks (Next New Networks owns alot of popular shows on youtube) Rob was already doing some other projects at the time ,you can tell because he wasnt in many Threadbanger episodes. BUT if people dont like whats going on they can email Next New Networks at there web site just click on "about" then click on "contact us" and there is a list of emails you can use i would send it to Press Inquiries

  • you know what i do to reduce the number of plastic soda/water bottles in the landfill? i leave them in the grocery store.....with the soda/water still in them.....

  • eh...

  • Was that a young Sarah Palin in that opening commercial?!

  • her home must be full of rubbish but on the plus side her bin costs must be very low

  • i love almost how every single one of her videos have more dislikes than likes...

  • Neat project, would be good for a garden party.

Do you guys have any tutorials for larger scale stuff? Do you have any good clothing reconstruction tutorials?

I'm not trying to rag on you that you aren't the old cast of TB, you seem to just be lending your ecocurious videos to TB in the first place, but there is only so much I can do with a bunch of small projects like the ones you've been showing. Ultimately, they will lead to clutter, so I'd prefer seeing things that I can use every day.

  • Ok no matter how much you people keep bitching its not going to bring back the old cast. Plus if any of you thnk you can do better than by all means go ahead and do so. If not then stop with your patheic fit. Maybe she should hav edone it with finger paints and safty sissors for you bunch of toddlers. YOu know if you could think of ideas for them and send thenm a comment- instead of constantly bashing them for trying. Its not like the old cast didn't do everyting already.

  • wouldn't recycling bottles so they can be made into fleece etc be A LOT eco-friendlier?

  • ew, lol

this could have been a cute idea if you expanded on it. the design is way too simple. eek.

  • Mixed signals with this video

    EcoFriendly in mind=GOOD

    Making your own Decor=GOOD

    Reusing Things=GOOD

Reusing things into potentially dangerous object (sharp edges, plastic exposed to direct sunlight)=BAD

An unwearable craft on TB that doesn't include fabric=BAD[even curtains use fabric]

Ignoring safety common sense(cutting on your lap)=BAD

ThreadBanger is not reflected anywhere in the video= BAD

If I watched this in fullscreen without looking at the username i wouldn't have guessed TB.

  • why would you mix biodegradable material like the yarn in this video with non-degradable things, like plastic ?

  • LMAO IS THIS FOR SERIOUS?

She was better off showing us how to throw bottles into a recycling bin.

  • why did so many people rated thumbs down?

  • HIDEOUS!! and really sad : ( There are these places called LIBRARIES you see? And in there they have dozens of resource books on DIY for style and home; feel free to educate yourself before you make your next "Daily Thread."

  • I miss the sewing projects, miss Rob and Corine :'(

  • Ok obviously Threadbanger has someone here who's not using common sense. Don't cut anything on your lap without protection underneath, Spray paint is NOT eco friendly.. plastic is sharp as hell, so why's there nothing on the edges? That's an accident waiting to happen. Audio is STILL poor but the video quality is getting better. I give kudos for trying..but really Threadbanger COME ON!

  • i truly miss the old threadbanger. :(

  • I love it how she said "wear something you don't care about" And she looks like she's going to a job interview

  • i can see how this is 'recycling' but it's just ugly! also, what do you do with the middle parts of the bottles? you should just recycle those bottles for real. not make some ugly art that you can't recycle later anyway.

  • @chocolateturtl17 i dont normally comment on this stuff because i think most of you are just men but this is funnie...you should just recycle those bottles for real, not make some ugly art"

  • ouch... this is awful, and it is a shame that threadbanger went in a different direction...

  • I'm sorry but not only is this NOT eco friendly- it's plain ugly. You'd better off just throwing them in recycling. Plus that shit is gunna be in the landfill after you get sick of it cause it's been made into something almost impossible to recycle.

  • I think you should just recycle plastic bottles... and you get a nickle. >_>

  • @Isiena That´s the best way to recycle them otherwise you just have to put in the trash can the parts you are not using which is not eco-friendly.

