  • Bobby Womack played Rhythm guitar on this song, what a wonderful tune!!

  • this is great !!!! I see a couple clips of Patty Duke's movie " Billie"

What other clips did you put in this

  • sooooo mod!

  • Sam the man...!!!

  • I think this was the last song Sam studio recorded before his death...

  • I take it Sam didn't live long enough to sing it on TV or do a promotional clip (what we later called music video).

  • What three idiots didn't like this??

  • @koolkatvintage1960 Moe, Larry, and Curly.

  • Loving the Blues Brothers moments

  • THE GAME SHAKE RULES

  • @santiago4433 Definitely! Game did a great job with this sample!

  • SHAKE !!!!

  • Sam saw a change in music in 1964...it's what inspired this song...where the beat would take over the lyrics in dictating the song...is that not how it is today?!?!? Everyone is focused on the beat primarily, and the lyric secondary... especially in "black" music...this guy was so visionary, sometimes it makes me "tremble" (ode to his Soul Stirrer days..Nearer to Thee) because of his death...what he would've been, and accomplished, had he lived past 33...

  • Just heard this playing in a shop in London and had to look it up.

So brilliantly Sixties, and very catchy!

Great video clips too...impossible not to cheer up watching this.

  • magnificent video

  • is that young Tina Turner you threw in the background? if it is, what a perfect fit! I've heard her and Ikettes do this song, they did an incredible cover.

  • The Supremes did this as well, as a tribute, and it's almost as good. But this original is probably the best...

  • @shmuli9 It was until Otis Redding caught hold of it . . .
