  • Fucking A!! That was awesome! Long live Run DMC!! ...(I think i may have one or two of his old albums)....hmm..might have to pull them out and dust them off!

  • Saweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

  • What a nice guy. Most celebrities wouldn't give the time of day to guys trying to interact, and he goes above and beyond. I was a teenager when RUN DMC came out, I liked them a lot back then (owned several albums) even though I was a middle class white metal head, They were a quality positve group. Sucks Jam Master Jay was killed, I'd bet they would still be making great music together.

  • I love DMC, but this reminds of that fresh prince skit when the guy started rapping on TV about tearing down the "wreck center" haha always a black guy needing to rap on TV

  • right, money makes things happen, people work for it, people kill for it, they lie for it, steal for it, cheat for it, give up principles and beliefs for it. most people will do most things for money. we all know this. but why? what is money and why do we want it. what is the history of the pieces of paper which exert such influence over a whole planet, and who controls these pieces of paper and how did everyone come to just let it happen? end the fed, forgive debt, and create a fair system.

  • @67jedi67 Your comment stands out. Money is served as if it were a god. That is the problem. I've read the following in the bible and I've found it to be true: The root of all evil is the love for money. Think about it. It's because of the love for money that people do not want to help those in need. It's because of this that there are nations who suffer. There is enough wealth in the world for every single person to be wealthy.

  • @kevinyankee2 Sorry to involve religion like every YT vid gets, but the Church does ask for an awful lot of money so they should really drop the whole "money is the root of all evil" thing if we are to take them seriously. That's the paradox: money is what makes civilisation function yet it's also the fuel of corruption.

  • @Psychonaut1992 The church? We are in the last days and we can see the wolves clothed as sheep. There are fakers out there. Not all churches ask for money. No matter what churches do, the word stays true: The root of all evil is the love for money. It's not bad to use money or to save, but to horde it or to be greedy or selfish is another story.

  • @kevinyankee2 You can't have it both ways. If the Church preaches money is evil, then that's fine, but if they're going to ask for it at the same time then it's bullshit. The thing is, establishments that don't run a profit need donations... so it's kind of daft to preach that when they need the money. Also, hoarding and greed are incredibly subjective. Some people call hard-working rich folks greedy even if they're honest and pay their taxes, etc.

  • @Psychonaut1992 The church doesn't preach money is evil, the church preaches the LOVE FOR MONEY is the root of all evil. That means if you love money, that's where all of your evil ways come from. It means that all the evil we see today is because someone, somewhere was loving money so much that we saw the results of it like I mentioned in an earlier post. It's pretty simple to understand.

  • @kevinyankee2 Understand the difference? It's OK to use money... it's not ok to love money. When you choose to love money you start to grab hold of it for yourself only. You spend only on yourself or mostly on just yourself. You don't like giving it to others, not even if they are asking for it because they have a NEED. You are a lover of money if you prefer to go through tough times yourself, just so you wouldn't have to spend anything.

  • @kevinyankee2 Wether you realize it or not, you are serving money as a god when you do this. When you love something that much. That's what we see today. People love money and they will do whatever they can to get their hands on it without caring who gets in the way. Family members fight over their heritages mostly because of money, they care more about their heritage than the own family member who is about to die. It's pathetic. It's called worship of a false god subconsciously.

  • @kevinyankee2 "You are a lover of money if you prefer to go through tough times yourself, just so you wouldn't have to spend anything." So being humble and practical is sinful too? The point you're making about the /love/ of money being the root of all evil is more logical, but I doubt every Christian would agree with you. Anyway, all gods are false in my eyes, and I don't need to be religious to know that money is power and power corrupts.

  • @Psychonaut1992 Your definition of humble is wrong. You don't get it do you? You rather have you and your family starve or malnutritioned just so you wouldn't have to spend what is necessary on yourself and your family. I disagree, actually. All christians should be able to agree to this. It's a principal.

  • @kevinyankee2 It's like, your son needs a computer mostly for school work, but you say you are not going to buy it because you don't want to spend money. The problem is you have more than enough money to help your own son but since you don't want to spend and you love money THAT much, you just won't spend it, not even if your son needs it. Get it?

