@MegaBrazil1000 The idea is that a criminal is detered when there is a chance of dying. Would you bust into a house where a man is trained to use a firearm and owns one when you know that if you go to a hospital you will get throw into prison for 10 to 15 years? Its a chance that most criminals will not take. Now if any law abiding citizen could own a gun would you rob a house when there is a chance of being shot? That's the theroy. And its worked in a number of cities and countries.
One of the main reasons for having the right to guns is to keep us safe from the govt. The funny thing is, the government keep tabs on every one that owns a gun and especially those who have "special" guns. The govt. also has bigger guns, therefore if the they seek more power in a hostile manner, they would simply use their bigger guns to eliminate people that have "special" guns and end the whole conflict within a week ultimately getting more power :)
@elderCactus Your perception of armed conflict is very two dimensional and misconceived. War is about deception and exploiting your advantages, not who has the bigger gun. All throughout history, guerilla fighters have waged successful campaigns against much better armed, trained, and equipped military forces. For example, during the Soviet Afghan War, Soviet soldiers suffered substantial losses to Mujahadeen tribesmen armed only with old Lee Enfield rifles. The Mujahadeen are skilled marksmen.
@MCMXIautomatic But thats in reference to one faction against another (sorta). I am talking about situations more related to Tiananmen square, Stalin's oppression, and recent events in Bahrain that consist of authority abusing its power via "Gun Control." You're right tho when it comes to war in general, but I am specifically singling out the current state of power that the U.S. Govt. has, not only with weapons but in tax regulations n' stuff...tax sucks i just thought i'd throw that out there
If not allowing law abiding people to have weapons gets rid of violence, then lets disarm the police and military. Yes sir, I'm sure that would really work good. NOT. Lets face it, the bad guys don't want the good guys to be able to defend themselves.

me my wife and 2yr old twins left the mall at 3pm at 4pm 2 women were robbed at gunpoint in the same parking lot. next day in our local walmart a town of less than 11,000 a man takes a pellet gun from the shelf and holds a clerk hostage and gets on the intercom anouncing he will shoot anyone who call police. the pellet gun looked real enough.

yup you guys have it bad too.....hopefully the supreme court knocks Wisconsin and Illinois' carry bans down. They are supposed to take care of it during this session. If not then that would say that any state has a choice of whether or not to obey certain constitutional amendments and here in Az we already know that the 8th amendment is going right out the window....lol
there's a pretty basic weapons law in Az...if you can legally own it, then you can open carry with it. same for concealed carry, if you have a ccw permit, then you can carry any weapon you can legally own concealed
@jparish62 even if he was anti-gun to an extent (not total gun ban or something rediculous) i'd still vote for him, just to keep our chain gang going (only full time chain gang in the USA) and to keep farming for the illegals and deporting their asses...
GOD DAMNED RIGHT. I hope they overrule their bans too. Federal law overrides state law on this because the states cannot just ignore the Bill of Rights. And the tenth amendment says that only rights not specifically mentioned in the bill of rights are left at the jurisdiction of the state. gun rights are already talked about by the bill of rights so legally, states have no right to determine ANY gun related laws.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms ... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes ... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."-THOMAS JEFFERSON
Fight gun control! copy this and post on as many videos as possible. Prosecute criminals not honest gun owners. We want guns for collecting, sport shooting, and hunting.
Simply banning guns is a radical idea that would probably lead to the dismantlement of MOST laws anyway. Don't rush it, take your time. The incremental approach is working fine...douchebags!
Would you rather rob a unarmed man or a man with a gun?Do you think that if we were to ban all guns in the USA.(make it no longer lawful to own a gun)Do you truly feel that people who intend to brake the law, would chose to fallow the law when it applied to having a gun, but not in the case of robbery or worse? If you were to ban guns you may only embolden the criminals.Good people like you and I obeying the law would never have a gun to defend ourselves with. They would know.Who dose this help?
Very good point. Another point I'd like to make however is do you think all the shooters, all the gun owners in this country would give up their guns without a fight? Personally, I doubt it. Attempting to take peoples guns would be a great way to start a second american civil war.
Actually there never was a first one, by defintion a civilk war is "two factions within a single nation fight ing for control of the government." From 1860 to 1865 the were twn nations at war, Lincoln never pesonally admitted it by politically he had no choice, on parole papers from a Confederate soldier captured at the Battle of Shiloh, it said captured in the service to the Confederate States of America. But you right, outlawing guns competly, would lea to a mass revolt or even a Civil War.
Good video, however not all gun control is bad, background checks to buy a gun are good, no guns for convicted felons is a good idea. It seems that no one can find a proper middle ground its alays one extreme or the other. Im happy with gun laws here in Florida though "The Gunshine State".
Great points, it sucks that there is no middle ground. I think background checks, no guns for felons or mentally impaired and a mandatory safety class would be all the gun control you need.
You should have named sources, those would have made this video very interesting. Now I don't know whether you're just randomly saying things or whether you're right.
You could try looking it up yourself and then really knowing. I fact check anything I see on here. But this vid is pretty spot on with the myths and facts.
How do you know the right to bear arms isn't the right to have arms of a bear. i mean people skip the first part of the amendment the militia part over to guns. the National Guard is a militia, they have guns, problem solved. Do you have a militia? No, then what are you doing with guns.
Why do we have guns? To protect ourselves and our families from those that don't obey laws. You know, the "CRIMINALS". Those who don't respect our rights, lives and property?
What part of "Shall NOT be infringed." don't you understand?
Right you are there. The 2nd amendment is about the PEOPLE's right. Not the rights of a militia. oblivion is just parroting what their handler told them to. It's sad really and I pity them......not really. ;-p
"The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson
How would you know if gun control works in the US when the US has probably the weakest gun laws. Switzerland oh yeah and Japan also has low homicide rates, guess what? Gun control.
Actually Switzerland has a law that every household, where the occupants are physically and mentally able, will be issued a standard military rifle and ammunition. Japan has very high suicide rates. Also their jails are HARSH! They also hang those convicted of violent crime.
more guns = safer?????? i dont get it ..

