I live in a nice condo development and would absolutely love to terrorize my neighbors with one of these. How much to get into a basic, loud and somewhat fast jet?
What i think is amazing is the real plane needs all the computer programming to fly cause the design is unstable but the R/C version doesnt need it. hmmmm
rc planes are much harder than trucks because the air has a mind of its own you always have to work with the wind instead of just driving like a truck
i just had an idea you could strap a litle camera to the pilot inside the copit so you could se what its like flying you can get realy small cameras the size of a finger nail.
I did some checking around... price wise you can actually put one together reasonably cheap considering... I mean lets be honest here... would you really spend 10k on your 1st jet powered RC? :)
I am flying a Kangaroo with a kj66 turbine at 8.2 kilos thrust now. Next summer some friends is making reinforced Byron F-16 clones for turbine use. I have ordered one:)
Oh how I miss doing this, the last plane I had before I gave it up was a P-39 Airacobra with a .60 and it was very good at ribbon cutting competition. I will get back into it one day. You have a nice plane here! Looks like the test plane when they first introduced the F-16 into service.
Philippine Navy has been patrolling the waters off Tawi-Tawi near North Borneo Sabah to secure a foreign consortium (new zealand-usa-uk) currently conducting oil exploration in Taganak, south of mainland Tawi-Tawi, a Navy official said Monday
You're assuming it's either/or! The guy who flies this one, as well as a number of other fellas in this group, is an airline pilot. Some of the members are older pilots who have lost their medical certificates due to health problems. This is a fun alternative for them.
It ended up not being a big deal. The paint was slightly scraped under one wing, but the same jet went up minutes later. The second flight (the one that I didn't tape) ended with a beautiful landing. Go figure.
I've seen a jet-powered RC on display at a show in a mall but I don't know anybody who actually owns one. Since these things fly very fast how would you know that you're already flying a bit far enough for you to control the plane? Is their some kind of indicator at your control box that tells you that you need to turn back? Thanks. I enjoyed the video.
i agree with jay sahota with everything they said. its just that the land was very off and yes, dont forget ur flaps. i perfer you to bring down the flaps at about 3 knoches
That's all well and good, but I didn't have anything to do with the flying, was just at the field taking vids. For what those jets cost, you'd think they'd be a little gentler on the landings!

i know its a bad landing.
pinoy032 3 years ago
Weah, it's not the best landing, but the best landing you could ever do is hitting the ground hard, fast and in a nose-dive!
sheldonholy 3 years ago
Would that be tricky to control? Or jsut as simple as a RC truck?

On start-up the decals are there, On take-off the decals are gone, then on landing there back. Very nice looking bird.

Quite possible even more, all my gear and the P-39 I owned was a total of about $3000. It takes time unless your have enough money.

Great stuff, makes me wonder how the thrust to weight is compared to a real F-16 and also its actual speed.

Not having the medical anymore makes sense. Still a lot of money, but R/C airplanes are a great hobby. Have fun.

Can anyone explain why you would spend $20,000 or more on a R/C jet when you could learn to fly A REAL airplane for $10,000???

That was really nice. Good control even at the high speed of jet engine. Need more flaps for landing or spread the lading gears more further apart.
