  • It's truly amazing tutorial explaining these interactions in a really understandable way! I have been looking for tutorials on interactive map that when mouse is on the state, certain information displays, many suggested me writing script, but a newbie like me, I found this is the best solution!

  • when i double click my button, i dont get those 4 frames

  • Bad video quality...!!!

  • rob, you've got a voice for radio my friend.

  • thank you for this clear, concise tutorial! Your rock!

  • @1sophistakated  I really appreciate that!

  • When i make this tutorial, it works inside the program but how come when i export it or test the movie it does nothing?!

  • Thanks for your tutorial. Is it possible to enter multiple actions depending on which part of the image the user rolls over?

  • A Great Site for getting followers on twitter. check it here : G o t F o l l o w e r s O n T w i t t e r . c o m

  • Hi.

    Great tutorial but I have a question. How would i go at keeping the text displaying even though i took my cursor off the picture? The only way it will change is when it rolls over another picture.

    THanks again.

  • Thanks, still works in 2010.

  • Rob, Thanks for the beautiful video presentation with precise information. Looking forward to more good tutorials from you. Thank you very much.

  • Fantastic strait forward video.

    Thank you

  • VERY helpful! thanks a ton!

  • how do i make it so when i click it goes to a difrent frame?

  • that involves actionscript.

    "_root.gotoAndPlay([frame number])" would be what you want to put.

  • The complete code would be:

    on (release) {  _root.gotoAndPlay([frame number]);

    }

  • Thank you sooo much for this tut! I've been looking for something like this and all other tutorials are not easy to understand like this one. This really simplified things. :D Thanks again!

  • Please, more tutorials...

    For example:

    >how to create a circle that is constantly changing color

    >how to create a simple game

  • check out his tut on randomizers, then you can just use the code (on the circle MC)

    onClipEvent(enterFrame){

    this._currentframe = Math.floor(Math.random() * (# of frames in the MC, not in ()'s btw) + 1);

    }

    hope that helped :)

  • @Diifusal

    check out my video how to repeat frames on adobe flash cs4

  • Thank you so much! (:

  • Amazing tutorial!!! I used to be scared of even opening Flash but now I feel much more confident! THANK YOU!!!

  • Thanks Rob,5 stars for sure! I'm a novice and this cleared up a lot of questions that I had. Thanks again

  • Best tutorial out there 5 stars

  • Sounds easy enough. Good explanation

  • Instead of text can you have a video pop up that will play automatically?

    So when you rollover your

    button the video will just pop up and play on it's own.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    links to tuts or a short explanation.

    Thnx in advance.

  • im sure you can... if you look at how to play a flv video, you might be able to link it.. i dont know how though :S

  • I learned this for 2 years in highschool, but it all left me as i did. Thanks so much for refreshing my memory!

  • I have a question.

    see, i am working on this button with an animation. If you scroll over the button, a text bubble apears. Now my problem is that that i would like to add some buttons to that bubble.

    But if move my arrow away from the first button, the text bublle disappears. i would really like to know what i should do to let the text bublle stay even when i move my arrow away from the first button.

    thank you in advance

  • I wanted to know that too!

  • Ill post a tut...

  • thank you :)

  • ok gimmie like a day.

  • what about rollvver music...?

  • How do you create multiple Rollover buttons in 1 file?

  • WOW. Nice tutorial Thanks a Lot!.

  • Hey Rob is there any way you could help me with a quick question? How would I, instead of having a button rollover to show a single change, I want it to instead play a small swf video and link to a web page at once. Can you give me any help?

  • Your lessons are great! I really learned a lot from you! Thank you.
