  • SO WAT SHOULD I DO TO GET A BETTER CHEST

  • @fbyakugan compound chest exercises.. push ups etc.. Go to scooby's channel/website and he will cover that completely

  • Good informative video again Scooby. Just wondering though, do you actually live in El Salvador like it says on your channel? thanks.

  • 1:33

lol. "and white people do that?"

Ik what u really said tho.

  • what do you think about steroids?

  • @ICrusherRiderI He has a post about it on his website.. I would tell you directly but I don't want to take things out of context..

  • Lol, sick sound effects at 0:45

  • wow this guys on the juice HARRRDD

  • @Frankii3 Thanks for the compliment! No, I dont or havent used steroids.

  • @scooby1961 you might be able to fool these people, but iv been a personal trainier for about 2 and a half years. and i have NEVER in my entire life. never mind short career.

seen a man even close...not even close to this, without using muscle enhancing products.

I happen to for factualy that you are taking anabolics of some kind. cant fool em all can we scooby.

  • @Frankii3 You're a dumbass troll.

  • @Frankii3 You have been a personal trainer for 2.5 years? I started lifting before you were born, you have no idea what is possible with three decades of lifting. BTW, unless you like jail, you might want to be careful about spouting off damaging things that you "know", its called libel - you might want to look up what it means.

  • @Frankii3 U fail. You don't need steroids to be ripped

  • @ShinyHunterBWord lol yeee right. take 1 look at this guy are kidding me ........ hes on the juice hard. you cant possibly be THAT ignorant !

  • @Frankii3 This guy's 49. If he's been working out for the past 20 - 30 years, he would easily be this ripped, especially with his limited diet.

  • @Frankii3 you are retarded

  • We're glad you're back Scoob!

  • @scooby1961 You have that video on the main page of your website. Please turn autoplay off, it starts every time I click on "Home". Thanks.

  • I like to do military press standing up. That makes sure I keep good form and not be tempted to arch.

  • i love wat scooby does and he does it well... thanks for the help scooby...

  • how old are you scoob?

  • @Minatour94

    he's 50 years old

  • i thought a bench press was wen u lay down on ur back like if u were in bed

  • @Nobbie650

it doesnt matter where you lay as long as you got the angle right.

  • scooby are you german? :P

  • @koreanwizard94 Dutch

  • yo Scooby! do you lose your weight ? I saw videos from 2009 and u were more "ripped" it's your carb cycling diet effects ? take care

  • LOL, I love Scooby's sense of humor. :p

  • NICE HAT

  • What is that phrase you always say at the end of of your videos?

  • @elvisd77

The phrase Scooby always says at the end is: "Alles klar?" . This German for saying: "All clear?/did you understand?/you get it?".

  • Hey Scoob,

Sorry to bother you this way.

I tried signing up for the forum, but to no avail.

Won't bother you with the login details and email and whatnot, but could you be so kind to put me in contact with one of your forum admins? We can delete this later.

Thanks in advance and best regards!

  • I see people do standing military presses...they ended up arching their back backwards, now would that not also start to engage the chest also?

  • fucking helium

  • When i do military press i do it on a completely flat bench and just sit straight up, that way if you cheat and lean back you will feel it in your abs.

  • Very sound advice! Absolutely true.

  • do you know about dog crap training and do you recommend it? iwant a routine but i cant find anywhere.

  • @scooby1961 do you know about dog crap training and do you recommend it? iwant a routine but i cant find anywhere.

  • @direshter

Lifting dog shit? You must be very weak

  • I have never seen people do what you are saying they do. People seem to sit right at the gyms I've been to in Vegas. The mistake they make is too many reps and locking the elbows at the apex.

  • It's funny how a lot of the bigger guys at the gym pack on the weight and severely arch their backs when doing bench and incline press. My friend was spotting a guy just last week and we couldn't believe how much he was arching. We were thinking about saying something to him about it, but weren't sure how he would take the criticism.

