Apology? What kind of thinking is that? lol you don't apologize for what you did when you were broken up. The woman said no. Saying not now to a guy is the same as saying maybe, which all comes down to no. I think Peyton was insecure and Lucas had a moment of clarity realized exactly what he wanted, but was afraid and felt he had to try to secure it now. At the end, there's no reason she couldn't have accepted as they didn't have to get married right away.

@jissha999 lol not really.being engaged doesnt mean you have to get married right away. she couldve said yes and just said "but i need some time before we have this wedding. she said no. so not really. they couldve been engaged for however long peyton needed to realize her one true love was standing right in front of her. its HER thats insecure. not lucas.
@glenn83456789 You're right, but i think the thought of even being engaged scared Peyton. They were about 19 when he proposed and living on other sides of the country... i think she just felt like it wasn't the right time for them to take that step
