As a ride mechanic in Las Vegas I can vouch for the durability of this case. I was doing a routine inspection of the track at a height of 31.8 feet and the phone somehow worked out of the holster and fell to what I thought was its' death. Not at all. Not one scratch on the case, screen, phone itself-nothing. I watched it hit the column, column footer, hardpack dirt and then bounce onto the sidewalk. Absolute zero damage! Highly recommend the case if you work outdoors.

OtterBox Defender!! It's not as big as the ToughSkin but there's videos on YouTube of people dropping it 50 feet!! The Defender is my case to throw into my bag when I play football/basketball. So my advice is to get the OtterBox, but I never had the ToughSkin.

Its all based on preference, really. If you like plastic cases, get the defender. If you like silicon, get the toughskin. As for which one gives better protection, I would say the defender, only because it is plastic and has a built in screen protector, which is both a plus and a minus. It is a minus because it reduces sensitivity of the screen.

Also, if you want to carry your ipod around in your pocket, get the defender. It is plastic so it would slide in and out easier (more easily? idk). Also, if you were to keep the toughskin in your pocket, it would take all the lint in there out. This is only a plus if you like dirty cases and clean pockets lol. If you ask me, I would get the toughskin only because i like silicon cases a lot better.

You can also get it from toys r us but only for ipod touch. They don't sell iphone cases there. i got my speck fitted leather case at toys r us. Its an awesome case. Its soft so when i drop it it doesn't hit hard it kind of bounces. but from taking it off to dock it kind of broke a piece but it stil goes on pretty good.

i bought this case because of this video. i've had it for a few months and although it does protect your phone very well. The frame that goes on the phone before you put the case on it has broke. this case is not invicible, because of that damn little frame they added. Now without the frame its kind of loose in the case. be careful the frame part breaks easy

The case is kick ass! it is a little bulky but if you have a habit of dropping your phone then this case is great. I bought one and love it; my daughter plays with my iphone and it is well protected. you can get it on ebay for $14 and specks website sometimes has sales.

I doubt that one can get this on ebay with the clip for $14. I got mine for $26.99 shipping included and I'm very pleased with the product. Rugged protection and the belt clip serves as a dock. This actually is a very good video because the instructions are practically non-existent with the item. This is a thorough video and I apologize if I was a bit critical at first in my earlier comments.

I don't think Carlos has done this case any justice. It does provide a lot of protection, and it is bulky. But I think once you get it in your hands it is not as bad as he has projected to us. And I know to each his own, but you really she take into account that when looking at all of these reviews. I use this case with the invisibleshield and love the combination. I am not a contruction worker, I am a law student. But I do understand this case is not for everyone. I love it!

The videos are great, nice detail. I got the toughskin and am rockin' it now with a lot of head turns. Went into the mall and everyone was gathered around admiring me rockin' it. One thing I noticed was that you didn't put the case into the holster centered correctly. I lost 2 nights sleep over that one. I finally accepted it and made sure mine is centered in the holster for you, in case it bothers you.

Suggest you make your thumbs smaller to be perfect.
