  • cops useing horses again to attack people ??????

  • Nice one Tesco's, more jobs, more money take no notice of these idoits!!!!!!

  • I love to see how so many people are against the police. Funnily enough though, if they got robbed or assaulted.... who do they go to or call? Hmmm.... funny that....

  • Sarcastic cop.....fucking tosser.

  • What do protestors ever achieve here in the UK, when broken up they go home as if nothing happened, if you must protest do it properly, stay there for as long as it takes to get what you want. Even when the store opens, you should stay there blocking the entrance.

  • Tramps

  • Why is the Tescos store unwanted in this town?

  • @GTVAlfaMan are you serious ?

  • @badslabber

Here in Los Angeles, we have Tesco stores being built all over the place. However here they are called "Fresh and Easy" stores. I think there must be about 50 stores open here already.

  • @GTVAlfaMan Fresh and Easy that sounds so wrong lol

  • @GTVAlfaMan Planning permission granted without public consultation

  • Just wanted to add...I'd love to be a policeman...the sort who would be on the scaffolding telling the bailiffs that if they lay one finger on a protester I'll have them for assault....pointing out their rights as humans come before profits.

  • I like the Policeman's friendly response of 'if you're going to film, film us both'. Nice touch. So sad though that the protectors of our rights are being abused by corporations and turned into revenue collectors. I doubt the police like it much either.

  • Obviously none of you are from Bristol. Stokes Croft is a busy main road which leads into the town centre - Tesco will profit even without the custom of the people who don't want them there; they're the richest Supermarket chain in Britain, after all. And 'Smellies?' The people who really have links with Stokes Croft and who don't just houseshare for a couple of years nearby whilst in 'Uni', are tough in a way you nor the defeated PoPo will ever understand, because you're not.

  • You say 90% of locals don't want the tesco there.....so instead of creating violence by protesting, why are you not confident in the locals not shopping there? You would show the "peacful nature" that you say you have. Peace is not what has come of this. It may be a minority of people who have been violent but lets face it you went in with all guns blazing and caused a lot agro when you could of played it peacfully. Local shops live on with intention without reservation locals...and fuck tesco.

  • this is really interesting, the police seem polite and friendly, and have some clue as to what their powers are

  • why the hell don't you let them build the tesco's then just don't buy anything from there and when the shop does not take any money these blood sucking scumm will get the message

  • Where's Harry Roberts when you need him?

  • The rule of law does not equate to the rule of the mob. If you don't want a Tesco, ask for judicial review of the planning permission process.

  • Great video!- I think it would be VERY stupid for Tesco to try opening in Stokes Croft-me thinks they might meet with a little bit of grief- at least the coppers weren't beating the crap out of their horses on this one-bailiffs eh?-tsk!.keep up the brilliant work.H.Hx.

  • Lol! "Mate that horse just stood on my fu**ing toe!"

  • The coppers come across well,,,,,,,,it's the smellies who are being violent

  • At least they get to have a wash now......

  • 8:00 - WTF?!
