my wife and i worked for this guy in 2003 i was the driver my wife bake the pies he use people and never paid them but wen he went to puerto rico for vacations he let my wife the secret recipe so now we have that recipe that i will put the video on u tube soon. he steals that recipe from his godfather
For those that didnt see this guy on 'Sweet Genius' tv show recently...OMG did you miss a laugh-a-second-fest. Its a day later and I am still laughing hard. One word for Mr Wilson: Bonsai! Hahahahahahaha!
@rutaloot I know right? What was his quote about 'If puttin that branch in my pie helps me sell a hundred of them, Mr Tod can sleep at night'...Something like that. What a beautiful train wreck to see. Gotta love these 'interviews' though. Lolz.
@pinworms70 I think what he said was something like "If I could sell 100 pies by chopping down a Bonsai Tree, I would do it every time and sleep well at night."...it was just funny how from the beginning he completely ignored the inspiration and the mandatory ingredients and just decided to make key lime pie lol I almost feel sorry for the guy because you know he will never hear the end of this
It is now Nov. 11, 2009 and unfortunately I just now saw that I got a response to my comment I made in August. I get a kick knowing someone responded to something I said, and responded positively to boot. :). So far I've not had the pleasure of Todd's pies, and I've only seen the Shark Tank that one time (working new mother w/ husband= two children).
Tod I just saw on The Shark Tank, man you should have countered in the negotiations. You gave up way to much ownership. You should have hit him with 25%. He wanted in enough and his counter would've been more than 25, but yes, less than 50. DANG!
