Musical Saw - Ave Maria

As far as vibrato goes, I think it's what makes the musical saw enjoyable. If it sounds like a ghost or a woman trying too hard to be an opera singer, that's when it's at its best. Some folks don't like it, but to me it's a beautiful sound. Great job.

I think, the vibrato is not really the problem. He can't hold the tune long enough, and sometimes he does not really find the tune. But it's a nice try!!!

I agree with most others - tone was not very accurate and too much vibrato ruined this piece. The accompaniment was off as well. The Bass is capable of so much more than what is being played here. Taken a little more slowly, the soloist would be able to get more of a sound, which would contribute tot he quality of this piece.

Thats an skinny bass, I play bass at my school orchestra and it is a 4/4 with a massive body. Does anyone know what kind it is?

I'd say his vibrato is a little too heavy. When you use too much vibrato on a saw it's the same as singing with too much vibrato. ANNOYING! >:[

Well too much vibrato makes the pitches sound weaker than they may be.

It's all personal preference though.

i saw him live in dusseldorf-

i did his master the saw program- took me only 4 days.

but i cut myself.