  • @johnnyjohnson arching your back is actually the form a lot of powerlifters use, it helps generate more power from your legs into your upper body

  • @MisterSonnyJay Exactly! Yes, powerlifters arch the back! As you say, they generate power from their legs and other body parts to maximize the lift. As a bodybuilder, your goal is not to lift a maximum of weight but rather to optimally exercise each muscle to make it stronger and bigger. Powerlifters want a max lift and they dont care if they have to recruit every muscle in their body to achieve it.

  • @scooby1961 Hello Scooby. I would like to send you a personal message. If you would please accept my friend invite, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • @Fupper16 and @Scooby.

Same here, need help to get on the forum, can't find any other way!

  • @johnnyjohnson

We're at gyms trying to get bigger

    And the bigger guys arch...

    Hmm...

I dont think you smaller guys are in a position to argue how to get big.

    : P

  • @MrHerrIQ Well, it just seems to me that arching that much isn't good for your back. You're not working the muscles that the exercise is intended to work (like this video says). And as far as "bigger" guys, Scooby is in great shape, and he says that arching is not correct form, so take it for what it's worth.

  • @johnnyjohnson

If you think Scooby hasn't arched, then good luck with that conclusion.

You need to push yourself. When you push yourself, you make funny faces, funny sounds and you arch. Anything to do that last rep or get that certain weight up.

It's these kind of excercises that is risky to do because you can injure yourself, but it's also these kind of excercises that break down muscle fibers the most.

You cant think about controlling the weight, etc. You wont grow as much.

  • @MrHerrIQ I guess I should clarify myself. When I say arch, I'm talking extreme arching, where your back and butt isn't even touching the bench. I don't think Scooby has done that when he does flat bench. And yes, I agree with you about making funny faces, sounds, etc. That definitely helps. Another thing I notice with some of the guys at the gym I attend is that they don't even have a spotter. Talk about dangerous, especially with a lot of weight.

  • @johnnyjohnson

    Ah ok.

In that case I we're in complete agreement.

  • @johnnyjohnson Dont bother giving someone with horrible form like that pointers, you will have an enemy for life. Just smile and say "wow, you are really strong". Wait till they confide in you their annoyance at their lack of progress, thats a good time to tactfully suggest that good form might help them.

  • HIGH VOICE!!

  • nice foreign language. are you learning or just making fun of someone?

  • I just wanna lick you :p

  • i would kill to have those nips

  • Abs are looking good Scooby, whatever that diet tweak is it's really working for you.

  • he looks like hes on steroids

  • oh god I do that at 1:00 like on the my last press nearly every time never thought it was wrong ! Thanks scoob, never going to do it again hehe

  • Is it me or your arms are smaller?(and I thought your arms were small before)

It's like you are losing muscle mass fast and since there is just on the arms = steroids?:D

  • @l337Gamerl337 he went through shoulder surgery, unable to train upper body for some time.

  • @l337Gamerl337 he went through shoulder surgery, unable to train upper body for some time.

  • @l337Gamerl337

its because he has injured his shoulder and cant workout upper body

    you retard!!!

  • @l337Gamerl337 I think its the angle of the camera but if not i see it too.

  • @l337Gamerl337 My arms are smaller? Gee, thanks for pointing that out! :) I havent been able to do any upper body workout for about 4 months due to my shoulder surgery. The upper body muscle mass will come back when I can workout again, whenever that is :)

  • Orange Pedofile

  • (this goes for anyone will to answer me)

What do i do if i miss a workout

  • @Nicksbia you'll shrink to dead!!! :D

  • @Nicksbia

You wait a week and make sure you ate enough protein and kcal to not lose muscle size.

  • scooby can you please make a video on how to add mass and more weight for guys like me out there, thanks alot in advance, and your a great man i like your videos, peace

  • hey scooby what do you think of the Iron Gym pull up bar?

