I understand you're trying to relate to him/ her and make a point. But Stallone in fact, never said Rocky V was complete shit. I am a avid Rocky fan, and enjoy all 6 movies. I think this movie is done extremely well, but I don't think that the fifth movie was horrible. As a matter of fact several Rocky fans enjoy them all. The subjectivity of it all almost becomes irrelevant...

There are 6 movies, I happen to enjoy all of them. Some people only enjoy the 1st, 2nd. Each to their own.

Just because I want to take it further for myself...Each movie is different and some people like the 4th, 2nd, 1st. Some people like the 3rd, 1st...they are all different. What is subjective is irrelevant, but only relevant socially. XD ...And no, there is no ultimate validation to say these movies are crap . I happen to love all 6 movies, but many people won't. That's subjective but makes for a weak argument at face value.

Dixon and Rocky had alot of mutual respect. Unlike Lang and Drago who were just out to destroy people this movie was more of a inspiration. All of them are great though :D

Plus they had contact with many world champions and had feedback on the sport. Of course, the prolonged fights are there for the drama. You should watch some documentaries about the Rocky movie and why it was even made. Silvester Stallone was fed up with oldschool boxing movies having HORRENDOUS boxing matches (even worse than you see in movies today) where they literally punch to the body then head without any posturing, jabbing, etc. Rocky was a quantum leap at least compared to those.

There's a lot of cinematic history behind it if you delve into it.
