Ok. I'm going to call it as I see it.I can appreiciate that she has matured and doesnt want to be type-cast, and wants to try new things; but even though she's ok here, I dont like it. God granted her an awesome, beautiful voice that few in the world are able to match, and because of which she bears a responsiblity to protect it. Pop singers are a dime a dozen, and here she sounds no different from all the rest.This is ruining her voice. Soon it will be said: Remember how she used to sing?

I remember Charlotte way back when she was wowing people with a semi-operatic style. Nowadays people want to throw crap at her for wanting to branch out. I LOVE how she takes on so many genres with different singers on her show and usually does a damn fine job. Bless Charlotte-- and this song with Fergie is another example of daring on Charlotte's part and one of the only shows I know where these duets allow a famous singer guest star to try something different from what they are known for!

I think you're right. It's a field with a lot of very talented people in it- and her first album was so phenomenal, she was immediately placed in the public eye as something that she really wasn't. She can sing Pie Jesu like no one else, but not coloratura. She has no strength or breath support, and was always expected to blow everyone away, but after the first album, she just tried to do stuff that was too big too quick. Oh well... I just wish she hadn't gone trashy.

She tried to cross over from Opera to make a change for herself, can't blame her for doing that seeing as though she was a cash mule for everyone for 10 years...