  • @kevinyankee2 Woah, where are these assumptions coming from? I don't even have a family to take care of but what makes you think their basic welfare is less important than anything else? "All Christians should be able to agree to this"? That's just the thing about Christianity: every one of them thinks his own version of the faith is correct and that everyone else has it wrong. You can't even agree amongst yourselves.

  • @Psychonaut1992 It's an example... I'm not getting off topic here. The point is, the love of money is the root of all evil. Fact.

  • @kevinyankee2 Evil is subjective. Since when were opinions "fact"?

  • @Psychonaut1992 Looks like I have to explain every detail for you to be able to understand the message. In this case, we are talking about money. EVIL: Selfishness, sticking to your money (having plenty) rather than giving to those in need, corruption, dishonest gains, stealing, killing, lying, ETC.

  • @kevinyankee2 Or maybe sceptics aren't happy with a "just because it says so". Interestingly, atheists like me are also for charity, and against corruption, dishonesty, stealing, killing and lying - the difference is we base it on law and reason rather than old scriptures.

  • @Psychonaut1992 No offense, but you guys are a headache.

  • @kevinyankee2 None taken - personally I consider aggressive believers akin to cancer.

  • @Psychonaut1992 Naut, the root of all evil is the love for money. Simple.

  • @kevinyankee2 I didn't challenge that idea. In fact I agreed with you on that note several comments ago. The difference is that I don't need the church to tell me it for it to make sense, and I realise that evil is... again... subjective. If you want examples of that then let me know.

  • @Psychonaut1992 I didn't notice you agreed at all. The church can tell you, but it comes straight from God's word, and it's just nice how it makes perfect sense.

  • @kevinyankee2 God's word was written by man, though - the question is whether or not a god actually spoke to them. When that happens nowadays they get sent to a psychiatrist, so go figure. It doesn't make perfect sense if two opposing ideas are preached at the same time - you shouldn't have to explain for them the fallacy of it.

  • @Psychonaut1992 Let me rephrase that first part: "God's" word, because it's not like he's come down any time recently to actually insist that it is his word. Personally I wouldn't trust the 3000-year old account of horny old murderers living in the desert.

  • @Psychonaut1992 If you would read the bible, you wouldn't be speaking against it like you are now. You would know the difference between the new testament and the old.

  • @kevinyankee2 Actually, most atheists have to read the Bible to become what they are. We're mostly ex-religious. You're also assuming that I haven't read any of it. What's the difference between NT and OT, then, besides the obvious Judaic/Christian divide? Why don't you explain what you mean instead of making throwaway statements? If it's all the word of God then why do you try separating the two testaments?

  • @Psychonaut1992 If you would read through the bible, you would know the difference between the Old Testament and the New. You would actually learn to fear God. The problem with atheists and bible bashers is they don't know that Jesus has laid out new commands that override the old ones. That's why I tell you and all bashers, if you read through the bible, you would be able to tell the difference of the OT from the NT.

  • @kevinyankee2 Instead of telling me that, why don't you tell me the difference yourself instead of giving me the lazy and impractical "read through the whole Bible"? Why would I fear something that was likely invented by people? Why would Jesus need to make new commandments if God's word is so pure? Why would you keep the OT if that's the case? You're still assuming I've never touched a Bible. All questions and no answers. Go ahead and try and answer something this time.

  • @Psychonaut1992 I wrote it like that for your own embarrassment. I already answered you, Naut. Jesus gave us many examples of what following Him is all about and how to treat others. These teachings are in the New Testament. The NT is divided from the OT because of Jesus' birth. The difference is we no longer are saved by following the laws of God, but by grace. Because of Jesus' sacrifice for our sins, we no longer have the curse of the law upon us.

  • @kevinyankee2 Oh, to embarrass me. That's interesting because I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't like deceit. You still haven't answered why the OT is included in the Christian Bible if it's essentially obsolete. You've yet to give any of these "examples". Also, Jesus once sent someone to be tortured for dressing inappropriately for a wedding (and yes I can find that verse for you, in context too). That doesn't sound like a nice guy to me. "Curse of the law"? Law is what keeps the peace!

