  • Why can't Apple implement this feature into OS X?

  • Why doesn't Apple use this?!

  • Or you could to a Shift-click on the green button...

  • This video went viral on Dhaka

  • This video went viral on Togo

  • I found that RightZoom produced some very odd and frustrating mousing behaviour in certain applications.

In Logic Pro my mouse would sometimes get stuck on and I would accidentally drag things around. In Adobe Reader the GUI would sometimes freeze for a few seconds.

After removing RightZoom, all this weird and annoying behaviour that made me thing that I was going mad had disappeared!

    YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

  • i downloaded this to use with quicktime, no luck.

  • you are a doll! Had my Imac two years and it drove me crazy having this HUGE screen, and websites weren't full screen, just I photo...Great!

  • freaking awsome!!!!!!!!! i was wondering about it too, i just made my transition and that is the one thing i miss from windows! cool thanks

  • dude...just use firefox!

  • You guys are just jealous that you don't have enough money to own a Mac. I don't have one, so you can't argue.

  • AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AND I USED MACS AT GRAPHIC DESIGN THINKING IT WAS A BUG BUT NO.

    MAAAACFAAAAAAGS AHAHAHAHAA

  • HEY YOU USE A MAC BECAUSE YOU HAVE HOMOSEXUAL TENDENCIES AND I HOPE THAT MADE YOU FEEL BAD.

  • Show them the program that you need to use the right mouse button.

OH SHIT I FORGOT ONLY ONE MOUSE BUTTON LOL

  • oh wait, you were serious. let me laugh even harder.

  • >Having to download something to maximize.

  • @TheLeafhopper BUT IT WERKZ

  • Good video, but lol osx fail.

  • Mac users have to download a program to do what Windows has been able to do since the 90s?

    HAH.

  • @purpleeggguy Of course not. They need to download an App™.

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH

  • Thanks so much, i feel exactly the same way about Apple, they make everything amazing but don't a little button that maximizes!

  • I know I'm a little late but just picked up a Mac Pro and noticed the "maximize" issue right away. Thanks much for the tip!! TRULY APPRECIATED!!!

  • apple osx still not have cute paste, no NTFS, resizing screens all day long, clutered fugly dock, desktop aliases/shortcuts dont align properly...

i would rate osx just a pretty version of windows 3.1

  • the green button makes the windows big enough for all of the content to be displayed. sometimes it makes it smaller and sometimes it makes it bigger.

  • thats great thanks a lot

  • Some apps, like text edit and calendar, when you click the green button, it makes it full size.

Interesting that Snow leopard doesn't have something as basic as maximize window built in to the O/S.

  • awesome.....

    thank u so much.... :)

  • yeah i bumped into this problem aswell when i got my first mac, its really a big miss by apple and i wish they could fix this so you dont have to download a app only for a simple task like that

  • thank you.u minimized my agony.

  • Christopher Walken!

  • is the dock still visible

  • @TheDustyjshow I would like to know as well...

  • Thanks for the share...!!! Much help Cheers mate

  • Thanks for the share!!!! It started to get weird without maximize this solves it :) Cheers mate

  • Mac's maxmize button is used to stretch the window to fit everything in it. Personally, I don't like the whole "full screen" thing. I prefer Mac's "fit" look. But I'm glad that someone has this for those people who prefer the Windows look to windows.

  • Omg thank you! It was killing me that I couldnt maximize my window, it's annoying to keep going to the corner & drag the arrow-thingy to make it bigger.

  • cooool! but what happens if you have your dock configured to be always showing??? does it maximize over the dock??? or you can see the dock over the maximized window?

  • thanks really much it really help

  • @DISCREETxGAMER im glad it did!

  • Thank you so much for this tip.

  • Hey great video!

Just one question, does this program startup when Mac OS boots up? I hate items starting up on any computer that are not essential items for the OS.

    Thanks!

  • THANKS SOOO MUCH, im in the transition from mac to windows, and when at the apple store trying out macs, that was the only thing i didnt like bout macs. and u have sorted out my only issue XD cheerzz =D

  • @super2matt glad I could help. Once you go mac you will never go back, it really is true. Mac OS X does have its flaws, but it is still better than windows.

  • @thesavage042 i just got my first MacBook today and the windows-maximizing issue was a bit annoying, so I really appreciate that you posted this.

  • Thanks for this mate - its really helpful.

  • hey so does this always startup as a "startup item" in mac os? I just hate a bunch of startup items that would slow down the startup process etc

  • the maximize button is a big deal when you open multiple .doc files. when you do, each files that you open after the first will get smaller and smaller. Then when you go and edit the size of those that you just opened after the first it some times become the default window size the next time you open that program

  • You just removed another reason why I shouldn't get a Mac.

I'm running out of things to prevent me spending £900 =P
