  • game intros didnt exist before ninja gaiden

it will always be the best in my opinion

  • I have to say that out of all the intro songs to any video game this has to be the best. Agree? Disagree?

  • @geno1082

I would personally say Double Dragon 3 (or 1). But this one is pretty epic too ^_^

    Definitely in my top 5!

  • @pelletier1986 I've tried looking for videos for them, but my Youtubing skills are kinda lame. Do you have links to those vids?

  • @pelletier1986 Never mind I saw your comment below and just copy and pasted on the search bar. After listening to all 3, I have to say Double Dragon 1 and Chaosium Sword are tied in the top spot. Both of these games took up a huge chunk of my childhood, which I have no problem with.

  • @geno1082

Yeah I agree about the tie. Never played much NG2 or DD1 in my childhood, it was mostly Contra, DD2 and Punch-Out, but I still get this awesome nostalgia feeling when listening to these. :P

And yeah sorry, should have specified the "tittle screen" songs.

Just remebered a nice intro NES song: Wizards and Warriors.

It think my vote for #1 would actually go to this one! Too bad it's so short...

  • Reminds me of one the themes in the season 4 Doctor Who series

  • Chills on my spine!

  • Do you have the victory music for ninja g.... oh right NOBODY EVER MANAGED TO WIN.......Nerf!

  • One thing I don't understand why they have to change the names on the games depending on if you live in Japan, US or Europe. Ninja Gaiden were called "Shadow Warriors" and we never got the 3rd game in trilogy plus the 2nd game is very rare here and hard to find. Shadow of the Ninja was called "Blue Shadow" Strange...

  • @Stonkish 'cause in that time they considered offensive the word "ninja"

  • Ohh... this music brings back those early memories... Thanks a lot for uploading...

  • This Intro just screams that the game is SERIOUS BUSINESS :)

  • Hardcore.

  • <3 Still a lovely tune...

A perfect example for a build up song. :D

  • Best intro ever been to a Nes game!

  • @karmierez

See Double Dragon 3 - title theme. It's a serious contender to this title! XD

    ugh, late reply I guess...

  • Let's make it ninja week and play the Shadow of the Ninja intro... Because ninja are awesome.

  • @HeavensMeat Which is a more epic title, Shadow of the Ninja, or Shadow of the Colossus?

  • @electricmastro Shadow of the Colossal Ninja

  • @HeavensMeat .......You got me

  • It sure gives you that certain tension you feel before the hardships.

  • Y-E-S!!!

  • Yeah I came. Definitely.

  • Ha, I was just playing this game today. I love this song!

  • OMG! I remember this from a Ninja Gaiden on my Gameboy!

It had the same song I think!

    <3 IT!

  • that's true. Ninja Gaiden Shadow (a.k.a. Ninja Gaiden 0 due to the fact that the intro mentions that it takes place in 1985, and that it happened before Ryu faced Jaquio)

  • Ninja Gaiden is a good choice 100% of the time

  • This song is epic! I remember watching the NG II intro when I was a kid and thinking "boy, this is gonna be one heck of a ride!". Also, NG II was my favorite of the trilogy and it also has some of the best music of the NES. :)

  • Is this an Amiga title screen?

  • I have been looking for this, thanks!

  • Interesting 1st choice for this game. I wouldnt have picked it 1st but Its definitely in my top 5 though. :)

  • I liked the intro for the first one a bit better. It ranks number one for me.

This is pretty good too. I never got around to playing this yet.

  • This really feels like one of those songs that's best played alongside the actual game. Otherwise, you can't see the Ryu-doppleganger pushing Ryu's girlfriend off a cl....wait, that's NG3. Whatever, good song, but one that needs the game to be as awesome as it is.

  • WTF??

Does the word doppleganger really exist in the English language?

    Because actually it´s German.

Haha, that´s so funny, like "Kindergarten",

    "Rucksack" and "Rosenkavalier".

  • man when this started up the story i was like YEEES! it gave me goosebumps!

  • Bringing it back way old school here
