If people want "free" health care, have them enroll and pay taxes into it, and they can only go to certain hospitals. Most of America was happy with the old system. The president and the liberal media forced "free" health care down our throats. We do not need it, nor do we want it. Socialized programs have failed miserably all over the world. I think mandatory birth control should be given out until you can pass an IQ test to make sure you are fit to be a parent, cheaper and problem solved! Unexpected loss of income? they chose to be at that job, and obviously they were not one of the best employees so its their fault. (and yes, they control their job situation, nobody else). You know who else gets to use "free" health care? ILLEGALS!

Well a great example is the recent economic downturn causing thousands of businesses to close down or lay off employees, therefore causing loss of income to many people. And I do not imagine that non Americans would be aloud into the hospitals, but can you really divide them from American citizens that do not pay taxes? If you really want, go private.

@brendandugan That is, quite frankly, a sick way to judge peoples parenting abilities. And because a company shuts down during the current climate does not mean they are a bad business, it just means that people are turning to the larger corporations as they can afford to be cheaper (not better). Also, what are you supposed to do if everyone started working brilliantly and efficiently? At some point there may have to be job losses due to money problems. As for hospitals, well, not my problem :)

You'll find that industry analysts have stated our debt will keep rising for a decade or two, and our economy won't return to pre-recession times for about that long either.
