Firstly, for the record, I think that statement is factually incorrect. TF won that "debate" hands down.
Having said that, debates about subjects like these are pointless. In debates, the most glib, the easiest talker, the one with the gift of the gab and the charisma can often win the debate despite the weakness of their arguments. Debates schmebates.

I make a habit of sending messages like this to WOTM. Usually I put something like "God Bless!" in the subject line.
People get kicked out of university for plagiarism for a good reason...
Do you understand why plagiarism is wrong? Just because you can't form a complete thought by yourself doesn't mean it's OK to steal from others. You do a disservice to everyone, Christian or otherwise. Please stop poisoning the well.

Ray needs to learn the difference between plagiarism and mockery. Richard Dawkins wasn't "using his banana routine", he was imitating Ray doing the banana routine, mocking how sad and foolish the entire concept is.
It's too bad Richard doesn't debate these kinds of people, but he is correct that doing so would only provide the "banana man" more publicity... even though watching him devastate the "crockoduck" hypothesis live would be priceless.

I saw the Ray Comfort video calling Dawkins a plagarist a few days ago. I posted a comment to it pointing out Comforts own use of plagarism but of course it never appeared and now it says the video is a private video only.
Gotta love those creationists. They are quick to call others names, but when they are called out or proven wrong they run and hide.

It must be something they drink. I have only recently seen the back and forth between the creationists and rationalists/scientists/atheists here on youtube. Its always the same. The creationists get proven wrong and they hide and put up their walls, or continue their attacks and keep changing the meanings of words or the playing field. Its really sad. Christians or so unChrist-like.

@ckorhonen72: Another thing everyone seems to be not commenting on is that Dawkins was NOT plagiarizing. Dawkins NEVER represented those as his own words and he implicitly gave credit to the author as the discussion was about Rays pitiful excuse for evidence. The way of the master however DID plagiarize because he did not give credit to the person that wrote the material and represented it as his own (assuming he was not given permission by the original author).

Very true. I saw that video. I was slack jawed when he was calling that plagiarism. Hell, that would make every reporter and nearly every comedian a plagiarist. Statements of fact that are in simple statement form are easy enough to duplicated, but when they all appear in the same order its harder to say it was a coincidence. Some of those passages would qualify for that defense but some are way to long to be a total coincidence.
It is unfortunate that public domain means that anyone can tag whatever they want onto the front and get away with it.
Has anyone published a Bible with "....any similarities to anyone living or dead is coincidence yet?"

Check out his stoplight evangelism videos sometime if you get the chance. He drives around and lambasts people with a megaphone from his car while stopped at traffic lights. Funny.
