I hve an umbrella parrot. I would put him on a stand in front of 2 mirrors. He would puff all up/wings stretched & hiss at himself why swaying back/forth. I could take a bath 4 an hr while he was on his perch having fun. He loved looking at himself.

It's really cute. My baby does this too, but remember it's very important not to do it too much, because it makes them mean with too much repetition. Once in a while is funny for us, confusing for them for a minute or so, then it becomes frustrating, and will make this automatically act mean toward other animals and your hand, if your hand is in the mirror with him. Confusion in an animal that intelligent is not a good thing, so get a laugh, then take him away from the mirror.

Really cute... I've been a Sun Mom for 13 years... they are funny little characters... so inquisitive! ... My oldest, Phoenix (not the one on video here) was very affectionate with himself in the mirror... but he despised the camera unless we were going for a ride in the car. @iplayguitarido humans and apes are actually the only species that are able to understand that they look at themselves, when they look into the mirror. most animals just ignore it, but some dont, like your parrot :D
