  • Very nice and the VFR on top with the mtns on the horizon added that much more reality to it. Great job getting your student down safely in IMC. Now if only your student kept it on the center on rollout... My advanced instructor and my DPE both told me to keep that center line between my legs.

  • too much music !! just post the real thing. thanks.

  • excelent video !! the aviation is the best work of the world !!!

    thnks GOD for that!

  • Nice work!

  • Nicely done !

I've always leaned towards multi IFR, just a preference over singlr IFR, but a well executed approach is always a source of great satisfaction. Good work !

  • nice job and good landing

  • Flying is the best thing ever...almost. Taking off with 200 ovc and flying hundreds of miles away and flying an ILS to minimums and the runway apprearing at 200 AGL is the best. All that while only seeing the ground a couple of minutes the whole flight.

  • I agree. I love the passing scenery while flying VFR, but I feel a certain cerebral satisfaction in an IFR flight well done.

  • @cessna421ace Flying is the best thing ever.

  • How you know if he came in "hot?"

  • i think some camera's make it seem too appear that your moving faster then you really are,on replay!!

  • First elementary rule of IFR: DO NOT RELY ON YOUR SENSES! Fight them at all costs! RELY ON YOUR INSTRUMENTS!

He did a perfect intercept and track right to mins!

  • if by hot you mean with excess speed, I can tell you we established about 90 knots before the outer marker. That's above approach speed for a Cessna 182, but workable for an ILS approach.

  • It'd be nice if at least altimeter/airspeed indicator and glideslope indicators were in camera view, but very nice landing, if not a tad hot.

  • Breaking out right on the rabbits, never gets old!

  • I shot a GPS into DYL last night, totally no where near landable (2mi, OVC002) then went missed and made it in to LOM on a GPS to minimums. My family wanted to see what that looked like, your video was perfect!

  • nice job!!!

  • Nice job- I need to come to the NW to practice that stuff! I have about 60 hrs of simulated and 3, yes 3!, hrs of actual.

I'm confident in my training but won't be taking anything down to mins anytime soon.

  • RWBREADY what is the name of the song? who plays this song?

The app. and the song are both great!! Greetings from Raleigh NC.

  • Wish I could tell you. The original music was muted due to copyright issues. I used Youtube's music swap feature and don't remember the name

  • What aircraft did you fly in this approach? Nice video by the way! 5*

  • Cessna 182. thank you.

  • Very nicely executed. Minimal power changes I could tell by the prop strobing. Stable as it gets!

  • Can't wait to bust my first cloud layer!

  • good vid however, its not even close to mins...

  • Doesn't get much better than that! Nice job!

  • Damn. Nicely done. I can't wait to get my ifr rating.

  • that was a really good approach, too good in fact for someone who's doing actual IMC for the first time..

  • I'm his CFII. He had a lot of coaching in his ear as he was doing it.

  • Hey Mate Thats awesome! Enjoy your ticket... i got mine wet during the end of that storm December 1 2008 so i know that feeling of accomplishment! Congrats!

  • I love how you sinked the music. It worked great. I hope you are enjoying your IFR ticket now. There's nothing like popping out of the clouds and there is the airport right where it's supposed to be. ;)

  • Awesome video, I'm about to start my IFR training.

  • only a pilot could love 4 minutes of nothing but clouds in the windshield. Good luck on your IFR. It unlocks a lot of new adventures!

  • I was thinking the same thing as I was watching this video. I'm IFR certified but have not been active since shortly after I got my instrument rating. I never got to see how these look in reality. I enjoyed the video.

  • LOL, you're right. Even our wives don't understand this. You just have to be there...

  • Very nice!!! Only a fellow pilot can appreciate several minutes of nothing but the cowling and the soup lol.
