    da.UpdateCommand = cmb.GetUpdateCommand

    the error is :

    Dynamic SQL generation for the UpdateCommand is not supported against a SelectCommand that does not return any key column information.

    please help me out with this problem and reply soon.......

    Trying to get data from SQL has been hell on Earth, but this finally did the trick. The only part I wasn't able to get was the db to show up in the "database explorer".

  • Thx for the comment. Actually i think you are talking about the the "server explorer" - to get it to show up hold ctrl+alt+s or from the menu strip go to view-> server explorer. Thx for watching.

    I think the connection isn't showing up because I'm using the Express edition.

    I read that in the Express edition it's called "Database Explorer", but everywhere else it's "Server Explorer".