  • Comment removed

  • Come on, people! Spray paint is now CFC free! Which means it's as "eco friendly" as regular low-fume house paint.

  • i'm not really sure of this...but i don't think that spray paint is eco-friendly

  • "Make sure you not wearing any clothes....... that you care about" LOL

  • Next time don't use the cutter like this!!!

    Frankly, the result is disappointing.

  • I'm sorry, but did your cameraman leave with Rob, Meg, and Corrinne? I keep watching these hopping for a spark of the old TB... Nothing yet though... :/

Spray paint? And then, what do you do with the middle part of the bottle?

  • @RinoaHatake I think so it seem like all of the new cast have to get their own camera man or be their own camera man. It's theadbanger's way of saving some money. After all the old cast got everything from a studio/ office, camera man, business trips, special guest designers etc. The new ones really got nothing but what they got on their back. They may not be the best but they tried their best and everyone just picking on them because they aren't the old threadbangers.

  • @kimmysoul So what your saying is that the host themselves are responsible for the ideas, writing, cameraman, recording, editing & everything, so when the old ones left all that left with them too? If that is the case then you cant really say everyone is picking on the new hosts. Clearly the feel for the show has changed, just as if they changed the writers on your favorite show. It wasn't just a host change. If everything else had stayed the same there would be very lil to complain about.

  • @RinoaHatake Tell threadbanger that because it's their money. You do know it's cheaper for them to hire these two girls because they don't have to pay too much compare to the old cast. You can't really ask too much when they don't have the money for it that's why they did a budget cut. The old cast don't do their own editing also they don't film themselves. Why don't you asked them to start their own channel and do it for free this time and lets see what happen. People need to get paid.

  • @RinoaHatake no more punk pop awesome style. tb just went hippie on us

  • that is very "middle school"

  • it makes me sad that they're being referred to as "the old threadbangers"

  • I'm not gonna lie, I wouldn't know these were supposed to be flowers if you hadn't told me and I definitely wouldn't want that hanging in my window. It just looks trashy. Plus... I know it's been said but I can't get over how SPRAY PAINT is supposed to be ECO FRIENDLY. This video is basically just a fail on every level.

  • that makes me wanna barf.

the old threadbangers never made me wanna barf.

    you fail.

  • This could've been pretty cool. The only real issue I had with the whole project was the fact that you used a spray can on something that was suppose to be eco-friendly....next time try a paint that doesn't put holes in the o-zone layer. Also, I feel like it needed something else to decorate it.....maybe the rest of the bottle could've been leaves to put on this?....But I'd definitely go for more useful items than a "Window hang"...that frankly might look kind of trashy. (no pun intended)

  • I really hope threadbanger doesn't turn into "expert village"...

  • recycling bottles.........SPRAY CAN?!!!

  • wo so ugly!

  • these girls are not professionals, this is not their career, and they have lives other than making videos for us. they are replacing rob & corrine but they didn't make them leave! so if you just didn't like the video, that is fine. but if you are going to complain that they do not compare, YOU DO BETTER.

  • @sugarcanelies I'm making suggestions and trying to be helpful, but I don't have a webcam. How's that? Good enough?

  • it's crap. i want the old threadbanger back

  • Comment removed

  • I love the flower idea!

  • threatbanger used to be such good quality. :/ on her own channel this wld probably be a great video, But the channel of threadbanger cant go from being super professional to amateur, thats just backward, and no bodys happy. I feel bad for the girl! There are a lot of thumbs down on this video :( i've unsubscribed and you should too; not in offense to this girl, I'm just trying to send the message to whoever's running the company that we want quality and consistency back in this show.

  • hmmm it's not even cute -_-

  • I miss Rob, Meg, and Corrinne!!!!

  • Hey threadbangers! I love the series. I was hoping if you could put up a tutorial for a middle ages dress with flowing sleeves. I am working at ren fair and need one quick and cheap. Help! lol

    love, j

  • its ugly.

