thats a very nice layout, and from the looks of it a very organized operation too. currently im trying to get my club to do opperating session to, what would you recomend?
This video was shot using a Sony Z1U HDV video camera. The video was shot at 1440 x 1080 / 60i straight to disk as m2t so no tape was involved.
It was edited in Sony Vegas 8 Pro and rendered to 1 mbps .wmv format and uploaded to YouTube.
The layout was open for tour in the 1994 NMRA National in Portland, OR, and has also been open for tour at the National Narrow Gauge conventions when they have been in Portland, and at the PNR convention when it was in Portland in 2006.
i'm with the Golden Isle Model RR club in Brunswick, Ga. and we usually have op sessions once a month or more. Op Sessions are just too damn fun.

People do like ops videos on YouTube.
What type of camcorder do you use?
What editing software do you use?
What type of video file do you upload to YouTube?
Your use of a tripod sure sets this apart from the many amateur videos posted (including some of my old ones)!
Was this layout open at the 20004 NMRA National?

Great stuff. How about following a local freight with pickups and setouts? How about a yard switcher making up a train?
