My granddad used to listen to Clower, and introduced me to his comedy. One of the greatest memories I have of him is going to see Jerry Clower at the Florida State Fair a year or so before both passed away. Miss you, Granddad.

Jerry Clower and Jerry Reed were both men of southern taste. Not everybody appriciates or can relate to their humor. Clowers sense of humor was obviously based on his own Christian upbringing. Admirable when you consider that most comedians of today can rarely do any part of their act without saying a swear word or making a sexual, violent, or biggoted reference. Unfortunately the ones that do don't get much live or recorded air time. God bless them both. I still love listening to Clower on XM.

The Pride of East Fork, MS and Yazoo City, MS. I met Jerry and had my picture taken with him when they opened the Jerry Clower exhibit at the Triangle Cultural Center in Yazoo City. When a press member asked for a picture, Jerry said, "With me by myself or this young fellow right here"?, meaning me. Emy Bullard took my pic with Jerry. I hate it that both Jerry and Emy are no longer with us, but I'm glad they're with the Lord.

Jerry Clower was one of my Dad's favorites. He could make a coonskin cap laugh. As for Jerry Reed, I was part of his road crew in South Korea and not only funny, but a singing talent as well. He has the "South Korea Crud" and kept the showing going. Both would tell true stories without vulgarity. Loved them both.