  • wow this video has way more dislikes than likes... that's sad especially for someone on threabanger

  • man you guys are really harsh sometimes... I would love to see you have the balls and money to do stuff like this .... have you ever heard of change ... threadbanger has changed if you dont like it move on... you know every video theres always comments about how you guys dont like version 2.0 I think they get it already geeze

  • why not just recycle the bottles?

  • I only watched this to see how big of a fail it would be, like every other EcoFail video. You did not disappoint.

  • i miss Corrine and Rob...='(

it's not the same with her...

  • this isn't eco friendly at all...1st..if you are all about eco stuff, why would you have plastic bottles in the 1st place and spray paint....are you kidding me???..green living my ass.....

  • I wouldn't really spraypaint it, I liked it like the clear flower shape. Thanks for the little tip, I'm gonna go make one.

  • I've tried really hard to give the new TB a chance, but videos like this make it so difficult!

Also, what's happened to the viewer interaction? I miss the little inserts at the beginning where Rob and Corrine would talk about cool ideas and requests people had submitted! And reply to comments!

@SecretLifeOfABioNerd makes good videos, but why subscribe to this? Just subscribe to her personal channel!

It seems like TB have just decided that their audience isn't as important as it used to be...

  • Dear, I know you're trying your best... but previous threadbanger team set the standards way too high, and created a very tough audience... besides, being eco-friendly is way too much conscious than just repurposing... where are this bottles gointg to once we unhang them? Will they be still recyclable after spray painted? The thing with PVC bottles is that the material MUST be recycled, as all plastics are toxic when heated, even by sunlight. Your flowers ARE BEAUTIFUL, but not ecofriendly...

  • Come on guys its wasn't THAT bad, i think we need to stop being bitter about the changes going on at threadbanger

  • Kiddos (because you are all acting like kids) Do you want ideas spoon fed at you? RCM never did that. If you don't like her execution, fine. Go into your backyard, get bottles, whatever type of paint you decide on, some other deocrations and DO SOMETHING! then post it here or in the forums and SHUT UP! My god, this girl is trying her best, do you know how hard it is to make a video? Ask her! and Have you any idea the guts you need to be in front of ppl LIKE YOU? Ppl who have such HUGE egos!

  • @akissy your soooooooooooooooooooo smart...

  • @ThesunnysideofmaiM I love your sarcasm. If it wasn't sarcasm, then I'm not, I just am fed up of people sitting on their asses and having such big egos. Ppl talk as if they could do it better, but I don't see even one of them posting videos in youtube making a better tutorial. Ppl talk alot, but they almost always do nothing, and that's annoying.

  • @akissy I NEVER said i could do better, i just said that i want the real hosts to host there threadbagner show... calm down...

  • I think I would rather get my few cents back from recycling the bottle and putting it to use then have to junk hanging in my yard.

  • *sigh* I miss Rob and Corinne....

  • this is shit. and i mean that in the nicest way possible

  • wow........that sucked, 3mins...i wont get back. Feeble attempt at decor it yourself, im with kerberos623, would like some guy tutorials, and hey why not some decent videos in general....im just saying.

  • Comment removed

  • just... what...

  • Would be cute with some Xmas Lights Attached!!!!!! I would hang them pretty high too, cut plastic could be dangerous dangling like that!!!!!!

  • WHERE IS «THE REEL» THREADBANGER!!! What is this shit... -__-

  • @ThesunnysideofmaiM it's spelled real. And RCM aren't comming back.

  • @akissy *mostly like aren't comming back.

  • PLASTIC FLOWERS?!

    SERIOUSLY?!

I thought this was ThreadBanger not Barney & Friends...

  • Comment removed

  • WUT, that was so much fun! not -_____-

  • @PetitePenny lol @ trash into bigger trash

  • let's go back to the kindergarden! yay... -.-'

  • @Kittyportugall i liked it mine looks cool i added green garland

  • i don't recommend using box cutters, on a plastic bottle, on your lap...

  • @yahvinah1 i used a cutter to start off but used it on the table. it easy enough maybe just help any kids doing this

  • "Make sure that when you're using spraypaint that you're not wearing any clothes.... *grin*.... That you care about."

