Adobe Premiere for the video (for Inverting the colors). For the audio, I use Audacity (for editing the pitch and creating a few mp3s of the song at different pitches) and Acoustica mp3 Audio Mixer (for overlaying the edited files from Audacity into one mp3).

If you want a more detailed explanation, PM me. The "Nightmare" mixes are actually pretty easy to make compared to most Dual Mixes or (especially) the Parody songs.

Basically yes. I disabled the video's sound, and inserted the mp3 I made of all the different pitches put together instead.

I don't remember the exact audio pitches I used for this particular video, what pitches I use depend on the song. I usually make an mp3 15% lower pitch plus an mp3 15% higher, and stick it with the normal pitch mp3. I know that isn't what I did for this one though, it doesn't have the normal pitch audio at all in this one.