It's reasons like this that DC, Illinois and California are some of the biggest shitholes in the country.....
jparish62 2 years ago
don't forget wisconsin (i live here, i should know). why do you think there is so much crime in milwaukee. gov doyle sucks!
mycrimsonregrets 2 years ago
yup you guys have it bad too.....hopefully the supreme court knocks Wisconsin and Illinois' carry bans down. They are supposed to take care of it during this session. If not then that would say that any state has a choice of whether or not to obey certain constitutional amendments and here in Az we already know that the 8th amendment is going right out the window....lol
jparish62 2 years ago
and here we have "open carry" in milwaukee, but chances are an officer or two will be pointing a gun at you or just harass you if you are lucky.
mycrimsonregrets 2 years ago
damn....well if you ever move to Az feel say in knowing that all police officers and sheriff's deputies support good citizens carying guns
jparish62 2 years ago
This may be a stupid question, but can one open carry a rifle in AZ? I thought that guy carrying his AR-15 was in AZ.
Riflemanm16a2 2 years ago
there's a pretty basic weapons law in Az...if you can legally own it, then you can open carry with it. same for concealed carry, if you have a ccw permit, then you can carry any weapon you can legally own concealed
jparish62 2 years ago
Sounds like a pretty damned good rule to me :)
Riflemanm16a2 2 years ago
@jparish62 Sherif Joe is the BEST!!! he WANTS us to carry, i know who i'm voteing for to run as sherif next!
mrh20082008 2 years ago
hell yeah, there's a reason he's been the sheriff since '92 here.
jparish62 2 years ago
@jparish62 even if he was anti-gun to an extent (not total gun ban or something rediculous) i'd still vote for him, just to keep our chain gang going (only full time chain gang in the USA) and to keep farming for the illegals and deporting their asses...
mrh20082008 2 years ago

We want guns for collecting, sport shooting, and hunting.

gun control means using both hands

Ban guns = make criminals and dictators safer.

They would know.Who dose this help?
jakeharte 4 years ago 4
Very good point. Another point I'd like to make however is do you think all the shooters, all the gun owners in this country would give up their guns without a fight? Personally, I doubt it. Attempting to take peoples guns would be a great way to start a second american civil war.
darkling9109 3 years ago 3

Im happy with gun laws here in Florida though "The Gunshine State".
dsr72384 4 years ago
for some reason the south dakota flags says the 'sunshine state' i think the gunshine state would be more fitting :)
tx55drexray 3 years ago 2
Great points, it sucks that there is no middle ground. I think background checks, no guns for felons or mentally impaired and a mandatory safety class would be all the gun control you need.

In Germany BEFORE the war that is true. But that directive was also carried over into all the countrys Nazi Germany overran as well.

You should have named sources, those would have made this video very interesting. Now I don't know whether you're just randomly saying things or whether you're right.

You could try looking it up yourself and then really knowing. I fact check anything I see on here. But this vid is pretty spot on with the myths and facts.

You want to save lives. Ban cars. They are projectiles that weigh over a ton and placed in the hands of sixteen year olds.

How do you know the right to bear arms isn't the right to have arms of a bear. i mean people skip the first part of the amendment the militia part over to guns. the National Guard is a militia, they have guns, problem solved. Do you have a militia? No, then what are you doing with guns.
oblivion2001 4 years ago
Why do we have guns? To protect ourselves and our families from those that don't obey laws. You know, the "CRIMINALS". Those who don't respect our rights, lives and property?
What part of "Shall NOT be infringed." don't you understand?
MIT1369 4 years ago
obviously oblivion is an idiot.
chaikaew 4 years ago
Right you are there. The 2nd amendment is about the PEOPLE's right. Not the rights of a militia. oblivion is just parroting what their handler told them to. It's sad really and I pity them......not really. ;-p

How would you know if gun control works in the US when the US has probably the weakest gun laws. Switzerland oh yeah and Japan also has low homicide rates, guess what? Gun control.
oblivion2001 4 years ago
Those countires have culturally similar, small, homogenous populations.

Actually Switzerland has a law that every household, where the occupants are physically and mentally able, will be issued a standard military rifle and ammunition. Japan has very high suicide rates. Also their jails are HARSH! They also hang those convicted of violent crime.
