  • Gotta get my McFlurry before watching this @____@

  • It's a long-established fact that Borley Rectory is haunted by the spirit of a French pig named 'Burnell'.

  • Why are the residents so angry at people for just having curiosity? Fair enough if some daft clown climbs over and starts playing stupid games then that's OTT but the vast majority of people are dedicated researchers. PLus the fact remains its still a church and not there property, If I was there and just looking round and some Toffy nosed berk started shouting his mouth off I would tell em to pee off and mind there own Buissness. If they dont like the publicity then hears an idea >> MOVE

  • @6inbox shut up have a joke and sit down. thanks

  • They bury pig bones in churchyard's over there?. .. Dang pigs have it good!

  • We saw a ghost cat on the path.

    at 13:55

    No shit !

    A cat

  • MY FAMILY WENT HERE IN SNOW CAR BROKE DOWN AND MY MUM SAW A SPIRIT OF A NUN AND A PIANO NOISE AND A MONK MY OLDER BROTHER GOT SOMETHING THROWN AT HIM IN BORLEY

  • i need to check this place out!

  • this place is defonantly haunted.

i went to borley rectory last week

me and my friends broke the pannels off and went in i was looking around the place and cudlnt find my friend for about 10 minutes.

when i finaly came out of the place been in there for about half hour

we drove home and that night i was alone and in the middle of the night i saw a priest holding a frying pan with the nun juggling oranges.

belive it or not you be the judge!

  • @dvzproductions No, on what you`ve admitted to, let`s leave that to the police!

  • @Constantine99999 what do you mean?

  • Very inaccurate. Harry Price was not a "little-known investigator" when he was called in to Borley and the rectory didn't burn down "mysteriously;" it was torched for the insurance money. The bones found in the cellar were not pig bones; they were identified by a dentist as being part of the jawbone and skull of a woman about age 30..

  • @HarryP92 Yeah, okay.

  • Professional and considerate - well done.

  • thank you for sharing I find this fascinating....on both a historical and paranormal level. Thanks again :)

  • Cheers for posting this - I first read read about Borley in the 80s,Arthur C. Clarkes 'World of Strange powers' I was 'into' the paranormal for a few years in my youth, then it was Ufology then Espionage, then backpacking.

What is the situation in Borley to date, the locals and having a quick walk around the church-would that be possible??

  • love this one thankyou.x

  • Thanks for posting: really interesting.

Marianne Foyster seems quite a character - I'd have liked to have met her.

  • @benbisley turns out she was shagging the lodger and used so called paranormal explanations to help cover her tracks

  • I'd love to go on a ghost hunt as I just cant bring myself to believe in them. All sounds completely crazy to me.

  • i was sure i watched all of your videos!! and i just came across this!! awesome!!!!

  • hey to all i have a group on face book called borley rectory please join and tell me what has happend to u wen u was there thanks BRAD

  • i have a group on face book pls join and tell me if u have been there and wots happend to u y u was there the group is called borley rectory thanks brad

  • I live 3 miles from Borley and don't go as much as I did. But I have had 2 very wierd experiences not just in the Church area but down the road as well. I was at the church one warm Summer's evening, walking around the outside of it, the air was humid, one section about 3 metres in length behind the church was bitterly cold, so much so, that if I stood still there I got goose bumps.

  • The whole area is strange, A visit to the church gives the impression of unease.

  • pretty narrow picture :D

  • the picture of the ghost nun well its not the nun nuns wore robes and had there ha=ead covered its also not a women its a man in a white shirt an cream colored pants and you can barely see buts he is wearing boots i came to this conclusion when i measured the figure with surounding trees and such it your claiming that its floating off the ground do your own measurements it would appear his legs were cut off at the knees

  • What an ugly house Borley was. Cheerio!

  • Me, My partner and a few friends are regular visitors to Borley. The area filled with orbs and unexplained noises are regular occurances. I personally have experienced many different things during my visits. The whole area has a weird atmosphere about it though so it is definately not for the faint hearted. The camera catches much more than can be seen by the naked eye. Borley is a great place for people that take this seriously to visit, but please respect the locals and the spirits.

  • shoot this video gave me the creeps. good video I believe in the paranormal due to a awful experience my brother and I had when I was 6 he was 5 we were so spook we didn't talk about til adults 30 years later, and we both are dumfounded of what our 4 eyes saw and how clearly we remember. btw none of us is psychic nor nothing along the line. God bless! new subscriber! maybe later i'll tell u what we saw.

