well.... if you really want to increase your ram then you will have to crack it open and solder some ram-chips into it... (although it doesn't work afterwards :P) an easier solution would be to buy an android or windows phone there is much more ram in them than the iphone will ever have ;)

@chineseboyjing it increases the page file which is when part of the harddrive is used as ram, on pcs and macs it makes them slower cause it means ram isnt being used which is faster, but cause the ipod has little ram which is very slow, it speeds it up

It's called virtual memory partitioning. And even after doing this, the speed boost won't be that noticeable and you're just taking memory away from your phone.