  • @Psychonaut1992 You took it the wrong way... anyways, the Old Testament has laws that were originally given to the Israelites. They were to follow those laws known as the ten commandments. They not only had to follow those laws, but also their traditional law ie.: circumcision and others. Those who failed to follow those laws were condemned. Today, we don't depend on these laws as they did. We now fulfill all the law by loving one another, and are saved by grace and not by our works.

  • @kevinyankee2 We are saved by grace because Jesus chose to die for all of us, representing the only sacrifice that can erase our sins. Therefore we do not need to make animal sacrifices because Jesus already has made the one and only sacrifice for all of our sins. Problem is, if you don't believe this, then it's obvious you can't be saved. Not only did He die for us, but also resurrected. He foretold His resurrection to His disciples many times. He resurrected after 3 days.

  • @kevinyankee2 He resurrected because He lived a perfect life with no sin. (that's why he was the perfect sacrifice, just like in the OT where you would have to sacrifice the best sheep or goat you had that did not have blemish, Jesus took that spot once and for all and sacrificed Himself on the cross for us). He then spoke to His disciples a last time before ascending to heaven with His Father (God).

  • @kevinyankee2 Back to the OT. We still read and study the OT, but not use it's old laws for our daily living because Jesus gave us a new set of commands, or a co-mission. To love God above all things and to love our brothers as Jesus loved us. The bible says He loved the world so much, He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but receive eternal life. We love our brothers to the point that we would give our lives for them. That's perfected love.

  • @kevinyankee2 The OT contains lots of information and laws that we do not follow (the man made laws, not the God made laws). There were man made laws where it would be a sin if you didn't follow the custom of the Israelites. Jesus pretty much told us that's not the way to follow Him. The way to follow Jesus is through love and faith. It's not about following customs, but following what Jesus taught us.

  • @kevinyankee2 The OT does contain lots of great examples of good morals on how to treat other people, (and this is the part where you are probably thinking about the mane wars Israel had, and how they had to kill people including children in one occasion), yes, they once had to do this, it was because those people were rebelious against God. Whoever wasn't with God is His enemy. God is just, He didn't just order to kill them like that, He gave them much time to turn to God. But no.

  • @kevinyankee2 That's probably all about the OT and how it is different from the New Testament. The gospel in the NT is referred to as THE GOOD NEWS. It's good news to hear that now you don't have to go through so much trouble to make things right with God. You must ask for forgiveness to God and turn from your dark ways and walk towards the light and believe that Jesus is your saviour and that He died on the cross for your sins as the ultimate sacrifice. Believe and you shall be saved.

  • @kevinyankee2 Saved from what? Saved from the wrath of God. God has been holding up his anger for thousands of years. Putting up with everything people have thrown at Him. People on YouTube make it a habit to blaspheme God. That's a prime example. God said He will destroy this earth with fire. He will unleash His wrath very soon but His children will not suffer at all because He will send Jesus to take us up into heaven. We won't be witnessing what will happen here.

  • @kevinyankee2 So it depends on you to decide wether or not you want to be saved, because after all, it is your decision. God gave us free will. But He offers you this precious gift of salvation. He offers it to everyone, but many people refuse to take it. So ultimately, they are the ones who choose if they want to be saved or not.

  • @kevinyankee2 God gave us free will? Debatable.

"God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation." - 2 Thessalonians 2:13

“…the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” – Jeremiah 10:23

Do you know just how many times the end times were /supposed/ to have come about and how each and every time those people were wrong? It's already happened in the past year! A Christian, no less! Every false "prophecy" throws doubt on the whole notion.

  • @Psychonaut1992 2 Thes. 2:13 is a message to believers. It talks about how they were chosen before hand for their salvation because God knew they would be saved. This doesn't take away the fact that we all have free will, it just says God knows everything. Jeremiah 10:23 is talking about how the people around him have ignored God and chosen to wander in their own path. In verse 23 he admits that it is not man who has dominance, but God over all things. God lets you live and make decisions.

  • @kevinyankee2 then it would seem that it is impossible to know which way I will go, for I could go either way, cause I have free will. If there was a being, lets call this being God, who created everything and allready knew I would be in this crossraod and knew in advance what I am going to choose in this particular crossroad, something which an allknowing being evidently knows, then this being did not actually give us free will but instead the mere illusion of it... and still judges us all!?