  • Tell us tell us :)

  • Borley didn't burn down 'mysteriously' but simply because the then owner threw over an oil lamp. The haunting was an elaborate hoax mostly staged by Price, who was in dire need of a 'success', and who's personal history is riddled with fakes, hoaxes and lies. He cleverly picked up on the local legend and the stories of former, gullible and/or suggestible inhabitants of the house.

  • dylan i believe in ghosts aswelll

dont u just hatee iitt weenn pppl dont believe in ghosts nd they think its a pile of shit?

    lol

i love things to do with ghostttsss

    i defoo believvee thiisss

  • goodbye dolly grey

    The entant bothers me.

  • I once made a visit to Borley church one summers day, my frieend and I had a strange experience on the path leading to the church. We both felt like we had walked through a curtain of energy, it was really stong and our hair stood on end. This happened between the topiary trees and lasted for some minutes but on return down the path from the church there was nothing!

    Regards Pt

  • i lived 2 miles from borley and had a great interest in the borley legend.i even did a project at school on the case .even now i know of people who wil not drive through borley at night .its ashame that kids disrepect the villagers.borley will never rest in peace but i must say i ve seen the whole village on a hot summer day with a vale of mist surrounding the village.the place seems to have a presence not just the church and on the rectory site but claiming the whole village .i rest my case

  • i really enjoy watching your videos...i do believe in ghosts ,haunts and the unknown...i have had myown encounters and seen things i so can not explain ...so i really appreciate what you do ..thank you again...

  • yup..these things do exist..unfortunately,people try to be more sophisticated and tend to overlook the paranormal..but you should relate your experiences..i have had some too..

  • Fascinating stuff... I haven't seen a ghost myself but find this subject quite intriguing!

  • i saw a lot of ur ghost videos but i never see a clear ghost thing hoping you would let me see that its treu i only se often some lights but that doesnt say antyhing

  • That last EVP sounded like a howl.

  • I've not been here but have a church near me which dates to the 11th century and stands on a saxon site. Interesting EVP

  • u should see this ship in california

the queen marry in long beach california has been known for the ghousts on the ship they even got a haunting tour u can take, but no one is sure if its fake or real??? nice vids very intresting man

  • i don't believe in god, but i do believe a little in ghost and spirits, and anyway you should respect this guy in his believe and thank him for posting this vid's on youtube. By this 1 i hate the bad comments on his video's

  • I dont know why, but sometimes, watching these vids make me want to die. Puting an end to my life on earth wqould make me free of all pain and this kind of vid reminds me death is not the end...its a new begining. i love my son and i have another on the way but i do feel like they dont need me in the physical world. they have a good dad. I dont know if its hormonal but im thinking of suicide. had to say it.

  • lilmommysteff: Please don`t think that. Life is for living, death follows us all but not for many years to come. You are only 27.

We are meant to live life with all it`s up`s and downs, and for you to be there for your children. What would life be for them without you with them?

Depression is something that can be treated. How you feel is caused by your mind and not living. PLEASE SEEK HELP - IT`S THERE, AND IT`S FREE.

  • Please try and be strong. This saddens me to hear you think this way.

  • Hello, well 7 months later, im better. All because of your good words. I have found a new meaning to life here among humans. Thanks soooo very much for you have saved me. In these tough times, we recognise real friends but it sometimes takes a stranger to shake us good. Thanks again....May i call you a friend?!

  • i wish my dad was around!!!! please dont kill your self beleaave it or not your needed in this world!!!!

  • I wouldn't reccomend it, you could end up earthbound, cheer up friend things always get better, i know this because i've been there myself.

  • what kind of problems do you have

  • Go and spend a night there then.

  • Ghosts, demons, Gods etc - it's all wishful thinking. Phenomena that man has created.

  • How did you manage to get an 18 minute video on youtube?

  • That was an amazing house they never should of burnt it down, it seems the ghostly activity was already there even before the rectory was built.

  • Did you find any really ancient gravestones like "Heere lyeth ye auncient personne who dyed in the yere 1345" or is it just mostly Victorian or later, as it looked to me, Can you even find pre Stuart gravestones anywhere

  • wow. this sounds scarry. i wouldn't be caught dead there. no way. i love scarry movies and all of that type of stuff but in reality no way could i be there.

  • really i find the living to be comforting, you need to get out more hahahaha!!!