    Scarred4Life.

  • i got 2 made and nearly another 3 garlands made.

will post a video response soon

    thankyou!

  • @sewsweet08 I saw another video a few minutes ago of someone (else) making plastic flowers out of her plastic egg containers. She very gently melted the 'petals' with a small candle and molded it that way (before painting). It gave it a softer, better look. She merely waved the plastic in the flame, she didn't hold it there. Um.. be careful if you use fire. >.>; Plastic fumes are bad for you~

  • @001php do u have the link?

  • @sewsweet08 Sorry, I fell asleep. If you want to see what someone else does to smooth out the plastic flowers, it's the related link "How to Make Flowers Using Egg Tray" by um 'YsahsCreativeHobbies'. Hope you get this response comment. XD

Her flowers are smaller, but you could do the same thing on a bigger scale like the 2-litre bottles... But like I said, plastic fumes are dangerous, so be careful.

  • i hate to be a hater but this was fuckin stupid.

  • is she serious in what she just made?? it's like a kindergarten craft thing.

  • I don't really find this girl that interesting but bene on her outfit ;)

  • w t f

  • I like it!!

But school tommorow so no timeeeeee!

  • If it was implemented in a more intriguing way it might not look like garbage or something the white trash would decorate their trailers with.

Im seriously losing hope for this show. There's been very little interesting, unique or upcycled entries since the old staff was tossed. WTF happened?!

  • i ve start losing hopes for this show :(

  • @TheLitleVampireBat me too .. what happened to the old threadbanger?? :(

  • @CraftLover100 probably some idiots thought that it will be better to take new hosts

  • Maybe add lights, like old christmas lights and find a way to make it look alittle more elegant IDK just a thought lol but its cool!

  • tracy u kind of just suck at diy...

    points for tryin tho

  • Wow it could have looked so much better! Good idea, i guess... u could spice it up and add some bling or something else! Just sayin!

  • That looks shit!

  • before i even hit play i started laughing at the ratings lool

  • Wow, i don't usually comment on a video if i diddn't like it, and i think the girls here are doing their best but this is absolutely awful. It actually makes me want to make a better version, because i know i can. this just looks lazy and frankly, a bit crap.

  • @Jawrjuh Are you saying the quality of the tutorial is crap or the actual project is crap? I have to say, it doesn't matter how great the quality of a tutorial video is, if the project is ugly, the video is shit. This video is fine. The project however, is hideous!

  • @Jawrjuh the corkboard vid was the same too...no good backing to it so it was flimsy and she didn't even take the time to arrange them into a nice fitting pattern or anything, they were just put in randomly where ever they fit.

  • Arts and crafts for six year olds.

  • Er, spray paint is not eco-friendly, and don't use a box cutter on your lap without something to protect bare legs. I had a friend break a rock in his lap and cut open an artery.

  • @limalicious Recently I was using a box cutter to open a parcel literally wrapped in clear tape like a burrito. Yup, got a big ass gash right across my thigh at least 4 inches long and over a centimeter deep. It was horrible B[

  • A few questions...

Did you pay the extra 20 bucks or so people charge for eco-friendly nail polish?

    Is spray paint very eco-friendly?

Could you do something that doesn't end up looking so much like what it originally was?

  • This would be a fun thing to try in various permutations as string decorations for a party. I definitely wouldn't use it as regular home decor.

  • Its cool but not something EVERYONE would relate too for example...GUYS, they wouldn't relate to this.

  • ok so i applaud the effort but i have come to the conclusion that i don't have the same taste as this girl...im kind of scared to see the inside of her house based on these projects.

  • I did this in 6th grade w/o the string and the spray paint and personally i liked the plain ones better, and wtf.. "and you wanna make sure when your spray painting or any other painting to not wear clothes..... that you like."

  • @TypicalTylia MAKE SURE TO BE IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA, LIKE OUTSIDE WHILE SPRAY-PAINTING. AND DON'T WEAR CLOTHES.

