  • Thanks for sharing.

  • I don't need to watch this whole video. I know it, but I don't get one thing... Do you need your own money to produce or there are other investors or how does it work? If you know, please PM me and tell me. Thanks in advance! :D

  • i like gay people

  • @diznab900 Lamo

  • @TheCrownom Its all your money at first then when becoming bigger you'll have investors etc.

  • lol,i think he is cool guy, i want to fuck him

  • @jayinnc21 I suspect you don't know the first thing about movie producing. He gave a pretty good overview of the field. I've worked on over 8 feature movies as a PA. So, I know.

  • all you need is money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ expertvillage

While I do say you did try. You failed sadly. Given the fact you defined what is IS to be a indie filmmaker. Not how to BECOME one. There is a fine line between the "is" and the "become", of a indie filmmaker. For example how to become would have included what software ranges one may use. Hardware one may use. Techniques in the filming that will help. Especially those that will help cut costs. And so on. None of these points or even similar did you cover.

  • In short this is just a generic "is" commentary. Which is not helpful at all to an indie producer. Because if you have to be told what "is" a indie producer. When you looking to become one. Then it might not be the profession for you.

  • You sound like someone who enjoys hearing themselves talk not someone who done any of these things. Give concrete examples. Go out and talk to people is not advice.

  • i'm flo rida's cousin

  • I'm wondering how you can have contacts in the industry if you're starting from scratch. Obviously, another way to make it to producing work, is by starting small scale and making a name by working as *whatever* on short films and documentaries. Then you can get into the festivals and meet the people.

  • you have NO idea what you're talking about do you?

  • I write songs and I want to get them on mivies and TV. I know I need some exprince before I can have people take me seriously. Where can I find indie Filmmaker?

  • i've been asking what was the difference between a producer and a director... now I know!

    Thanks mate!

  • good stuff hope my way of doing it works

  • why do all of you guys use macs?!

  • exactly! its like im the only one that uses windows, lol

  • 'cuz iMovie rocks my indie socks.

  • @ Bum4life12345

Because with an intel mac you can use linux, windows, and mac. Not to mention macs have one of the fastest hardware architectures around. Meaning even windows runs faster when run on it =).

  • I fucking hate douchebags who 'network'.

  • Well okay, but don't cry when you wonder why your not working because you didn't network. The movie industry is all about networking...

  • @mattman2900 what is networking? knowing people who have connections?

  • @thebomb667 Netwroking is not necessarily knowing people who have connections, but meeting people that are in the same class, production as you or have similar interests, etc. For example if you have a interest in directing, and you meet someone that's interested in producing, or writing, etc. Or as an actor meeting people that are directors, producers, they need not be famous per se or anything. I just worked on a student film and the crew there was spectacular, met some cool ppl.

    :)

  • @mattman2900 thanks man it helped a lot.

  • Does he ever tell us what his credentials are? It's one thing to become an indie film producer; it's another thing ENTIRELY to become a *successful* indie film producer. For all I know, he could be just as qualified as that guy who teaches all those seminars on how to sell your screenplay even though he himself has never sold a screenplay...

  • In short, To become an indie filmaker is to be the guy who likes other guys. Brokeback mountain did nothing short of piss off 500,000 People in the great state of wyoming. Aperantly those weren't the contacts you were making.

  • My friend's friend made a film which won in a film festival and all he used was a handycam and pirated software to edit it. Check "Todo Todo Teros" on Google.

  • what happend to the parkour vids :(

  • I know why no mas??

  • You forgot to mention that if you add hand gestures while you speak it looks dumb and unatural instead of it's real intentions which is subtely grabbing visual attention.

    xD

  • I dream of being a movie derictor since I was a kid, I tried to make a music video of my niece singing ..

  • you look like a bitch

  • The why you try and fuck him like a bitch, Brett?

  • i would respond if what you just said had made any sense

  • It's from "Pulp Fiction," you douche!

  • ok jonnybitch94

  • Very well done! I can tell you are extremely witty and intelligent!

  • You look as if you wear makeup...

  • ANYONE IN FRONT OF A CAMERA, AND MOST LIKLY BEHIND A CAMERA ARE AROUND MAKEUP- I do not see makeup- who cares ??? This guy rocks

  • lol

  • awesome!

  • you are fatty

  • I plan on going to a film school once I graduate from high school.Does anyone have any suggestions for good film schools?

  • Fuck film school. Buy a camera, get your friends together, and start making movies.

  • like du right

  • True! film school is only a waste of money and time... I did the mistake and it leaded to nothing... specially when you know more than the teachers...

  • @Gaetstotal Bro are you serious ?

  • I wanted to make real movies all summer, but I didn't have time to get a script done,or the budget to work with.
