  • [Insert generic comment attacking EA here]

  • What's an EA? What's this C&C 4 you are talking about? You must al be posting the future, bcause everyone knows Tiberian Sun is the last game in the series. Know shut up and enjoy the music ;)

  • Only thing what I want for RTS today is the startegy. Anyone remembers those missions from the original C&C where you had limited units/money? I liked those missions the most.

  • CnC tiberian dawn to red alert 2 are REAL command and conquers, the new ones can kiss my ass... CnC tiberian dawn: music is just made for strategy war game, easy side bar, easy commands, simple (no stupid limitation like: command points), THIS IS JUST THE BEST!

  • This is the best CnC music EVER!!!

  • the bass line is outrageous... shakes the whole house

  • 1:50 - 2:15

  • I heard a james bond in my base

  • the nod mods (in game ) now reminds me of the TRON-lightunners :P

  • I miss the days of CnC Westwood style hearing this stuff really brings it back... also TY EA for handing the Renegade servers to some pushovers and now it SUCKS! O.O

  • ohhh my god.... This song has been burned into my head for 7 years now...

Hearing it again gives me the chills.

  • Wow where did that picture of the Recon Bike come from???

  • On the Prowl is my favorite C&C Tibeian Dawn music, I play it all the time on DTA

  • Back in the days when fantasy was unlimited and everything was new!

  • *sigh* its such a shame that no other company can hold a candle to Westwood. Valve has some interesting stuff, but they are unreliable and kinda clumsy. Id software although made some quality stuff in the past, kinda choked a bit with Doom3, Blizzard is still milking fat kids of their parents money, Relic lost my faith with DoW2, and for the most part i see a wide lack of creativity in most game developers in general these days. Westwood impressed me at all game styles, RTS, FPS, and RPG

  • @K1NGFR0G But you gotta hand it for Blizzard, Sc2 had a great story and a great Editor.. They lay time on their games, and make them balanced..

  • @Rufulz1 I cannot figure out the editor for the life of me, but if its anything like Warcraft 3, I'll take your word on awesome. Yes Starcraft2 is good, but not GREAT like C&C. (Maybe I'm being nastolgic, but oh well.) Good tune from Frank!

  • @Kelkuza Yeah, if you ever played C&C at it's golden age, there is not much nowadays that can beat it (im a nostalgia fan too :3)

  • Holy shiiiiii... what an epic tune! That's what also made C&C so unique - Frank Klepacki, the music god!

  • svwillmer the only game company i know of that made a game with such skill as this is DICE when they made Battlefield 1942.

  • @woozleification battlefield 2142 was beast because it is made such skill.

  • I always thought NOD attack bikes have enclosed cockpits, isn't the guy in the picture too exposed?

  • Maybe it is able to close itself? ...

  • RIP C&C Westwood / Frank Klepacki is a great man and utterly Kane too ! ( Joe Kucan )

  • EA games is practically Josef Stalin's successor, first they got rid of westwood because renegade "didnt score as good as they wanted it too" Now they have gotten rid of pandemic studios, and after CNC4 comes out they are getting rid of EALA ea games is acting like stalin during his "purges"

  • @woozleification FUCK EA

  • anyone have $600 laying around for an attack bike?

  • I'd love a Nod Buggy. Who cares if it's damn weak, it's stylish! XD

And Mr. Klepacki is a genius with these soundtracks, no doubts about it.

  • I miss the days when games had variety, when the makers actually cared about their products. Music is the same way. Back in the 80s and 90s, there was variety, there was quality. Everything post-20th century is shit.

  • @cytosine1 I dunno, in terms of video game miusic the producers aren't turning anything good out, but in terms of actual music from various artists and such, I still find some nice new songs here and there. Not many, but a few.

  • That's how the business world functions these days...few gaming companies care about quality now. There's still a few but they're rare, it seems.

  • Indeed, there's one formula that proves successful and they'll milk it until it's dry. Then the other success formula comes along. No more creativity.

  • Hear hear!!!!

  • *Nod biker facial expression*

  • that picture is creepy

  • Lol Tibirium at the graves in teh background :P

  • I fucking miss playing these games when they were in their prime, aka when they first came out.

  • NOD can't build MLRS even with cheats :P

  • If only game makers today has the skill and passion in making their games.... Infinity ward has with COD4 but thats about it... Westwood really went all out and really cared about their games especially this one.. Even today I play this, one of my top 5 games along side outrun and sonic... modern games and makers like EA can kiss my ass because there not making anything new... its the same stuff over and over again... THIS is original... frank bless you man

  • @SVWillmer

you'Re right, the old games r realy the best.. i play starcraft again and again and i think i play soul reaver the 7th time xD just love it

  • Which Soul Reaver? The Original for the Playstation? Cause I am STILL trying to bea that game...gawd it is amazingly difficult! But fun....addicting would be a better word...

  • @SVWillmer

Petroglyph, Relic and Blizzard are good.

  • @SVWillmer agreed but Valve is another one that comes to mind.....always made good games only issue is they take there sweeeet ass time about it and get side tracked as of late with random shit like.......portal 2 as much as i like it.....been waiting for anything on an HL2:EP3 for 4/5 years now........its almost as long as it them to make HL2 lol

  • @brokenhalo2001

Oh yeah! You are so right, Valve are awesome, portal was such fun and so different, as with HL2. I'm still waiting for Ep 3 too man...

  • @SVWillmer well right now i have Dawn of War 2 to keep me happy and with the aide of dow2live.coooom.....^.^

  • @SVWillmer What keeps me satisfied is how much effort was put into making the first few C&C games and their soundtracks. good shit

  • @SVWillmer Well C&C4 was "anything new" but it was terrible.