  • lol.

  • how absolutely fascinating! i cant wait to watch other videos you have posted on here and the ones to come. i have only read briefly about borley but my fascination with the paranormal continues.

  • When I was young I read about Borley. I became a teensy bit obsessed. As with jugla17 it was the thing that got me involved with haunt activity. Thanks for posting this, it was a walk down memory lane and a thrill to see the place as it is now.

  • God I was obsessed with it too as a kid, that & the Tower of London. & a few other places I can never remember now unless I hear mention of them...

  • Very interesting and, most importantly, balanced commentary presenting different interpretations of what went on there...

  • Has anyone visited here and if so have you noticed anything??

  • Thanks for this visit to Borley. My parents went there many years ago just to take a photo for me. I have Peter Underwood's Gazetteer of British and Scottish Ghosts. My favorite guide to the paranormal in Britain is Antony D. Hippisley Coxe's Haunted Britain. Another great video Chris!

  • that last EVP was strange. xx

  • I dont think ghosts can pull up a van and move. I think the left behind stuff being sensed is bang on. I then have to wonder about moving objects. I have seen many things thrown. What causes that if the object is new? Energy left behind? Then why is only one thing moved? And often with delicate "hands"?

  • when i was younger, i read a book on borley recotry, and it was the case that got me interested in the paranormal. thanks for posting this man! its sweet

  • boreley rectory is gone now . apparently, a ghost knocked over a candle and it burnt down

  • absolutly brilliant, great insight into the mystery of borley rectory, one of which i,ve always wanted to know more about. good work :)

  • Glad you appreciated the video:-)

  • glad you posted it :)

  • Chris you're a natural...You always have great videos...loved it..

  • Thanks curiousgurl1:-)

Check out my latest online now. The Haunted Medieval Chapel. I think you`ll like that one too! Chris

  • i went to borley in the 80's and what happened convinced me that ghosts are real

  • Borley is so constantly visited still at night by so many people. You were lucky to get the experience under these circumstances. Thanks for commenting.

  • reading about borley rectory was one of the things that got me interested in paranormal stuff, didnt they find a female jawbone when the place burnt down? anyway, thnks 4 sharing

  • Hi, they found some bones in the cellar floor which locals identified as pig bones. Price was adament they were human. Thanks for commenting.

  • This is the best video ever

  • Thanks Laura!!!!

  • Hi Chris hope you had a nice christmas. Should have let us know you were going there we only live five minutes away . and we can show you were the old rectory used to stand great place . But the locals are not very friendly . Speak to you soon

  • I went up there literally on the spur of the moment and as it was New Year`s Eve I thought most people were out visiting friends or family.

You`ll have to join me or the team on another jaunt I`ve planned later on. I will contact you nearest to the day.

  • wow, interesting video again mate, and a new soundtrack too?

  • Thanks weezinggrass. I`ve tried a new intro but I might change it as I`m not entirely happy with it. Thanks for your support:-)

  • ok, this video has barely started and im alredy freakied outt!! flip-in-ay i mean i paused, ill watch, and comment the rest nuu probs i a minute!...

  • My pleasure azerty800:-) Glad you enjoyed it.

A new video is being uploaded as I type:-)

    check it out!

  • y dont u come to ireland has to be sum spooky places over here?

  • elmurty: I`m definitely coming over to Ireland soon. Going to link up and do some stuff with my mate SeanyBoy from Dublin.

  • wow so clear, why only some people have HD ?

  • You need a powerful PC to process the video.

I`m using a very powerful machine with two interlinked graphic accelerators to make these.

Thanks for commenting. BTW I left my old job through ill health, but I definitely prefer this life! :-)

  • Im sure you do prefer this life :)

  • years ago i use to go to a local boys camp,,and in a couple of weeks in august ,strange things use to go on there ,some of the adult helpers use to go over to borley, and be turned back by what i could only discribe as bully/secruity people ,,tooled up ,how true this was i was unsure ,we were told of black mass, whtch craft,,i was only young ,but we all knew about the place ,and it was true ,no locals ever talked about it ,

  • Borley is well over-hyped by the media and that`s drawn a lot of attention the locals dislike. That`s why they probably had security on site.

  • Enjoyed your video on Borley Rectory so very much!! I have read some about Borley Rectory over the years in some of my books about hauntings and such. So much better to actually see (and hear) your investigation! Thank you again for another top rate video!!