  • @kevinyankee2 "2 Thes. 2:13 is a message to believers. It talks about how they were chosen before hand for their salvation because God knew they would be saved. This doesn't take away the fact that we all have free will, it just says God knows everything."

Really? That seems like a logical fallacy if I have ever seen one :D And having studied logic I have seen a few...

If I was at a moral crossraod which would determine my faith concerning salvation etc and I have free will...

  • @kevinyankee2 Let me save your breath: before you tell me I took it out of context, like believers seem to do whenever someone quotes a contradictory verse from the Bible, if the word is true then why can it not be quoted? Why should Christians be allowed to misquote atheist books, but all others' propositions are moot and labelled thoughtlessly as "out of context" merely because /their own scripture/ contradicts itself and Christian teachings as a whole?

  • @Psychonaut1992 The bible can be quoted. Who said it couldn't? Atheists books? I have no experience about this, so you have to speak to a christian who actually reads atheists books and misquotes them like you say. You can't blame me for the mistakes of others.

  • @kevinyankee2 Well done for answering some of my questions. Really, I mean that. Of course the Bible can be quoted; the issue is that Christians get very defensive if it gives them a bad name. I'm not blaming you for others' actions, but I am questioning you about the acts of those of your faith, the faith your are defending.

  • @kevinyankee2 Lots of great examples of good morals is little good if there are lots of great examples of indefensibly "evil" so-called morals too. It was more than once that God demanded children be killed - that I can back up, and with your own scripture. God is just? Why then does he judge those who follow his ways but do not accept Jesus then? Jealousy and wrath: that's what your god is. I will say one more time: I do not believe, and thus being saved is of no importance to me.

  • @Psychonaut1992 I answered this beforehand in one of my posts.

  • @kevinyankee2 What makes your interpretation correct, though? Is there at least one verse where Jesus unambiguously renounces the laws of the Israelites? You've answered your own question: if I don't believe then it's not relevant to me. Your god is not omnibenevolent if he favours those who follow him but punishes those who do not. Why do you read the OT if it's no longer relevant then? You've yet to explicitly answer that. If some content is man-made then why not all of it?

  • @Psychonaut1992 Mat 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor[g] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you

  • @Psychonaut1992 Mat 5:38-42

You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’[f] 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

  • @kevinyankee2 I already knew the NT was the hippie re-imagining of the Judaic scripture, though. All the more contradictory. You have told me that Jesus brought new laws, but you've still not explained why you hold to the Hebrew texts if they are obsolete.

I don't understand why you're telling me about divorce "laws" from Matthew, though. Again, the OT has explicit views about the treatment of women. To keep the OT in your scripture you are responsible for justifying its word.

  • @Psychonaut1992 Yes, I did tell you why we still read the Hebrew texts. They contain history plus prophecies.

  • @Psychonaut1992 About women? I haven't read the OT to tell you anything about that. If you give me an example I will read into it in context.

  • @kevinyankee2 watch?v=4Yon43t7dwY contains several violently sexist verses. The validity history of the Hebrew texts is debatable, unless you believe that there was in fact a world-destroying flood and a talking snake within the last six thousand years or so.

  • @Psychonaut1992 I'm taking this to your linked video. Await for my reply there.

  • @ Mat 5:33-37

You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your Yes’ be Yes,’ and your No,’ No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

  • @Psychonaut1992 Mat 5:31-32

Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality[e] causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.

  • @kevinyankee2 interesting you say the love of money is the root and not money itself. i agree, money is a tool that replaces trust, it is how people have come to see it and serve it because the aspects of money are controlled by a select few. most people want to just be rich, which in essence is saying i want you all to become my servants and i dont want to put any effort other than choice into the life i lead. we have been convinced of many flawed concepts which have allowed this to happen.

  • Ouch!

  • You can never remove the money from the 1%, cause its not all in the banks. They store it in metals, properties, stocks, and other forms... Face it, the sheep will always be slaughtered.

  • 1% own and control banks which manipulate government which controls military and media. IMO the most effective way to solve this prob;em is to get to the root.. what percentage does it require to remove the 1%. WE need to do what our government calls ? requisition ? Take from them what they have stolen from the masses for generations.

  • @keensweep Remove the 1%. Do you know how stupid that sounds. Did someone remove your brain?
