An album made in eight days yet it is by far my favorite album. If their tour bus didn't break down and leave them with nothing to do for eight days we wouldn't have this monumental album, some things just have a way of working themselves out !!! Thank you for posting this !

this album the rescue was made in 2 weeks without any writing before hand and recorded immediately. The eight songs are called day1 to 8 because the album was inspired by 8 days the bands spend waiting for repairs after their van had broken down on tour. The repairs left them flat broke. They stayed in a kind samaritans attic during the 8 days. I don't know if the story is true, but i thought i'd share it

This is one of my favorites by them. My newborn baby girl loved Explosions in the Sky when she was in my tummy, she would move all close to the speaker...and she loves it now too. So beautiful <3

@jajourda- In my opinion it's never too early to introduce them to music. I'm not positive but I think the baby will be able to hear music around the 20th week. I think I was about 5 months or so when she responded and now when I put it on it calms her down/puts her to sleep. Babies love music, it's awesome. Congrats by the way! :)

i don't truly think anyone understands how great the guitar work on this song is. you'll NEVER find a better post-rock group than eits. they may not be the most crazy, or even technical - but there music is just beautiful.
