  • THIS SONG IS GOD. NOT GODLY. GOD. END.

  • This is one of my top 10 albums.

  • Absolutely 2 of the best albums i've heard!! Frusciante must have been hearing much Joy Division while making this, i can hear the influence in this song in particular!

  • CoSmO

  • i'm struggling with depression, nothing serious but that feeling of being all alone in the world. this album is where it's at. sometimes when you're lonely you don't need anything but music.

  • @braindrain52389 very true

  • @braindrain52389 ah shit |: welcome to the alone club then.

  • @braindrain52389 man i feel the same, think about suicide, don't think i'd ever go through with it, but even though this music is dark, emotionally wrenching, it somehow remains beautiful and well... comforting. I feel for you man! Good luck.

  • Does anyone know of other bands that sound similar?

  • @GumballMachine13 I haven't listened to these groups, but they are listed under the same Experimental Rock genre: Faust, The Art Bears, Frank Zappa (that's probably good since he is one of John's favorite guitarists), and Can. try those

  • @BlastFromYesterday Ok, i'll be sure to check them out

  • @GumballMachine13 anything with Omar Rodriguez Lopez in :)

  • @CrispyXR ill be sure to check them out, thnx

  • @CrispyXR I checked them out, they're great! Thnx for the update (:

  • @GumballMachine13 hahahaha

  • heavy D

  • Ahhhhhh i love this

  • Anybody know what's being used for the solo @ 8:08? Damn I love this song! :D

  • @Fnkyfck dude I was wondering the same thing

  • @QNT3N I think Kings of Leon use the same on 'Celebrations', and a first guess is maybe a Digitech Whammy. But that wouldn't be the only one, he definitely uses more..

  • @QNT3N Whammy bar + feedback

  • @Fnkyfck I think they're playing with feedback between the guitar and amp

  • @Fnkyfck

sounds like an "inverted" wahwah... plug your guitar into the output of the wah, and the input of the wah to the (pedals) amp.... turn the pedal on and play with your guitar volume/tone knobs.... not shure if it works with every wah... David Gilmour did the same thing at "Echoes"... enjoy! :-)

  • @GoreLap I have an Ibanez WH-10, I'll try it and let you know if it works! ;D and @Joenuh1991 that's also a possibility, I'm gonna test some things and see if I get near this tone. (:

  • @GoreLap let me know what works

  • @QNT3N You mean like, with which wah pedal it works? It works just fine with my crybaby gcb-95... I'm pretty sure it also works with a vox wah... Not shure if it works with an WH10... Never played one...

  • @GoreLap It only works with vintage wah pedals. Pink Floyd does the same thing with their seagull sounds. Newer pedals dont let you do it.

  • @TheKliffin I don't think it has anything to do with pedals that are vintage or not... It's about the circuit of the pedal. Fasel inductor type wah's (crybaby/vox) never really changed their circuitry since the 60's... I doubt if it works with a wh10, because that wah uses opamps instead of a fasel inductor... Anyway, it works fine with my 1990's gcb95... peace!

  • @GoreLap I get what you mean. But I was reading something in a guitar mag about it. It was something that older vintage style wah pedals had that the newer ones didn't. Something about the input and outputs not so much the circuit board (although it is all connected). I couldn't tell you what it was now because I read it a few years ago. But hey thanks for sharing! I may try to get my hands on what you have!

  • @Fnkyfck i think you need a piece of metal like your tremolo. then you have to mute the strings with your lefthand and slide, with the metal, one string upwards or downwards ;D

  • @Fnkyfck That part reminds me of pink floyd. Same sound is used in Echoes.

  • @Fnkyfck

    its some kind of oscillating...

search for fuzz factory, the guitarist from muse is using it.

  • Who is singing?

  • @voula1111 joe lally

  • @voula1111 Hi there again!John recorded it with Joe Lally of Fugazi and Josh Klinghoffer.. anamenomeno oti 8a hsoun kai edo;) We love John!

  • it's a shame that john's albums are so expensive and rare,

you really have to search for them and then they cost another $25

  • this is some of the most amazing music i have ever heard, i can't believe how short lived this band was!!!!

  • Amazing song, if only I could buy the album here (aus).

  • This song makes my heart feel whole.

  • super funky track
