actually you can use electric on the plants, then they turn blue then use fire again

I think thunder damages the red piranhas and fire damages the blue piranhas

so hand techniques are quite useful

No worries, English is my second language.

You have to find 2 orbs that you need the thunderhand for. From the beantown, move to the right and wander around to see if you can find the 2 orbs. Once you thunderhand it, you need to follow the pathway to get your upgrade.

Also, if i recall right, the second upgrade is the same area where you got it. So you back track to them.

if the piranhas are red you can hurt them with thunderbrand. if theyre blue you can hurt them with firebrand. (critical hits!!)

That's why I dub them useless on that fight. I can do more damage than the critical hits you know.

weird. whenever i use chopper bros, it only hits once. maybe i miss a button or something...

Maybe you are using level 1 chopper bros which slows everything down. You can only hit up to 3-4 on level 1 but in your case, you didn't want to push the button the second time on the A. So the order is A -> B -> Ax3

Haha.. sure why not. Its a great way to kill stuff. If I were you, restart your game (The start, I know its a pain to go through all that..) but maybe you can flip things around. Okay, start off as Mario with POW all the way until you beat the game. Luigi is with DEF all the way too. That way if Mario dies, Luigi is a tank so he can revive at all cost. That is what mainly I did.

Mario = RED = POW

Luigi = GREEN = DEF