  • @SVWillmer COD4 was a bad example for that, and I assume you've never played half-life? Today the only companies that to my knowledge still put any real effort into their games are Valve, Petroglyph, and Harmonics (or the people that made rockband), and i guess Mojang counts now that they are licensed. Dont get me wrong, COD4 was an okay game, but compared to everything else it is mediocre. With the game developement decay the same goes for sound tracks. This IS the epitomy of music right here.

  • @Dallows65 Don't forget Bethesda, and Irrational is still kicking it, Looking Glass style. There's still lot's of great designers and games, but the industry is HUGE now. Just 'cause there's more bullshit doesn't mean there's less gems.

  • @Metamusik Bethesda is decent, but I really miss the storywriting, and characters from games like Baldur's Gate, Knights of the old Republic or Planescape; Torment. Or it's music (or soundtracks like from Might and Magic 6 and 7, and HoMM untill part 3). While there are some studios out there that are doing their best, I really feel character and plot writing/development, and game music, have peaked during the nineties and never came close anymore. But that's my personal taste speaking.

  • @rachskald I hear you. But everything looks better from the vantage point of history. I don't miss games like Conquest Earth, and neither does anybody else because nobody remembers it. I remember it because I bought it and it was a broken piece of shit. Compared to games like that, contemporary games rule. You can't expect every game to live up to the hallmarks of an entire decade of game-design.

  • @Metamusik That being said, it's obvious to me that since games have a much wider audience today, the tendency to emphasize a lowest common denominator really hurts the games themselves. I think we're going to see a similar situation like in cinema, where we have huge box-office hits that are basically BS sold to the masses and more Art House games pushing the envelope for people who actually care.

  • @SVWillmer actually from what i heard almost all westwood games lacked proper play testing and were rushed, resulting in yuri's revenge and the firestorm expansion...

  • @matrixmairo Original Westwood games were checked and tested thoroughly,I have never run across a glitch in the og westwood games before EA. Firestorm was meh, but Yuris revenge was fun to play in multiplayer. EA then took over and did their thing, ruining the games, making them toooo movie like. Take c&C 3 for instance, not bad but too movie like. Its only a game.

  • @SVWillmer come on now, Westwood was slipping even before EA took over. TS was terribly unbalanced and had annoying assholes playing the Commander. It kinda sucked, and it went up against Starcraft. Let me repeat that: The competition at the time was Starcraft. Westwood died right then and there, RA2 was a good game but the mood was gone. It was all camp comedy, no edge left.

  • @Metamusik Tiberian Sun and RA2 were peddled by EA, look at when Westwood was taken over. TS was rushed and EA ran RA2 you can tell how similar the cutscenes are to Tib Wars etc, too cinematic.

  • @SVWillmer Point taken, but I seriously don't get why you consider them "too cinematic". C&C was always cinematic. It was a major selling-point. The entire linage even comes from a film license: Dune. The problem is rather that amateur acting by a bunch of dedicated dudes on a tight budget is fun to watch; while amateurish acting coming from a bunch of celebrity actors is pure torture. I don't want Thulsa Doom or a Cylon in my cut-scenes; I want Kane and Stalin.

  • @SVWillmer EA's sole practice is taking games from good companies and turning them to crap. The only good games EA puts out is games outsourced to other companies and not touched by them.

  • Still the best game i have ever played. Iv got a £2000 PC and I still play it even now it seems state of the art in its ideas, and I love the FMV briefings so glad they bought it back for C&C3 and Red Alert 3. Was gutted when they didnt for generals.

And the music, like this one for example is unbeaten in any game even the newer C&C games! I love it, all time favorite game. i can see myself still playing it 30 years from now just as long as windows 40 will run it haha

  • this could of been the tiberium mutants theme.

  • One stealth tank please!

I love the baseline in this song... :)

  • How does this thing turn :S

  • the back weel turns

  • ill pay anything to get a sweet nod attack bike xD

  • @joebadams4

i agree, a bit modernized though, but in the same Nod spirit. and you drive it in Tiberian Sun Nod gear with HUD in the helmet. awesomeness

  • it's a good bass test track :P

  • I want one of those bikes :(

  • and i want a mammoth tank! so what? :D

  • id rather get the bike, you cant drive a mammoth tank by yourself :D

  • If someone else would drive it, I would use the gun on a mammoth tank =)

  • this reminds me of criss angel for some reason

  • its the track on the end of a misson right

    so long time aggooo

    it was 1995 good memories

  • excellent track! One of my favourites.

Very simple and melodic at the same time. Great bass.

This, Radio/Radio2, Voice Rythm, Hell March, Fogger, Face to the enemy, Scouting, Approach - just give an idea of how many sides Frank K's talent has.

  • so..looking at the graveyards. when you die, tiberium will burst out of your body

  • fubacku

    dude westwood invented the games

at 96 they could not make godly graphics

    like today!!!

belive me if now it was year 1996 we all wear having a party with this song

  • Notice the tiberium crystals growing in the graveyard in the background. Tiberium feeds on nutrients in the soil and... well, you get the idea...

  • I dont know why but for some reason does the music sounds a bit like it is from a old game like James bond golden eye on nintendo not sure why

  • it is from that epoque

  • Wow, I haven't seen this image before. Just about all the other images in the videos are the usual promotional renderings you could download of Westwood's website, but this one wasn't among them as far as I can remember.

  • how/where can idownlaod it and how is this song called

  • the name of the song is "On the Prowl", and it was composed by Frank Klepacki.

Since the game is available for free nowadays you shouldn't have any trouble finding it.

  • dude its in the title on the prowl

  • brings back memories

  • Always reminds me of Aliens when I listen to it.

  • love this tune man been looking 4 it 4 years and hear yea
