This game is awful. I had the mobile phone version and it was a horrible rip-off of GTA. But it's still great for when you're without your PSP/DS, but all the same I wouldn't recommend buying it for your DS : get GTA: Chinatown Wars.

Some gamers did like it but alot did not feel that it was worth $40.

The guy that reviewed GTA IV game much lower scores to superior games.

Also the GTA series was a failing series until GTA 3 came out. Most people prefer to play games built with the more popular engine (3D) thats why lcs and vcs were great.

Hmmm

The good aspects is that it's got a big map and has gta style gameplay.

The bad are that it's short, has strange controls, doesn't make use of the ipod touch/iphones graphical capabilities, the draw distance is dodgy and you can drive through most scenery.

I'll consider picking up an iphone/ipod touch if there are more games like this though.

I don't know what you're smokin, I love it. Pop up didn't bother me in the least, though it does get kind of annoying when you try to steal a car and it disappears all of a sudden (i.e. it goes out of view behind you and you turn and its gone). I think the world is fine and is on par with GTA III. You can certainly kill guys and run from the cops in this game, and I'm sure if you play past the tutorial it would get to the point that they are much more frequent and aggressive.