  • hey scooby.. i have a question is swiming and basketball a good way to lose weight. i wana join both

  • hey scoob my biseps and shoulders are bigger than the other do you know what i did wrong thanx oh same here for my triceps

  • @XEHANORT1000

    So are mine, it's genetic.

I get big shoulders and triceps real easy but have a harder time to gain pecs.

All that means, is that you ought to keep training, do your best and with time you will get suffciant result. It just take a longer time for you in these areas. Likewise you probably get shoulders, like me, much easier than others. There's people out there who do their best to get big shoulders but have a hard time. It's very individualistic. Keep training, with time...

  • @MrHerrIQ i would like to know why he donent respond to anything not even a pm messege

  • @XEHANORT1000

He probably has alot to do at home with work and everything else.

Not to mention that he probably gets tons of questions both in the comment section and in the PM box. We should be thankfull that he has the generosity to actually do these videos at all. He does afterall answer some questions. Better than not answering at all.

  • @MrHerrIQ well then why cant he accept my friend request im just curious

  • you the man Scoob

  • How many days a week should i train legs?

  • Hello Scooby, i need help. i am 15 yrs. 175cm tall and 70kg.. and i want to lose weight and get stronger. how and when how often should i workout? please help me. i feel fat.. :(

  • Ya I agree you appear more lean and more defined! Looks good! :)

  • your left shoulder looks smaller now because you had surgery; did you lose muscle as a result of that? Can you regain the muscle you had?

  • If my free time is limited, is it better to do an hour and a half every two days or 45min everyday?

another question is does any of scooby's video talk about gaining weight? I'm not fat, rather skinny in fact, and I'd like to gain weight, in muscles and not fat.

very helpful vids btw, keep them coming!

  • @SorrowSacrifice Your muscles need time to heal, so if you're doing full body workouts on those days you can only do them every other day, maybe three days a week total.

Good nutrition and years of weight lifting, that's what's going to give you your muscle mass. Eat enough calories to maintain weight, don't eat too many!

  • Scooby, I especially enjoyed your video self spotting techniques where you teach about protecting the shoulder joints and safety while lifting heavy dumbbells. you have an incredible following and I think it is time for you to further help train your viewers by having your own product to sell. I think the Power Spot self spotting Barbell / dumbbell machine on youtube is the ultimate product for you to market

  • scooby are you a you tube partner? if not you definitely should be dude.

  • jajaja que hijue puta mas feo

  • Scooby just 1 question, How many days a week should i train legs?

  • @lolwut123able 1 to 2. I personally workout each bodypart once every 4-6 days.

  • @lolwut123able

    Preferably once.

Not more than twice with 3 days apart.

The leg muscles need alot of time to heal.

    They're big muscles.

  • Hey there, is it possible to get a chest as fluffed as your own just by doing pushups?

Or would I also need to lift weights by doing exercises like Bench Presses and Incline and Declines or s

  • @SphSplash

No it isn't possible to get the volume on your pecs as scooby has from doing pushups. You need to do bench press and inclines.

    Dont worry about Declines.

Let gravity take care of that.

Foccus on inclines... and obviously bench press.

  • thanks this helps, what kind workouts are best for lats?

  • What is your opinion on Military Press in front of the head versus behind the head?

  • @shouryuuken100 Everything I've heard about going behind the head is that its WAY harder on your rotator cuff and u don't see better results. so if u have even remotely bad shoulders stick to doing it in the front.

  • Hey Scooby, Been reading up on your website and following guides etc. Registered to your forum too. Been working out for 3 weeks now. I have been doing whole body workouts as I am a beginner. Is it ok to do workout every day?. Trying to get to grips with calories and protein intake at the moment. Will keep my progress updated on the forum. I am noticing muscle getting more developed and toned but still fat there. Time for more reading.

  • Green face ?

    its a shrek !!!

  • @StamatisK He doesn't answer personal fitness questions, you can ask question on the AskScooby forum.