  • Thanks Krissy!:-) I`ve been busy working on a new video which I think you`ll like too. It should be on-line later on January 10th.

    Thanks for your kind support:-)

  • Awesome video, Chris - couldn't understand the EVPs at all, but I really enjoyed watching the documentary. Old churches and cemeteries sure do have a lot of interesting things to hear and see...

  • I`m glad you enjoyed the video. EVP is a thorn of contention to many. You can either hear it or you can`t. It`s a nightmare sometimes! lol

  • Yes, it really is a bone of contention, isn't it. But the reality is that the dead *do* speak; it just depends on who's listening for them, I guess... Great work, Chris. Really. :)

  • no prob, i just figured why would a ghost be telling about a duck? im pretty sure looney tunes wasnt around back then lol

  • Quite so..

  • Your new video rocks Mr. Halton

  • Fantastic :)

I have always had ghosties with me but I don't tell very many people -- no matter where we move I feel them. I feel they are my american indian relatives of the past and some were just those that once lived there. When I was a kid I would hear voices which seemed to come from the roof of my house but now that I can play it back in my mind..

They were from heaven or somewhere above me. My mom always told me no one was on the roof *lol*

    Very good video :)

    Thanks

  • Hi Wendy, I think many of us feel a comforting presence around us sometimes, if people opened themselves to it more they would also experience this. Anyway, glad you enjoyed this video.

  • thanks for the video

  • gbcgwt: Glad you liked it.

  • great vid chris...great research and always so informative. thanks for taking me to england again! *hugzzz

  • Hey Jo, I should start charging you for all these trips to England! lol. Glad you enjoyed the video.

  • The whole video is absolutely amazing. You do a wonderful job. There's nobody else on any of the paranormal sites that are any where near as good as you are at what you do and I think they should DUMP Most Haunted and we should have you on the T.V.

  • Laura: I think Most Haunted are doing an excellent job of dumping themselves after I saw their last programme!! lol

  • Too True

  • Ok Chris if I ever get to England I'm coming to you for a tour guide. You seem to find the most beautiful churches.

  • Hi Michele: Lol! I appreciate that:-)

  • id watch this but i have to go to school in 5 hours. lol peace! fved for further viewing

  • Punkgi1: Don`t let my videos get you into trouble at school! :-)

  • Didn't the place burn down because the bones were moved or was that some other place? Also, if the spirit had a veil, woulnd't that be a bride not a nun? Best segment so far, but the "maniacal laughter" seems to be interjected by a dog bark or a scream or something of the sort.

  • Derive4:

The house burnt down when the new owner alledgedly knocked over an oil lamp - the house had no electricity. Regarding the veiled woman - you are quite right there. I personally don`t think it`s a nun, but at the end of the day, who knows! Thanks for commenting.

  • Great clip at around 5:59! Nice touch!

  • My pleasure Brandi of Ohio:-)

  • Really good bg info. You did a great job writing and delivering the narrations. Fires and Haunted Houses seem to go hand in hand! TOP NOTCH video!

  • Thanks Brandi:-) And you do a good job yourself also.

  • another fascinating video 5* and good show! A truly beautiful and interesting old church. I heard the maniacal laughter, but I wonder if its more of a growl. I heard this same type of sound in Green Mount. excellent.

  • hey you! Happy New Year! =)

  • Oi!! You already wished me that!!!!!

  • Thanks Sharon:-)

The laughter for me made me jump!! You can just hear it audiably right after the EVP insert.

    Thanks for your support.

  • Umm I understand

  • Cool

  • Thanks:-)

  • just for the record, do you think that girl was saying "abduct" or "a duct" instead of "a duck"?

  • aquemeni541: You could very well be right. It wasn`t the best of EVP that I`ve captured.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • That was an interesting piece.

Is it usual for ghosts to move to a nearby building if the one they occupy is destroyed?

I'd be more inclined to say these were different spirits but this Price chap seems to have muddied the waters.

Also what stands on the site of the rectory now?

As a sceptic i enjoyed this piece.

  • discreditor: You are right on there. I think Price (my belief) was a paranormal investigator, but also was a bit of a showman.

In a way, Price is responsible for the current state of affairs today at the church. If this story never existed in the first place, the churchyard would be quieter now.

I believe bungalow houses are built on the site, and regarding the ghosts moving, well they would have had to have haunted the site in the first place - I would have thought. Thanks for commenting:-)

  • You're so lucky you get to go to all these places! Ugh i'm jealous! :)

Nice video once again very entertaining!

