I was gonna get one of these till I saw all the reviews that say these only last 6 to 18 months. Also even if you buy the k cups in bulk at sams they still come out to 50 cents a piece. That's just to damn expensive for coffee at home.

@littleisrael Hey littleisrael, Keurig specialist David here, if you have one of the home model brewers(one designed for home use, not office use) then odds are you cannot drain the internal heating tank. The only home brewers that can do that are the MINI B30 and MINI-PLUS B31 brewers.

hey when i use the my k-cup it will brew for about 5 seconds greatly but then it will start leaking through wholes that arent the ones that it usually does and then when its done my cup of coffee will have beans it it? any help

We ordered one from QVC for $140 and it was the platinum model with 48 K-cups, the My K-cup, and a mail-in offer for 48 free K-cups. It has yet to arrive in the mail.

For the best coffee at home you need to try the Aerobie AeroPress, simple cheap and portable.  No need to spend money on expensive machines.

I was wondering if you happen to know whats going on with my machine I seen you other troubleshooting video and you do a great job explaining. My brewer works sometimes and other times only brews a few drops.  I'm having a real hard time finding an answer

There are 2 needles on your brewer, an inlet needle and exit needle. Due to some packaging errors, coffee grounds can get past the filter and lodge in either needle. Take a paper clip and run it through both needles. Then run a purge cycle (just water). That should work.

I find the Breville 700XL is way better investment for a daily use machine. It's the Cadillac of k cup brewers this one is a good one for the cottage though.

Good Review. Obviously we are all coffee drinkers but is the quality as good as a french press? I have an electric tea kettle and press both costing no more than 40 bucks vs 150. So I'd like to know what the difference in taste is.

Carlos, great review. I was sitting on the fence for a while and after watching your review went out to BBB and picked one up today. The B70 is great. Used the 20% off and got it for $135.

They must have changed the pumps in the unit, because it's a lot quieter than it sounds in your video. The new pump hums like a fish tank air pump and is super quiet.

I made a quick cup of coffee and it's great. Thanks for the review. Good stuff.

I agree with belavet. In this day and age, using this much packaging is pretty disgusting, if not downright criminal. A filter is a fraction of the material of one of these cups. Several companies offer coffee filters made from post-consumer recycled paper.

Better yet, use a French press -- no paper and makes a better cup of coffee than drip any day.

scottallentvh, I'm with not sure why so many people gave you thumbs down but I'll also stick to my French press. I admit that Keurig machines are convenient if you just want one cup but they require too much packaging and waste that the damage outweighs the convenience. You can make just one cup of coffee w/ a press and have freshly ground beans, though yes, you'll have to boil the water. I got my press for $12. I think that's worth boiling water against a $150 machine that creates trash.

I have one. Mine is terrible. I put the K-Cup in, I start it, and when the coffee comes out, the coffee goes everywhere, and there are alot of grounds in the cup. If anyone knows what to do, and they're SERIOUS, please help me out.

How long have you had it? Depending if it is under warranty, you can call Keurig and generally they're happy to help you.

I've got one of the 1st ones. It was a gift from the CMA awards gift room. Our band all got one. I actually have mine on a little table upstairs in my bedroom so I can enjoy coffee 1st thing and don't have to go downstairs. Kind of like hotel suites we see while traveling. Talk about lazy. Target has the best supply of the K-cups that I've found. So far i have bought 3 machines for family, the Keurig rocks.

I just picked up the Keurig Elite model at Target, same model as this but doesn't have the lcd screen, just buttons for $99 and it included a $10 gift card. Included the 18 Kcup pack but no reuseable filter insert.
