Guys I have a theory when watching again this episode, I believe Kenpachi has the same abilities as Stark. I strongly believe that Yachiru is actually his real sword not his lieutenant, but for some reasons neither seem to be aware of it.

@HandheldFlashlight Looks like an unreleased sword to me..... Not all regular zanpakuto look the same, look at Mayuri's: it has spikes and wires all over it, and Byakuya's has a unique hilt. I think it makes sense that Kenpachi's unreleased sword has all those jagged notches in it simply from all the times hes smashed it against stuff =P.

That's not a Bankai, that is still his Shikai, He doesn't use his Bankai, and Starrk was the only Espada to die from just a Shikai, well next to the other guy with the odd shaped helmet.

Givin' the fact that he's the primera, he's normal Cero were probably as strong as Grimmjows Gran Ray, and he could fire them without delay or having to charge them like all the other Espada did.