Might I ask you, What editing program do you use to edit your videos?

  • gagirl101: I use Windows Movie Maker and VideoStudio11.5 to edit. Thanks for commenting.

  • You're welcome. Thank you for replying! I have Windows Movie Maker but I am unfamiliar with VideoStudio11.5

  • Thinking about it ,I must say the BBC has never been slow in the uptake to make or involve themselves with such documented material it would be interesting Constantine99999 if you were able to make more such comparable contributions to see how we have progressed over the years in our investigation and how it has all progressed and how our ideas of how we should move forward with the evidance we gather is used the actual hands on investigation is often only a half of the work.

  • The problem is that although we have made advancements in our understanding and technical knowledge we are still head-butted by bigotry.

It`s perfectly understandable though with Borley. I`ve seen masses of people there on-site out to scare their girlfriends. These guy`s came from up to 200 miles away!

I really need now to access the church itself to follow through with tests. Wish me luck!:-)

  • Interesting and entertaining as always! I only have troubles with the EVP samples as I don´t understand anything there. But that´s maybe because English is not my mother tongue.

  • DJKOZI; The EVP wasn`t the best I`ve taken, but the laughter - for me seemed real enough. That`s the trouble with some EVP it isn`t always heard as clearly from different ears. Glad you enjoyed the mini-documentary though.

  • Great video.

  • Thanks Foxy:-)

  • no prob

  • Chris, in the picture at 1:28, is the woman's head that can be seen center left, supposedly the spirit, or is that me making something out of nothing?

Also at 4:19, is it, "None could be verified" or "Nun could be verified"? :P hee hee hee :D

  • Lol! I realised that in the final cut - but too late:-) Nun/None offense taken!

    I must think more carefully..doh!

I`ll check out your other point later. YouTube has gone on a go slow for me at the mo..

BTW I got your message thanks. Will get back to you. Regarding "Lovejoy" I met two of the cast and have visited the real-life Felsham Hall on a few occasions. Loved the series:-)

  • Very good Chris! Love the historical as well as BBC background. Too bad you could not get "in". Excellent videography!

  • Thanks evy:-) I really appreciate your feedback. My next mission is to get the key from the church to look around the building.

  • Thanks fishnut:-) Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  • This very good Chris, wow what an amazing story behind it too, It's got allot of history, I enjoyed watching this video, You do a really good job,

    Laura,

  • Thanks Lollipop:-)

  • Haha ;)

  • Would I be wrong in thinking since that BBC docu in 75 the visual sparks of light or red sparks of moving light are now captured so successfully by our digital equipment as orbs.

I have taken digital shots on a continuas and they will move around so quickly they are in the one spot and have moved so quickly they are not in the next few shots that the idea of a reflection at least is not clearly defined as one of the culprits.

  • You made an excellent point there. You are quite right about those small pinpricks of red and sometimes blue light. Thanks for commenting.

  • good job it was really interesting

  • Thanks baseball:-)

  • Your not allowed in the church?!!?Thats lame..

  • Not in the circumstances.

  • interesting! thanks for the upload

  • My pleasure equiner7.

  • 5 stars! it's worth at least 20 stars!

  • Lol! You are too kind:-) Thanks for commenting.

  • your welcome! ^_^

  • brilliant start to the new year! 5/5

  • Thanks very much! :-)

  • fascinating

  • Thanks Nigel.

  • I have visited Borley 5 times over the past 30 years. The first time (1976) I was going to Bungay and divereted to Borley. It was a hot summer day with a strong breeze blowing. When I parked the car in front of the church there was only a garderner tending the graves and yew trees. I entered the church, and similar to your experience I immeadiately felt a forboding and the feeling of being watched..quite a vivid strong feeling which grew stronger along the path from the porch to the carpark.

  • How I wish I visited the church then. Now it seems so inhospitable because of the idiots that have ruined this for the majority.

Glad to hear your feelings on site are the same as my own. Thanks for commenting.

  • My second visit (1987) I took a freind who had always wanted to visit. This time I had to request the key to the church and after some protest it was finally given over. Inside another strange thing took place. I stood in the middle of the church to take photos of both ends and the stained glass windows. I stood in the same position swiveled and took a picture of the font. All the pics came out superb but that one of the font was dark and foboding yet lighting was good and constant both ends.