  • Hey scooby around this time people start to bulk up. I was wondering if you had any advice for endomporphs ( people who put on fat easy). Everyone talks about hard gainers but not the guys who put on fat easily. Appreciate all your help.

  • Hey scooby i ran/walked 10.10 miles this week is that a good distance to go thanks

  • Can anybody tell can you still do military press with a chair? My bench doesnt go almost viertical.

  • @St33ben No, don't lean against anything. The best option is to do military press standing, as it is also great for increasing your ''core'' strength.

  • $#@% i didnt realize i was doing a bench press the whole time.

  • hahahahah this really helped me because i was doing all of those wrong

  • If you look at a recent article on bodybuilding . com written by a Phd doctor/trainer in sports medicine. You will see an interesting study that illustrates 85% shoulder engagement during incline bench and rest (very little) upper chest. The best way according to them is to do reverse grip bench press and push with your chest, for maximum upper chest muscular activity. I have actually been doing a lot of reverse grip bench (flat) and its a good way to transfer that tension to your chest.

  • @StamatisK do it in the channel or in he's website

  • great body but I think you should do your neck and shoulders a little, you have a pencil neck for a guy your side.. no offence

  • haha awesome video!

  • Scooby, I love your "Alles klar?" and "Aufwiedersehen" at the end of the video ;)

  • I like your "alles klar?" at the end :)

    best regards from austria

    auf wiedersehen :)

  • You sound like those weak skinny guys but when people look at u they are "OH SHIT"

  • Another great video! Seriously love your videos and forum, very inspirational guy to thousands!

  • Is scooby married?

  • This made me laugh, because this is so true. I also see this and much more at my local gym. Thanks for another great video Scooby :)

    Keep up the good work!

  • scoobbyyyyy YOU ARE THE FUCKIN BEESTTTTTTTTTTT IZ WOULD BE NICE TO SEE YOU IN A GYM AS A TRAINER :-)

  • @drunkkangaroo...yeah..i think scooby weighs 245 lbs and is 6'3".

im 6'3" and 212 lbs so it is impressive to see how he maintains such a high weight with no fat. i just had thanksgiving last weekend away, and stuffed my face but didnt take in much protein or meals per day....i lost 2 lbs..lol..scooby is awesome.

  • Doesnt military bench also help in triceps?

  • @EKmion: Every pressing-excercise also trains the triceps just like every pulling-excercise also trains the biceps.

  • 23 ppl are couch potatoes, just saying

  • anybody knows scoobys height and weight? scooby?

  • Now that you mention this I completely notice all of my friends doing this at the gym, I wonder why they are "military pressing" so much weight, but its really just an incline. By the way, your abs look a lot bigger lately, I was wondering what some other good exercises with weight are for your abs, I've been doing your the super set in your video you posted about 2 years ago, I've been getting great results, but I think I should change my ab exercises soon. Thanks a lot

  • alles klar? xD ...i love it

by the way you are a hero..thanks a hundret times!!

  • Hi Scooby i'm training in the parks - calisthenics exercises im 18 with normal weight and I only push myself so far on dips and bars but I've seen that people with less weight tend to be more resilient and go further. So I thought about a diet so mabye I can lose a couple of pounds even though I don't exactly need to. But my friends suggest that I should do a lot of weightlifting mainly for the shoulders. I have little interest in weightlifting currently but will that improve my core strenght?

  • Thx!

  • Scooby I am doing workouts in my home with with a set of dumbells and barbell but I am also in martial arts 2 to 3 days a week. My question is: if I practice my martial arts monday, wednesday and friday and I also do my workouts 5 days in the week thats will make that I lose some mass and volume or its good and dont lose mass? Oh and I am using whey protein the days that I go to my practice. Thanks Scooby!

  • hi scooby. How big are your biceps?

  • @KajHags Thanks Kaj, yep I have been working on getting leaner with my carb cycling. I'm following the precise meal plan as shown on my website and it WORKS!

