Wow! Awesome Chet. What do you call this type of ballad? Is it a 'lament' ? I love the way you sang it with such feeling and your guitar playing is superb. Is Freddie Aguilar the original writer? It's seems like it's from personal experience.

@halopa246 this is the short version of Freddie's ballad. the long version adds how the man finally became a father. i wouldn't know what kind of a ballad is this.

Freddie Aguilar was the original writer of this song. It was one of the very first songs he wrote. I don't think this was from a personal experience of his since there wasn't anything from his history that indicates this. But I'm sure it was something he witnessed from someone.
