  • I like this one to James, it was great to see the area you live in, and it was great when you drive through that T-storm, i gives a new dimention to it, realy great to watch.

Thanks for sent it to me, i'm always greatfull when you share video's with me like this.

    With regards.

    Pieter.

  • TYSVVVM, Pieter, for your viewing this very early-season 1/11/08-Tstorm..and love your wonderful comments... my dad had to go to the doctor's when the Tstorm CAME...so I took my camcorder along so nothing gets missed....TYSVM for the viewing of the 2/18/08-waves..((I got 2 more form 2/26/10))...incredible for the snow fall total in so many places close to home while we had only rain.... and BTW..I have saved your nice Email..i'll get to it next day or so.... sooohhh good to hear, Pieter....

  • I've just updated my user's profile on 2/2/2010 915pm EST... check out my updates!!!!

  • I'm not a global warming fanatic like Al Gore but I just wondered because of the events that have taken place in recent years.

  • Is it because of global warming that we are suddenly getting thunderstorm sin the dead of winter in new england and more of the storms seem to be ice, sleet, and rain, rather than snow?

  • Nice downpour while you were driving home James. Those clouds were moving at a ridiculous speed! Good video yet again.

  • BTW...to all viewers... please view my user=PROFILE... it was updated 5/10/08.

  • Hey thanks for your video comments on my surfing videos!

Your storm videos are very cool. it's interesting viewing the outdoors of Rhode Island from both of our perspectives :-)

  • why was there a beetle on your window?

  • Probably because of the recent mild days then, and the such labybugs had a way of seeping inside our house, congegrate in large numbers and they simply thrive despite the off-season times for insects. When I videotaped the early-season lightning, I had no idea of the ladybug being caught on video until I played it back the next day. Keep in mind..ladybugs feast on harmful insects...such as plant lice((aphids)) and scale insects...big time..!

  • Big bug at 1:35! I can't believe you've ALREADY gotten a tstorm this year! Those clouds are flying! I see you're chasing now! I've found a few spots locally where I can sit and get a better view than the house. I have found that it's possible to set a tripod in the passenger seat with two feet on the seat and one longer foot on the floor.

  • that is how i made my driving vids LOL

  • Awesome quality clip!

  • That was great James! That was some nice heavy rain you drove through. I couldn't do that around here as there is too much traffic. It looks like you live in the country there compared to here. Nice open roads and barely any stop signs and traffic lights. I really like the quality of the video. The audio is great too. Look forward to more.

  • TYSVVVM, my good Tstorm-video bud, Billy, for your sweet compliments.... and yes... it is downright ''countryside'' here compared to many parts of LINY. Love the audio((thunder, sounds, and my yappings)) as well and even my NEW camcorder, SONY TRV-138, although non-USB-able...it does have excellent audio quality. Love to add many more videos very soon:-)

  • TYSVVM, Alex :-)... So did I too..and making it for YouTube. Sorry about the ''overhead signs'' however..I can always make new such videos of overhead signs next ''Tstorm chasing videos''... or make some future adjustments with this one. BTW,..the ''pouring rain'' reminds me of your own awesome 6/11/99-Jackson MS-Tstorm video!!!

  • A ladybug in January? Did the storm wake her up? lol On the road in Rhode Island!! Man was it raining!!! I bet you didn't get your camera out of the car for a while. Nice house James!! 5*****

  • TYSVVVM, George...for the nice compliments ATL !!! We've had ladybugs in our house long before this early season Tstorm, thoh. Yes... I had to run my dad to the Dr's office....so...it was vital I took my camcorder w/ me to videotape. Pouring rain, indeed..and indeed.. nice home to live in..I had my other camcorder videoing at home-- and it videoed thunder nicely!

  • Rare for so early indeed. We had some tornadoes near us with coverage on the weather channel. I used to have a lightning detector. Do the newer ones give direction of the lightning or still just distance?

  • TYSVVM for your viewing my very early-season Tstorm video, ''momotous''.. I heard of the recent tornadoes not far from you!!! Did you do any videotaping yourself? BTW... my detector... it does detect distance...and also..tells whether the Tstorm is coming or going. It also ''beeps'' too...4 beeps..closer CGs...and down to 1 beep...CG over 20 miles away.

  • No taping, I was at work. They were about 15 miles away.

  • Good thing they didn't come close to your workplace, 'momotous''.... anyways... glad you like my video HERE and hope to make many more. BTW..I was told today, MON 1/14/08..a house was CG-ed in Pawtucket RI some 30 miles N of me from same 1/11/08-Tstorms--major electical damage done...including owner's own computers left plugged in.