  • Love your info as usual, I was thinking the same thing but it's already been said you're looking smaller haha. On the bright side your abs look much more detailed now.

Your advice on proper form was a real wake up call to me, I see people all the time packing on tons of weight for just about every excercise you can think of then they use just about every cheap trick you can think of to cheat their way through the workout , it's pathetic really.

  • I can definitely understand that, Scoob. Thanks for the refresher.

  • Hey scooby, i only have 2 days a week to workout. how should i split my workout. like which muscle should i work on which day

  • @eeshenful Only two days a week to workout? Not sure what ability level you are but assuming you have been lifting less than a year I would just do whole body workouts twice a week. If you are more advanced than that then I would do lower body on one of the two days and upper body on the other day.

  • @scooby1961 Your contribution to the fight against "bro-science" is always good! I was wondering, what do you lift in squat, deadlift, benchpress and curls? :)

  • Comment removed

  • Wouldn't standing up be better for military press? That way you are sure to get a straight up and down exercise focusing on your deltoids. ...at least that is how I perform my military press (maybe I have the name wrong?).

  • Great video scooby, I actually notice this too lots of times at my school gym. People use heavy weights to show off thinking they are doing military presses when they are basically doing incline presses. I just laugh at how crooked and slouched they are.

  • None its cool like that. lol (:

  • Your voice does not match your body. Good information though

  • @TheMissile831 My voice doesnt match my body? Which do you suggest changing? :)

  • @scooby1961 haha ik right, its kind of a pointless comment

  • i thought u worked out at home.. how can you see people at the gym?

  • @jdonx I do have a gym membership to get indoor pool access for lap swimming and indoor cardio when it gets gross in the winter.

  • @jdonx

    O.o

  • Scooby, you won't answer this but maybe someone else will.

    Is it true........

Do big weight w/ low reps to gain size?

    and

Do smaller weight with high reps to get "cut"?

i just want a straight answer once and for all cause i'm already cut, but i can't seem to gain any size!!!

  • @xCod3Blu3x Check out the forum at ScoobysWorkshop com. Scooby as well as others can help you with ALL of your fitness goals...and, as always, its free!

  • @xCod3Blu3x Do big weight w/ low reps to gain size? This ones correct. lifing heavy increases seize and strength, but lifting light weights with high reps does NOT make you cut. To get cut, you need to diet and do cardio.

  • get your fat level up,u look unhealthy mate

  • scooby I thought you didn't believe in going to the gym? LOL :P

  • You would be surprised at how many shoulder press seats my gym goes through every year because people pack on too much weight, use poor form and break the back rests.

  • you deserve a Nobel prize man.. SERIOUSLY

  • Great video. I see people doing like that all the time. Always good for a chuckle.

  • that bench setup looks a bit wobbly scoob!

  • ur looking smaller man! whats going on !

  • @hedbilll98 Whats going on? Its called shoulder surgery :)

  • @scooby1961 same when i had wrist surgery i lost 20 pounds, but i also had really bad food poinsoning that helped with the losing weight. im working out every day now trying to gain it back. its been 3 weeks and im still not seeing much improvement even though im killing myself at the gym. do you suggest anything?

  • @verwilliar

I might be able to help, you probably shouldnt be strength training every day, see if you're training right with proper form and all then your muscles are going to be broken down, and they take rest in order to build up. Many bodybuilders only do one hardcore strength training seesion a week and let their muscles repair the rest of the week, if you're not at that level then I suggest working out 3 times a week and giveing your muscles rest days between workouts.

  • @stxlandil that helps thanks, but ive been only doing two muscle groups a day when i work out and do another two the next so i do have time to rest my muscles in between. but im just not seeing many results, i think it could be from too much cardio cause i think i might be losing some wieght from that haha

  • @scooby1961 from being so huge? lol

  • @scooby1961 Scooby can you tell me how much that bench costs ?? pls reply or PM me
