@azhari2010 MAS is a 5 stars airline, but I gotta admit that from the age of fleets, Audio & Video On Demand, and in-flight experience, Garuda Indonesia is still better. That's not me talking. That's scored by Centre of Asia Pacific Aviation. When Malaysia Airlines got the lowest point (7,00) Garuda Indonesia got the highest point (8,6) surpassing even Singapore Airlines. Even on Skytrax's passenger review, Garuda is still better than Malaysia Airlines. Search in google if you don't believe.

For those people outside Indonesia, it is true that previously GA known as a shitty airline that abandoned their passengers. But now you can see that GA is getting better and better. We can compete in a fair way. I have tried VN once i went to Hanoi, and i understood why GA get 4 and VN get only 3. But when other airlines is getting better than GA, I won't say that GA is better.

@MusicLover11325 Not anymore, Garuda is officially the best airline in ASIA by official score from CAPA (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) beats airline such as Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways, and Bangkok Airways. Garuda will receive 5 stars airline ranking in 2014. They're both great airlines, just Garuda is now much better than it was.

Indeed, Garuda does not have A380s. They orderred 10 B787s but has recently cancelled simply because Boeing is taking forever to deliver them to Garuda. Garuda is now switching to ordering some 777s instead.

@cst1908 Are you kidding me??? They've signed a contract to order 10 Boeing 787-8 from Boeing, they CAN'T Cancel it. And their plan WAS to order 6 B777-200ER and 4 B777-300ER, but then the 6 B777-200ER was changed to B777-300ER, so they've ordered 10 B777-300ER now. And for your information, Garuda also add more than 30 Boeing 737-800NG specially made from Boeing to Garuda Indonesia. Man, Garuda is now a great airline, they've thrown away their past, that's what making GA so moving forward.

They're also going to double their fleet in 2015 from around 50 airplanes to more than 110 airplanes (Including A330-200, A330-300, B737-800NG, B747-400, B777-300ER, and B787-8 Dreamliner) and will be a 5 Stars Airline within 5 years. They've received "The Most Improved Airline 2010" from Skytrax, so it's possible for Garuda to make their way to 5 Stars Airline.
