  • golly dr indiana jones ..if you have some archaeological "evidence " of genuine merit ,then please present it for "peer review " to a respected scientific journal in that field ..you ARE correct that i have no credentials on this subject but i DO know the difference between ACTUAL forensic science and pure snake oil chicanery when i see it ..and btw , the fedora and leather jacket were just movie props ..psst ..DR Jones didn't REALLY find the "ark of the covenant" ,that was just pretend ..ok?

  • uh..neither the bible NOR the book of mormon has EVER been proven EVEN remotely true by ANY kind of genuine "peer reviewed" archaeology ..such odious dishonesty by such psuedo scientific apologists only serve to make themselves appear even BIGGER lieing assholes then they need be.any educated ,well informed and honest christian or mormon should be ashamed by such obvious chicanery and despicable dishonesty

  • @woodenmajor

In other words, you don't have a clue either so all you can do is add an in hominim personal attack. Educate yourself first then come here and make a complete dolt of yourself.

  • @BYP. Did you provide any evidence for your claims? Nope. Facts man, I deal in facts. Not just opinions. Show us the actual, factual, up close and personal, EVIDENCE. What you provided, provided no proof to the claims you make. Typical of a Mormon to judge what I was going to say before I say it. You provided nothing to refute. Which says to me that your very careful in how you present your self, and your evidences. Well rehearsed in the art of strawman arguments, for that I give you a Phd, BYP.

  • I heard alot of talk about evidence. Lets just say I'm from Missouri on this video.

  • @zane1963

Lets just say I am also in Missouri about your complete lack of refuting anything. There, now we are even - GRIN!

  • Where can a find a good set of study aids like the one or ones you have in this vid. I of some study books my self but I whould like more. and there hard to find where I am. There are not LDS stores at all where I live :(

  • FAIR and FARMS have internet bookstore. Just ship the book / DVD to you.

  • The teachers in the Hill Tribe villages work long hours teaching lessons, preparing meals, washing dishes, nursing the sick, and encouraging and supervising many health-related programs. They live on the premises with occasional time off a few times a year

  • 400 boarding on the premises. The project construction at the school included a water tank, two large shower rooms one for boys and one for girls and three five-stall rest room facilities, all fully tiled with outside sinks and mirrors.

  • Mae Ramoeng School was selected for the hand-over ceremony because it is the largest school, with an enrollment of nearly 1,000 students.

  • This was heightened by my conversion to a Mormon faith (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints), where opportunities abound in fulfilling what God wanted us to do, if we are to go back to His presence and be reunited with our mortal family in the afterlife. I have also learned that acquiring spiritual knowledge is not enough — living them is the most important thing, for our eternal destination will be gauged on how we live our lives here on earth.

  • This led to frequent attendance to Masses at almost all catholic churches in this country, reading the Bible and other religious inspirational books available, and listening to religious music. As I immersed myself into these spiritual activities, they brought positive changes in me, especially in my outlook towards lifes challenges. My understanding of the real purpose of our existence here on earth and how we can be eternally reunited with the Deity in the afterlife deepened.

  • Third, I am not an expert in Mormon apologetics; I am a Mesoamerican archaeologist, and I spend most of my time pawing through dirt rather than haggling with religionists.

  • omiolo told me he was a microbiologist and an expert in Dna.

OR was that omiolo2, one of your other pseudonyms.

    OR are you just confused?

"WHAT A TANGLED WEB YOU WEAVE WHEN FIRST YOU PRACTICE TO DECEIVE"

  • Before we begin, I want to mention a few things to help you understand our presentation. First, it is a coauthored paper with Wade Ardern and Matthew Roper; they will give the last part of our presentation. Second, much of our remarks comes from talks I gave at BYU and the National Library of Congress. After these presentations, I realized my arguments in favor of The Book of Mormon were deficient and that much more must be done before you should take them seriously.

  • The site is now open to all temple districts, with the exception of five located in Asia. New FamilySearch was first made available in the St. Louis area in 2007. It became accessible in Utah, by temple district, beginning in spring 2009.

A church membership number, found on temple recommends, and confirmation date are needed to create a profile on the site. The number and date can also be provided by a ward clerk.

  • Though tradition has linked the wise men of the East with the stories of Christmas, they came to Bethlehem some time after the birth of Jesus. (Matt. 2:11.) From a brief scriptural account in..

  • This is Sister Hemsley's third Church-service mission. Previously she served at the Beehive House and Joseph Smith Memorial Building. On each of her missions she has learned something different, she said, and each time it's something special she couldn't have learned anywhere else.

Sister Hemsley of the Peacefield Ward, Layton Utah Valley View Stake, said for her, service missions have proved to be a perfect fit.

