No mention of his IMHO best role: (of course premier Romanov as mentioned below is up there) the Mentat Kolinar Koltrass in the Emperor: Battle for Dune game?
I knew Nicholas and Sheila before they were married. They frequented the restaurant my mom and I worked at (Eddie Saul's in Encino). Nicholas was the kindest, gentlest man I've ever met. He was also very religious, often bringing a bible to the restaurant with him. He and Sheila were both so soft-spoken; they seemed perfect for each other. When he heard that my father passed away, he attended the funeral. He was a genuinely lovely human being, and he made the world a better place.
Nicholas and I were very close for some years and his lovely wife Sheila. I was always supportive to him when he lived in Studio City. In his last decade he did struggle financially and he was always dissapointed he was not taken more seriously as an actor. He told me he thought of me as his son. I still miss him and our talks.
@Euadam that's very sad, i can't believe he wasn't taken serious he played a great villain and everything else i seen him in he was top notch, he basically made the entire film of swamp thing for me the scenes without him were pretty unbearable. Your story was really interesting to read, i never could find much information on him, the only interview i was aware of was the one on the Don't Answer the Phone DVD SE.
Great call, mrparka. Nick Worth was a terrific character actor, as well as -- from everything I've read or heard -- a real gentleman. He'll be missed.
i never played the game command and conqueror but i did see clips he seemed to be an awesome character, i was thinking about playing them just for him. Worth it?
I'm not trying to be nosey but, can you please tell me how you know Nicholas Worth? I've known him since I was a kid & I'm 43 now. when I heard about his death, it floored me. I miss him & would like to trade good & funny stories about nick. please respond thank you, Fred L. Steele.
Nicolas used to come in to my work regularley. I knew him from there. One particular thing i can tell you about Nicolas is that he was a hypocondriac. Not only did he wash his pots and dishes with the best dishwashing soaps, but he subsequently boiled them to completley sterilize them. He was this big scary guy on the outside but incredible sensitive and gentle on the inside.
hes the guy in they live and wish master (i wish he would get cancer and die lol) isn't he. I even think hes in village of the damned remake carpenter likes to use him, i would have to do some more in depth research on him.
Yeah, he's played a hobo a few times..hobo in Wishmaster..hobo in Bodybags. He was the badass maniac in Drive In Massacre and the crazy drunk stepfather in Waxwork 2. He always played his obscure roles so good and you were almost always creeped out by him.
How about Sid Haig? A lot of people don't know that he was a cult actor in the 70s, before the RobZombie-flicks. Or maybe he is too famous already?! No clue.
Or you know what: Richard Lynch would be my favorite for your next special. That would be awesome.
Richard Lynch would be perfect hes awesome. Cut and Run, Puppet Master 3, Alligator 2, Sword and the Sorcerer, Halloween Remake. hes damn good actor to. Hes even in the Seven Up's. As for Sig Haig i love him, but am not super familiar with his blaxexploitation movies, i love spider baby but i'm afraid thats not enough lol.
I'm glad you welcome my suggestion. Lynch is one of the coolest type-cast-villains ever. He's also great in that Chuck-Norris-flick - Invasion USA. And yeah, Sid Haig is bad-ass in the Pam Grier films.
These tributes to Nicholas Worth and Tom Towles have been great. I had no idea how many films I'd seen these guys in and not recognized them. For the record, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE freaked me out as a kid. I was somehow able to rent it when I was around 13 from a convenience store. I bought the uncut DVD which has some terrific features. I love grindhouse sleaze.

It's worth to play both for Nicholas AND the game. The exact names of the games are;
Red Alert 2
and its expansion pack
Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge
He was probably the most beloved character in all C&C history, so charming.
You can watch the videos of the game on YouTube too, they've uploded all of them.

i watched a couple i'll look into it thanks :)

I have yet to see Don't Answer the Phone. I will have to pick it up this week.
Armed and Dangerous is such a timeless classic film.
I don't remember him in Coma, but I am sure he played a small docotor role. I'll have to throw it in.
I enjoyed watching this very much so. Thank you for doing this series. Can't wait for the next one.
