EasyCap DC60 Mac Setup TUT and Settings

Hey guys, who ever getting the black screen when you plug your PS3, I found a solution.

Previously if you used an HDTV with HDMI, you PS3 will be set to HDMI mode, which means if you use the RCA cables on easycap, it wont work.

Hold down your PS3 power botton for about 10 sec and it should reset to RCA cables instead of HDMI. It took me 5 hours to figure this out and felt stupid when I did lol

the thing is if u using u ps3 on u hdmi cable u will need restart the ps3 holding the power button , so the video conf comeback on the lowest possible !

hey, I have an easycap which is working with S-video...whenever I record my gameplay, the source dimensions is 720 x 405...How can I change the actual source dimensions to 720x480 without actually doing any editing to stretch hte video to 480...I want the original video to record in 480 which easycap is capable of. Any help appreciated! thanks.

to make matters worse, whenever I upload it to youtube, it downgrades it to 360p and video looks like crap...

Ok some of you are having a problem that i posted 4 months ago ok well i never found out how to get it to work for mac but i did get it to work on windows and all i can say is dont waste your time on this the captureing lags and very bad quality the easycap is cheap for a reason if you really want to make it good you can also connect your xbox to your laptop/monitor via hd cables or buy a capture card just search around on youtube and you will find some helpful tutorials.Hope i helped. Ppl.. Of course this will force you to use the monitor as the screen for your console.. Unless you have a video splitter.. The purpose of this is so you can record gameplay and put it on YouTube.. I use it to convert old VHS tapes to DVD.. Anything with RCA or svideo will show up on your computer.. And YES if you are a Mac user, you need the audio splitter.. Ppl ask such dumb questions

@TehFoxzz I believe the Dc60 and Dc60+ work equally on a mac. I believe the programs most effective would be iMovie HD and Pinnacle Studio (mac version)

@TehFoxzz Hey friend, and no problem. I would like to add to this to help you. Dc60 works on iMovie HD, the Easy Cap Viewer and Pinnacle studio . Dc60+ works on iMovie HD and Pinnacle studio. But there are a lot and a lot of programs out there that capture the video :)

@TehFoxzz That's where they're trying to trick you. I have a mac too. USB 2.0 means nothing, USB is USB. I use a combination of Pinnacle, iMovie HD and EasyCap Viewer. The product was just intended for Windows XP/7/vista but can be used on mac :)

so i got mine yesterday and it worked fine yesterday. but today for some reason it made random loud sounds when the program was on if i clicked something. i still need to get the sound working, i have a seperate cable but dont have speakers that allow me to plug in the splitter thing and my imac settings are a bit different, used LineIn for mac but the sound is weird.

if you can't find the option to switch your output to input on your mac it means one of two things, 1. your mac doesnt support using the port as an input (macbook air). or 2. your mac has an actual dedicated line input port AND a headphone port. use the line in port for capturing audio.
