@Browserverse no its not , you can play freely while being f2p , theres alot of quests ahich are enough to get you to lvl 14+ , and by the time you get to that , you'll have enough turbine points to get the other quest pack to level up more.

@Ayevee39 it`s relly a nice game. Don`t have any limit for F2P as level range for all players are max of 20, F2P will not have some places (quest`s) that u can`t go as F2P and so some gears, but just for playing u get favor`s when a number of total favor u get the cash for spend in shop if u get 2 avendures pack u are ok i recomend get "Vale of Twinglight" and "Carnival", but are relly balanced game.
This game is free to play my ass...you have only like 50 quests everything else u must buy..at lvl 4 i allready did half of the quests..its like demo or something..dont waste your tame -_-

I was reluctent to try the game because of all the "Nerd stereotypes" haha, bored one day decided to look to see what it was like... This guy made me want it haha, it's almost downloaded, i can't wait ^_^
You make note of a few stereotypes in this video, but one thing you could also take note of is back in the day, D&D kinda created most of these stereotypes.. You could say it is the foundation that most present day video games are made from.
(ctd) and I couldn't go to the desktop without it bugging the whole game, also the combat was definitely suited to a controller which I don't have on the pc. I just installed this game because of your recommendation and well I hated it, I found too many things that didn't work or were bugged and when I asked in game for help, lets just say the response was worse than anything I've had in wow so I deleted it immediately.
The probs I had were as follows: you have to be in the a low res to be able 2 see the UI, there were missing graphical effects like the fire effect on ur weapon in the vid even with dx11 and ultra settings
@Komati I know exactly how you feel, I to have always been interested in such games yet never had the chance to actually play DnD.
This game is very different to your regular MMO, it feels almost single-player orientated were say you'll actually feel as if your following a story and want to make more progress.
If your disappointed with this game, I don't know what to say. xD
@Komati It's fun enough. If you really want to unlock a lot of the content, you have to be willing to pay money though. Also, a lot of the really good gear can only be found from buyable mission packs. Turbine seems particularly bad about this.

I'm not sure why, but most MMORPG games piss on bow attacks. Either they nerf the damage to hell, make the bow fire so horribly slow, or have a difficult time acquiring targets. Why is that? =(
The most fun I had with bow characters were in Diablo 1, Diablo 2, and Dragonica Online. If someone else know a game that treats bow characters with respect, let me know :)
As for DDO, I'll try a mage or a bard. If those don't work out, I'll just quit the game. I dislike using melee characters =/
@dommyshan in a lot of korean MMOs, bows are absurdly overpowered :P
also, i thinks its because of the whole real time combat thing that they treid to make bows fire realistically, and ended up nerfing fire rate into the ground.
another thing is that firing from range is a lot safer than melee, so if you make it equal to melee in damage, there is no point in meleeing :/
ok I just tried it.....and I started a ranger with a bow. Qow...they really have a horrible and slow aiming system. If I accidently double click while attacking, my next attack will automatically miss, and I have to wait another 2 seconds to attack.
My party member was a fighter, and he rushed in and dispatched the critters in a few seconds. 70% of the time he was blocking my shots. 90% of the time, I ran to the side to get a clear shot at the monster, but the monster was dead already.
alright you convinced me to try it :) unzipping the client file now.......also, you got an awesome voice :D usually if i hear a british guy talking, i'll be like "wtf is he saying?"

@ephue yes it is completely free to play, and you can choose to buy stuff for it if you want too. but you will automaticly earn ingame currents that will make you able to unlock more of the game if you play enough. so if you play it enough you SHOULD be able to unlock allmost the entire game worth of content in dungeonwise.
@melkmane yes its possible to play with friends in the game. but if you play with someone a lot higher level than yourself there will be an xp penalty. however the game does have alot of different deficulty levels that will make you able to get into the deficulty you need. it also has a dungeon groupe finder where people can make and join groupes from their own server. and you will be happy to know that most people in DDO treat eachother alot better (imo) than they would do in for example WoW.
@pimp101cole dude it depends. i myself played wow for 4 years now and i got a bit tired of it since i wasnt raiding anymore. but you should definently try it out, i found that the dungeons in this game are alot of fun and the game itself is just alot more complex compared to wow when it comes to stats and how they affect your charrecter, and way you play. But give it a go and see if you like it, its free to play so u got nothing to loose really.
@rhinodude1022 It is all really a matter of opinion. I have never played Dungeons and Dragons Online, but I do play WoW. I do prefer it. In my opinion, all MMORPGs that arent just clicking a spot and watching a health bar slowly turn red, like RuneScape, are good for me.
barbarians are not bad a sneacking by no means if you rolled it right you should have high dexterity which improves your sneack skill loads i play a half orc barbarian and my guild uses me and a rouge to start combat by taking out a few mobs a start of combat were called openers
How come my battle axe, which is enchanted with flames (the same one in this video), the flame effect is not an aura around the weapon, and does not look nearly as impressive. Why is this? My graphics options are maxed!
I started playing and I made a cleric, really liking it :3 I especially like some of the death animations. Like my inflict wounds spell causes a shadowy lightning effect and a little symbol on the ground when I kill something :D

@melkmane yes its possible to play with friends in the game. but if you play with someone a lot higher level than yourself there will be an xp penalty. however the game does have alot of different deficulty levels that will make you able to get into the deficulty you need. it also has a dungeon groupe finder where people can make and join groupes from their own server. and you will be happy to know that most people in DDO treat eachother alot better (imo) than they would do in for example WoW.

@pimp101cole dude it depends. i myself played wow for 4 years now and i got a bit tired of it since i wasnt raiding anymore. but you should definently try it out, i found that the dungeons in this game are alot of fun and the game itself is just alot more complex compared to wow when it comes to stats and how they affect your charrecter, and way you play. But give it a go and see if you like it, its free to play so u got nothing to loose really.

@rhinodude1022 It is all really a matter of opinion. I have never played Dungeons and Dragons Online, but I do play WoW. I do prefer it. In my opinion, all MMORPGs that arent just clicking a spot and watching a health bar slowly turn red, like RuneScape, are good for me.

barbarians are not bad a sneacking by no means if you rolled it right you should have high dexterity which improves your sneack skill loads i play a half orc barbarian and my guild uses me and a rouge to start combat by taking out a few mobs a start of combat were called openers

How come my battle axe, which is enchanted with flames (the same one in this video), the flame effect is not an aura around the weapon, and does not look nearly as impressive. Why is this? My graphics options are maxed!

I started playing and I made a cleric, really liking it :3 I especially like some of the death animations. Like my inflict wounds spell causes a shadowy lightning effect and a little symbol on the ground when I kill something :D