  • The very fact that all you omioloses need to lie, deceive and make up 'cock and bull' stories to support the Mormon Myth demonstrates clearly that you have a total lack of confidence in it's plausibility!

Tell me again how: "Emory University has scientific papers saying that Native Americans were originally caucasian and from the middle east."

    HOOT!

  • This year, the LDS Church's Latino Christmas offering is "El Salvador del Mundo." A common presentation during Christmas and Easter seasons, the original English production — based on scriptural accounts of Jesus Christ's birth and resurrection — was first performed in November 2000 at the Conference Center Theater.

  • For several years now, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has presented a Christmas-time Hispanic celebration at either the Tabernacle or Conference Center — ranging from fireside-type meetings with speakers and choirs to festivals featuring dance and musical numbers from various Latin cultures.

  • According to Mayan prophecy, the world will end in 2012.

  • Prophecies regarding the last days often refer to large-scale calamities such as earthquakes or famines or floods. These in turn may be linked to widespread economic or political upheavals of one kind or another.

  • Sorenson has compiled information from the text about the month of the year various military skirmishes are mentioned. Almost all occur between the 11th and 3rd months, with a small number reported in the 4th, 5th, and 10th months, and none mentioned in the 6th through 9th months

  • A fascinating issue on climate is the seasons of war described in the Book of Mormon, mostly between Alma 9 and Alma 47. Several examples provide specific months and days of the battle (e.g., Alma 16:1). Many others indicate the general time of year (e.g., Alma 44:2224). In over 30 places, war action is described as taking place near the end or beginning of the year.

  • 19 And when the armies of the Lamanites saw that the people of Nephi, or that Moroni, had prepared his people with breastplates and with armshields, yea, and also shields to defend their heads, and also they were dressed with thick clothing—Alma 43:19

  • So tell me again omiolo how "Rice University has 'scientific papers' saying that the Maya had metal tools and weapons"

So tell me again omiolo2 how "Emory University has scientific papers saying that Native Americans were originally caucasian and from the middle east."

  • Thank you Professor. :)

  • LOL! Names such as Moron, you mean? Or Moroni. The list goes on. If Joseph really was gonna write a book, you'ld thjnk he'd actually use familiar biblical names for the most part. Just goes to show ya that the BOM really is an authentic ancient book of scripture!

  • I have always wanted to ride a deer. I think it would be challenging.

  • Yeah I'd like to see ya run one down - LOL!

  • one day, as long as I don't get hurt.

  • Further proof that omiolo & omiolo2 are one and the same.

Both seemed to share the same cavalier disregard for the truth.

    Now we know why!

  • you show a DISDAIN for research!

    so STOP your WHINING!

  • I embrace research totally while you make a virtue out of lying for the Lord.

You deceive by posting lies under multiple usernames.

YOU SHOULD BE BANNED FROM ALL REASONABLE DISCUSSIONS!

  • ALWAYS throwing around accusations based on your own wishful thinking.

We call that the antithesis of research.

  • Hardly wishful thinking; on this very page you can see the following exchange between BYP and the omioloses;

    omiolo2(3 weeks ago)

I have always wanted to ride a deer. I think it would be challenging.

    TheBackyardProfessor(3 weeks ago)

Yeah I'd like to see ya run one down - LOL!

    omiolo(3 weeks ago)

one day, as long as I don't get hurt.

All you omioloses are very careless!

Still waiting for you to answer ANY of my questions.

  • STILL waiting for you to do some RESEARCH!

Why do you have a DISDAIN for research??

/that was a question, see it had question marks...

  • I can't research information that clearly doesn't exist!

    Sources???

  • so NOW you are saying it does NOT exist??

    TYPICAL ANTImormon!

if it requires work and learning on your part it does NOT exist.....

  • How come no one else can find these 'Scientific Papers' either - HOOT!

You should be ashamed of YOURSELVES

  • NOW you speak for the scientific world??

you get more self centered EVERY day!

  • No omioloses, I speak for truth and honesty!

If the only way you can defend Mormon plausibility is lie and deceive, you must be desperate?

Tell me again how: "Emory University has scientific papers saying that Native Americans were originally caucasian and from the middle east."

  • @veracities

you make me laugh with all your SPIN!

thanks for routinely proving that you have NO idea how to do scientific research!

  • You don't need to do any research, you just invent your own!

  • I suppose if I buried my head in the sand and REFUSED to do research but I still wanted to feel somewhat intelligent in my own eyes, I would take your approach too!

  • How can you feel intelligent when you NEED to lie to support Mormon historicity?

You're clearly not trying to delude yourself?

You already know all your statements are false!

So how can you really believe any of this stuff?

  • I am SORRY you are confused. You even sound BRAINWASHED!

I guess that is why you are ENABLE to do INDEPENDENT research!

  • "the bible has been proven true"

    yeah, don't I wish!