S-sorry, the caps lock, sometimes that happens when I'm making points..

I think you'd be put away for 'indecent exposure' if you spray-painted nakedly... Outside.

  • Eh, it's a cute idea. Yes, it's more for kids, but it's still something unique.

  • Eco friendly tips that I can think of:

    - don't buy things with plastic bottles (bad for environment AND people)

    - - if you do, put homemade lemonade or something in them

    - - if you do, recycle them at a recycling center

    - don't use spray paint!

    End of eco.

I'd say just drop the eco attitude, or be very light in it.

I make hemp jewelry, btu for fun, not eco. I recycle clothes not for eco, but because I'm broke. Etc etc.

I'll keep watching, maybe you're listening.

  • OMG you totally shouldn't be using that cutter over your bare legs! Specially when you're making a tutorial video for other people to follow!! Seriously.

  • cute.

  • once again, really?

  • Yay finally a crafting vid, tired of clothes ones.

  • Honestly guys, I'm actually tired of reading all the negative comments even if i agree with them. However, if you guys REALLY find this hard to watch, or it irritates you then SERIOUSLY, MAKE. YOUR. OWN. VIDEOS. Then you'll know that its not as easy as you think.

  • i thought this was a good idea =] maybe using regular acrylic paint instead of spray paint, which is harmful to the ozone?

  • @xtinaofficial i just made some and acrylic paint worked fine

  • pretty stuff

  • OMG no I learned how to make these when I was 8....come on!! This is version is very poorly done as well, the end result looks.... tacky

Sorry threadbanger but I'm not impressed

  • this was a good idea until I saw the ending result...sometimes you need to be just as green but a little bit more imaginative...the girl is pretty tho and thumbs up to being green.

  • i loved this. my sons class is making some simple hanging windchimes. only 6yo so these would be perfect. i also thought you could use the centre section if you cut it in a spiral and trim end and h ole punch top to look like a garland or branch between the flowers.

    thanks for showing us!

  • @sewsweet08 thaaaaanks!!!

It'll be a great idea to teach kids at my art lesson ^^

  • So, what happens to the middle section?

  • The camera person always zooms into her face way too much

  • yay!! this is so cool!! also f u the people who are mean to her. you dont HAVE to watch if you dont like her style. and all of you who commented meanly on the necklace tut, look how pretty the necklace is on her now. and REMEMBER how easy it was to make.

  • can u put christmas lites in those?

  • oh i just noticed at the end of the video that you were wearing that recycled t-shirt scarf thing.

    the flowers are cool too.

  • First impression: Are you seriously teaching people (including kids no doubt) to use a scalpel on a plastic bottle on their BARE LEGS?!Hardly a habit to teach even the most skilled viewer with the steadiest hand. "Be very careful when you cut this" is an insufficient warning; try to lead by example instead.

Second impression: The inane grinning is limited, replaced with many gratuitous almost-upskirt shots. "Make sure you are not wearing clothes [long pause] that you care about".RIP Threadbanger

  • hey ! i love your tutorials and I was wondering if you would make a garrison cap also known as the wedge cap. I've been dyeing to make one !!!!!

  • Isn't spray paint bad for the environment?

  • @yasharox Thats what I thought...

  • @yasharox that's what i said.

  • kinda koo

    its aight :)

  • Well most sprays now-a-days have no CFC's, which are the main component in ozone depletion, i believe.

  • can you please make videos like diy clothing? Something like when secretlifeofabionerd made a romper out of an ugly good will dress. I'm sorry but this is like an arts&crafts for little kids.

  • This is called "Eco-curious" to to greener crafts, yet this video is a contradiction. She is using spray paint, and well yeah that's bad for our ozone layer. Many people might not agree to this but its like WTF.

  • Don't get me wrong I love this it's just I miss the old threadbanger..what happens to that?

  • @xXxpOiZuNcUpCaKexXx they retired its new people now who are doing their best

  • i don't even bother watching these anymore. i save them for my 7yr old niece. which can do most of this stuff. channel has gone to crap sing the others left.
