Dynamic SQL generation for the UpdateCommand is not supported against a SelectCommand that does not return any key column information.

Trying to get data from SQL has been hell on Earth, but this finally did the trick. The only part I wasn't able to get was the db to show up in the "database explorer".

Thx for the comment. Actually i think you are talking about the the "server explorer" - to get it to show up hold ctrl+alt+s or from the menu strip go to view-> server explorer. Thx for watching.

I think the connection isn't showing up because I'm using the Express edition.

I read that in the Express edition it's called "Database Explorer", but everywhere else it's "Server Explorer".
